Recardo’s / Hale / Nightlife

Based in the centre of Hale's vibrant village, this two-floor venue (formerly Suburbia) was recently relaunched by popstar and entrepreneur Recardo Patrick as Cheshire’s first coffee-bar-to-club concept. By day, Recardo's is a fabulously floral café and by night, transforms into a high-end nightclub featuring line-ups of live performers and DJs playing ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s classics. The early risers among us can choose from a wide range of premium teas or expertly blended barista coffees. Afternoon tea offers light bite sandwiches and a selection of locally sourced artisan patisseries and cakes. The big question is whether you’ll pair these tasty afternoon treats with coffee, cocktails or a chilled Prosecco? Every Friday and Saturday, party from dusk until dawn in the basement nightclub, which gives us all the Studio 54 vibes. The lead-up to the Christmas party season certainly looks fun for Cheshire…

Floating Earth Installation / Salford Quays / Art & culture

This bold and epic Floating Earth art installation by Luke Jerram is inspired by our relationship with the planet and an acceleration to tackle climate change. Guests can expect to see planet Earth like it has never been seen before. Created from 1200dpi detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface and measuring 10 metres in diameter, the awe-inspiring artwork provides the opportunity to see our planet floating in three different dimensions. Plus, there’s a magical, surround-sound musical track by BAFTA award-winning composer Dan Jones. The installation is part of Lightwaves, the annual 10-day light festival at Salford Quays and is running until 12th December.
