K'isa for 4 flutes or 2 cromatic zamponias, flute and piccolo. K'isa or Garden IV has to be performed as 2nd. movement with Garden III as 1st. movement.
K'isa refers to Andean textiles whose unique color slats, together produce a resulting color which is the sum of them all. By analogy, the music is constructed on the basis of the independence of each instrument, which remains fixed record and moves in a single pentatonic mode. It is a minimalist work in which static element is the texture.
