The food & drink Feeling peckish? By day, you can enjoy an elegant afternoon tea in Crewe Hall’s sophisticated, oak-panelled lounge looking out over tranquil gardens. As evening falls, head to the atmospheric Brasserie Bar and Lounge, where the menu, just like the surroundings, has a contemporary twist on classic favourites and, in keeping with the overall wow factor of Crewe Hall, it also features a striking rotating bar!

Light bites include a selection of soups, sandwiches and salads, but if you’re looking for something more filling, try something from the restaurant’s ‘Pie Shop’. Here, you can choose from: steak and ale; lamb, pea and mint; chicken and leek; or butternut squash, mixed bean and cheese – all served with creamy mash or thick-cut chips and buttered peas. We finished with classic crumble tart and sticky toffee pudding – yummy.

The Spa Crewe Hall may be a historic gem, but they certainly haven’t skimped on 21st-century comforts. Plunge into the heated indoor pool or luxury Jacuzzi, sauna or steam room before heading off for a feel-good treatment in the rejuvenating spa. We particularly loved the Couture Touch treatment, which allows you to combine any 25-minute or 50-minute Elemis facial with a 25-minute or 50-minute Freestyle Deep Tissue Back Massage – the perfect relaxation combo!

There’s a newly upgraded Health Club too, which boasts a state-of-the-art gym, complete with top of the range Life Fitness equipment, all fully connected with the latest technology to offer an immersive workout experience, plus an exercise studio and two outdoor tennis courts.
