A Multilanguage Culture Environment allows people to communicate with their healthcare practitioners, more effectively because they are able to understand the information presented to them. A Multilanguage Culture Environment also has documented benefits for organizations that use it in their facilities. Hospitals, Language, and Culture: A Snapshot of the Nation (HLC) is a crosssectional qualitative study funded by The California Endowment designed to explore how 60 hospitals across the country provide health care to culturally and linguistically diverse patient populations.
