Anthem for San Luis Potosí City (2008)
My Birthplace San Luis Potosí (S.L.P.) makes a public call for proposals in 2008 to compose the anthem of the City, I chose the most typical of the region, the Huasteca music, very cheerful folk music of the region full of dynamism where texts are improvised at the time which is being performed. The text of Francisco Artolozaga was imposed by the competition and I wrote it considering the classic elements of an anthem for Choir, Symphony Orchestra and Huastec folk trio. I didn't won the contest but for me it was an excelent occation to make a musical tribute to my hometown. ...
