The B3608 is a trainer implementing the FIRING-ANGLE CONTROL technique applied to DC motor controls. This unit includes a single-phase hybrid bridge consisting of two diodes and two thyristors.

The B3610 trainer is a DC motor driver/controller designed to be used as a training aid in courses of Industrial Electronics and Electrotechnical studies. The trainer is suitable for use on desktop. The trainer is a three-phase, 380-415VAC operated unit (other voltages are pre-set on request) capable of four quadrant drive of DC motors up to 1.2kW. Separate-inductor type and permanent magnet type motors can be used. The trainer includes on-board a DC power supply for the field inductor. The unit includes a safety provision to inhibit armature supply in default of field supply. The field supply is 200V. The power drive section of the trainer consists of a transistor output stage, with inbuilt flyback diode protection.

B3611G Mounted with the standard B3610G motor and optional optical encoder unit (B3615) The B3611G is an accessory to the B3610G trainer and consists of an additional motor/generator mounted on a sturdy base plate. The motor/generator is provided with a flexible coupling allowing easy attachment of the motor supplied as standard with the B3610G trainer. This DC machine is of the permanentmagnet type and does not require external field excitation. It can be used both as a

B3615 – PC INTERFACE FOR DC MOTOR CONTROLLERS The B3615 PC interface module is an addon unit for all the DC motor speed controllers (B3608, B3609, B3610, B3610G) that permits the operation of the drive under both LOCAL (front panel controls) and remote PC control, via a serial RS 232 link and dedicated support software. The B3615 unit is microprocessor-based and allows great flexibility of features. The PC interface module receives information from a PC which has a support program is loaded, to set the motor drive operating status and also sends motor speed information to the PC to allow this indication to be displayed in Revolution Per Minute (RPM).
