Une porte se ferme, une autre s’ouvre
L’exposition collective Une porte se ferme, une autre s’ouvre, réunit les travaux des étudiant·e·s en échange international à l’École des Beaux-arts de Marseille. Les douze étudiant·e·s, d’âges et d’horizons différents, se sont immergé·e·s dans Marseille pendant quelques mois, se laissant influencer et stimuler par ce contexte, au cours d’un voyage de recherche et d’expérimentation. Différentes pratiques - photographies, sculptures, éditions et installations - sont exposées dans l’environnement domestique et vivant du Salon du Salon. Les sujets abordés sont aussi variés que les approches des étudiant·e·s. Ce qui les unit, c’est le lieu de l’exposition : à la fois réel et fictif, naturel et humanisé, familier et inexploré, intime et collectif. Chaque année, les Beaux-Arts de Marseille accueillent des étudiant·e·s en échange international dans le cadre du Programme Erasmus + et d’accords de coopération. En fin de semestre, le service de la mobilité internationale organise une restitution publique donnant une visibilité à leur recherche artistique. The group exhibition Une porte se ferme, une autre s’ouvre1 brings together the work of international exchange students at the École des Beaux-arts de Marseille. The twelve students, of different ages and backgrounds, immersed themselves in Marseille for a few months, allowing themselves to be influenced and stimulated by this context, during a journey of research and experimentation. Different practices - photographs, sculptures, editions and installations - are exhibited in the lively, domestic environment of the Salon du Salon. The subjects are as varied as the students’ approaches. What unites them is the place of the exhibition: both real and fictional, natural and humanised, familiar and unexplored, intimate and collective. Every year, the Beaux-Arts de Marseille welcomes international exchange students as part of the Erasmus +, programme and cooperation agreements. At the end of the semester, the international mobility service organises a public presentation of their artistic research.

Depuis décembre 2013, Salon du Salon développe un programme avec des artistes et curateurs invités à développer des propositions d’exposition. Les formes et les développements dépendent des projets : édition, conversations, performances, recherches, résidences, publications et plus. SALON DU SALON is a project dedicated to contemporary art and a publishing house. Since December 2013, Salon du Salon has been working with artists and curators invited to develop exhibition proposals.
