Having opened back in the late summer of 2020, the Citadines Islington London is the most recent addition to the Citadines Apart’hotel UK portfolio

The Location The apartments can be found in London’s exciting new Islington Square neighbourhood, which is a great alternative location if you’d prefer to be slightly away from the crowded hustle and bustle of the capital’s centre. The popular area of Camden can also be found nearby, just north of Central London.

The stunning serviced apartments are housed in an Edwardian building, which, steeped in history, was once in fact a Royal Mail sorting office, originally built in 1907 on the borough’s bustling Upper Street.

Upper Street, just a twominute walk from the hotel, is a great place to visit and is home to a range of bars, restaurants and shops, plus a gym, cinema and shopping complex. Visitors can explore the Union Chapel, which serves as a church by day and a concert hall by night, and the Business Design Centre, which provides access to one of London's most popular conference and exhibition venues. You can reach these must-see places in just an eight-minute walk from the Citadines Islington London.

The Apartments The Apart’hotel has four stylish and contemporary apartment types to choose from, each designed to appeal to modern independent travellers whilst still drawing on the colourful heritage of both the property and Islington itself. Each Citadines Islington London apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen, so guests can cook up a storm, complete with hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge, kettle, cooking utensils and crockery. There’s a separate bedroom with comfortable bed, a private bathroom (containing toiletries, a hairdryer and an assortment of bath linen) and a living area boasting a safe to keep valuables safe and a flatscreen TV with Chromecast. The units also include ample space for guests to relax and work, with a separate living area and working space with a desk and free, unlimited WiFi, making this the perfect place for either those travelling to the city for business or looking for leisure.

If you happen to be a yoga lover, each deluxe room category also comes equipped with a yoga mat, which can be used in the apartment or in the property’s Fitness Corner, where you’ll also find an array of gym equipment. The reception is manned 24 hours a day and boasts constant hot drinks – always a bonus, especially in the winter months. And if you fancy an early morning breakfast, a delicious continental breakfast is served daily from 7am to 10am during the week and from 7.30am to 11.30am at weekends. Furthermore, there’s a self-service laundry, airport transfer service and laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services (available upon request) too.
