Find us Offline and Online Report - This Weeks Meeting Numerous shortforms were discussed at this meeting, it was held at ‘The Kitchen’ on Great Moor Street, a vegan café with strong community links. The group was small on this occasion yet it thrived and basked by the smell of a heavenly ‘Tarka Dal’ on the stove. The name ‘Incidental Haiku’ is so as it was the haiku form that delighted and diverted our attentions from poetry of a lengthier nature to strengths of brevity, this week we spent some time celebrating the practice of ‘haibun’ where haiku and prose is written within the same piece - they seem to sit well together like good twins of the same mother Later a Landay, a shortform recently discovered by a group member, was written and read out, followed by some haiku, and what was considered to possibly be a senryu or not. It was most certainly a time of Inspiration Dairy Dates

A group outing to a country park on a Saturday has been given the provisional date of Saturday March 30th – times to be arranged. The next meeting is on Thursday 28th February at Costa Coffee, Lower Bridgeman Street, Bolton.
