INTRODUCTION Now entering its 8th consecutive year, Salon Privé is the UK’s premier ‘boutique’ motoring event comprising of a Motor Show, a Concours d’Elégance, a Tour d’Elégance, a Ladies’ Day, an Art & Memorabilia Fayre and a Luxury Brands Village. It is a hospitality-only event appealing to discerning guests, collectors, buyers, owners and enthusiasts who prefer a more intimate and engaging experience. It is a presentation of the very finest automotive and luxury brands as well as the rarest and most valuable of classic cars and motorcycles, all of which are beautifully displayed on the lawns of one of the country’s most spectacular stately homes, Syon Park. Syon Park is an exceptionally beautiful country estate set amidst 200 acres of park and woodland and the London home of His Grace The 12th Duke of Northumberland. With the River Thames and Kew Gardens nearby, it is an area of outstanding beauty yet surprisingly, it lies just 7 miles from the centre of London.

SUPER CARS Salon Privé is an event where guests can relax, enjoy superb hospitality and choose their latest automotive acquisition. It is the only ‘motor show’ in the UK to focus purely on premium and super car brands and as such, the manufacturers at Salon Privé represent the very pinnacle of the automotive market. Many of them choose the event to launch new models and in some cases, their brand to the market. The open ‘Garden Party’ style of the event allows guests uninterrupted access to all of the cars on display without the usual queues and barriers associated with a ‘public’ motor show. CONCOURS D’ELÉGANCE The Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance has become a key feature of Salon Privé. In the same way as Pebble Beach blends old with new, so has Salon Privé successfully incorporated a judged classic car event alongside the manufacturers’ displays. Attracting hugely wealthy collectors, owners and enthusiasts from around the world, the Concours has become an event in itself that last year saw over 100 fabulously rare and valuable motor cars displayed on the lawns for the three days. With the introduction in 2012 of dedicated classes to mark specific celebrations such as 25 years of the Ferrari F40 and 60 years of the Mercedes-Benz SL with a stunning line up of Gullwings, as well as a dedicated design class which focused on Italian Coachbuilders, Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, it was far and away the best yet. Equally impressive was the line up of no less than 17 judges including Chief Judge Derek Bell MBE, CEO of Aston Martin, Dr Ulrich Bez, Director of Design at Aston Martin, Marek Reichman, Styling Director at McLaren Automotive, Frank Stephenson and Head of Zagato, Andrea Zagato, to name but a few. Now frequently compared with such established events as The Quail, Villa d’Este and Pebble Beach, it is, without question, the UK’s most prestigious Concours d’Elégance.

CORPORATE HOSPITALITY Salon Privé is a premium hospitality event where the dining experience is of paramount importance and a key contributor to your guests’ lasting impression. Salon Privé represents exceptional value for money and has a well-earned reputation for delivering fabulous cuisine comparable with the very best social occasions (tickets include all food and beverages including Pommery Champagne). Syon Park now affords Salon Privé and its guests a far larger external footprint allowing for greater outdoor hospitality options. The real treasure, however, lies in Syon House itself where, depending on the size of the group, guests will be able to choose from the State Dining Room, The Great Conservatory and even The Duke’s Private Dining Room, for that very special occasion.

Absolute Taste has been providing fabulous food for high profile clients all over the world since its formation in 1997 by Ron Dennis and Lyndy Redding. Since then, the company has grown from providing the hospitality for the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula One team to being one of London’s leading caterers. Absolute Taste collaborates with, and has access to, some of the UK’s most celebrated chefs to produce their menus. Absolute Taste’s experience at the highest level, as well as their flair and imagination for creating fabulous dishes, goes hand in hand with the bespoke and exclusive nature of Salon Privé and together, we are committed to delivering the very best in hospitality and service.

The Boodles Ladies’ Day at Salon Privé has become a very firm fixture on the social calendar. As with every other day, it’s relaxed and uncrowded but there is definitely a sense of friendly competition in the air on Thursday as ladies arrive in beautiful, often flamboyant hats and equally stunning dresses, each hoping to be crowned Boodles Best Dressed Lady, with the winner going home with a stunning piece of Boodles jewellery. It’s a vibrant day full of colour and excitement which sees the final selection of ladies escorted to one of the awaiting classic cars and driven around the event before returning to the Boodles marquee and awaiting the final decision.

The culinary skills of our catering partners combined with the heritage and sheer opulence of Syon House make Salon Privé a unique hospitality opportunity, not to mention, a thrilling experience. From sumptuous lobster luncheon in a Private Hospitality Suite on the concours lawns to the specially designed Fine Dining Experience in the Duke of Northumberland’s Private Dining Room, the variety and flexibility of unrivalled indoor and outdoor options allows us to accommodate groups ranging in size from 10 to 600.

THE PRIVATE HOSPITALITY SUITE Located on the Concours Lawn and catering for 24 guests, the Private Hospitality Suite comprises of a witches hat marquee, wooden flooring, lining, lighting, sofa, chairs and coffee table as well as an adjoining private paddock area furnished with tables, chairs and parasols. Quite simply, it offers private outdoor dining at its very best and it is the perfect opportunity to entertain clients, customers and colleagues in the most luxurious of surroundings. Morning coffee, lobster luncheon, English afternoon tea and drinks will be delivered to your marquee and served as a buffet by your very own Salon Privé hostess.

OUTDOOR RESERVED DINING Also located on the Concours Lawn, the Reserved Dining Marquee allows guests to enjoy full hospitality within a private marquee without missing any of the action on the lawns. 6 tables of 10 are available and the marquee is fully furnished with wooden flooring, lining and lighting. Luncheon is presented within the marquee and hostesses are on hand to serve champagne and drinks and look after guests. THE GREAT CONSERVATORY The Great Conservatory was built in 1826 and today sits within its own private walled garden complete with ornamental fountain and beautifully manicured lawns designed by Capability Brown (Kew Gardens, Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle). It is a breath-taking structure that offers great flexibility for daytime or evening entertaining. The Great Conservatory works extremely well for both corporate and personal functions, for example as a stylish party or drinks party for up to 200 guests or alternatively, a sit down dinner for up to 150 guests.

THE STATE DINING ROOM One of Robert Adams more grand designs with its arched recesses, halfdomes and columns and spectacular ceiling plaster, the State Dining Room is a wonderfully light and airy room that overlooks the lawns on which the Concours d’Elégance is located, accessed via The Red Drawing Room. The State Dining Room offers flexible dining for between 50 and 80 guests depending upon the table configuration which can either be a combination of 8 rounds or 1 long rectangular table.

THE DUKE OF NORTHUMBERLAND’S PRIVATE DINING ROOM & THE GREEN DRAWING ROOM To this day, The Duke entertains family and friends in his Private Dining Room and much of the furniture in here, including the mahogany extending table and the dining chairs, dates back to the early 19th century. Other furnishings date back to 1770. As with a lot of the rooms at Syon House, the room was remodelled by Robert Adams and spectacular 17th and 18th century paintings adorn the walls. This is private dining at its most prestigious and is the crème de la crème of our hospitality offering. The Private Dining Room is not normally available at Syon but is kindly offered to us by The Duke of Northumberland. On arrival guests meet in The Green Drawing Room for a Pommery Champagne Reception before being shown into the adjoining Private Dining Room, where 24 guests are seated on early 19th century furniture. Our catering partners, Absolute Taste, collaborate with many renowned and famous chefs that they can approach on your behalf to create a fabulous menu to suit all occasions.

THE GARDEN ROOM MARQUEE The Garden Room Marquee at Syon Park is located in the gardens adjacent to the Super Car and Classic Car Lawns. This spectacular venue offers reserved seating for up to 600 guests and is therefore ideal for larger corporate luncheons or dinners. The daytime package includes luncheon with table service, English afternoon tea, Pommery Champagne, selected wines and complimentary bar. Canapés and a bespoke 3 course menu available upon request.
