Munirajji on Babaji‘s Return On the day after the last fire of Spring Navaratri Shri Munirajji gave the following interview for the Journal. Ganga was present and both Ganga and Munirajji took care that it was translated accurately into English: Question: ‗About Babaji‘s return, it is reported that you once said that He would look like the murti in the Chilianaula temple ? Answer: ‗He will not look like this murti. He looks different. Q: You said that He will come when you leave your body. Will it be before or after ? A: I cannot say. Whatever He wills. Q: Have you seen Him in body yet ? A:
Yes ! For this I say He is back in body !
Q: Is he in Indian form or Western ? A: Both Indian and Western form. Q: One body or more than one ? A: I saw one body, not four ! (He laughs) Q: Anything more you can say ? A: No.'

Babaji‘s Return – our Hopes, Fears and Dreams Mary (Haidakhan) Muniraji had announced that Babaji had returned at the end of aarati when many had left the kirtan hall. A lot of people would imagine that there was dancing and jubilation, but the few people remaining in the kirtan hall were stunned. We all left in almost total silence. My initial reaction was one of terror. But I returned to a monsoon devastated Haidakhan with a new determination to face the floods, fire and difficulties. Yes, yes, yes of course I want Babaji to return. Now, that‘s all there is to say. There are no further words. Nothing can express that feeling. Kharku (Thailand) The whole world is waiting for Babaji‘s return because the whole world is waiting for the divine. When Babaji left his body in 1984, Shri Shastriji said that while the world goes through this kranti it will be too painful for the divine to see it through human eyes. Last year Shri Muniraji said to me that everyone in the world feels something is about to happen. Whatever their belief system everybody is in fear and anxiety: whether it is war, the economy, environment or politics. So the all pervading feeling in the world is fear and anxiety. Whatever happens, whenever it happens, the collective sense of fear and anxiety will be lifted. When Babaji reappears the worst of the kranti will have passed and this feeling of fear will have been lifted. The return of Babaji means the return of love and hope. The divine can only love. Maybe the kranti will be over by next year. Letizia (Italy) This is a dream I had two months ago in January 2011: ‗It was very dark. From the dark He came in Sikh blue and He looked me in the eyes very strongly, I had the courage to meet His eyes – very strong – He was there. Then I saw him by my right side and He said: ―You didn‘t bring me the sandals‖ and I felt sorry for that. Then the scene changed and He was lying down, very relaxed with his arms behind his head. Gayatri was there very happily taking photos of him because she knew He had returned. When I came near to them I said to Him: ―Babaji, Fakiruli always told me that if you come back then you have to come back with the same body, to prove that death does not exist‖. He responded in Italian ―This is the game‖.
5
Gayatri Devi (USA) I also had a dream this January: ‗Babaji told Gaura, Letizia and I to leave quickly in an aircraft. We flew to this other place and there was a large concrete landing strip on which we were landing, but too fast. We saw through the window that we were not going to stop before the airstrip ran out and that there was a terrifying cliff at the end. We went over the cliff and were falling to our deaths and in the next second there is Baba standing in front of us smiling. The whole thing was that He saved us ! The next day after the dream I called Letizia and she said ―You were in my dream too....‖ Later, I called Gaura and told her the dream and she replied: ―That‘s great, we are all on this crash course‖! Babaji‘s return is long overdue. When I was with him in December 1983 he asked my age and I replied 27 and He said ―No – 29 !‖ So what was this 29 ? 29 years from then ? That would be December 2012 – same as the Mayan prophecy. My astrologer said in April this year that I would meet such a high master soon. So He has to be coming now. I was thinking that when He comes back that I‘m not going to bow down to Him – no more this higher/lower thing. So yesterday on Gufa side I liked the look of this sadhu and asked him his name: ―Bow Baba‖ he replied ! Ramachandra (Rob UK) I was once inspired to travel to Muktinath in Nepal to try to find Him. I felt and dreamed that He was residing in secret in the Nilgiri Mountains behind Annapurna. I was also told by my friend Peter that he could see Babaji‘s etheric form moving down the Kali Gandaki River (between the Nilgiris/Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains) and along the Himalayas travelling West toward Haidakhan. I spent three weeks hunting Him ! It was an amazing experience. That was in 1996. For the last few days during Navaratri in Haidakhan I have been calling Babaji to be in body. Yesterday, I didn‘t stop all day. I felt a lot of joy and fun doing this and kept looking in stranger‘s eyes particularly those of young men and boys around the havan. That evening I was still so full of it that when I pranamed to Munirajji he unexpectedly tapped me on my back. This was a direct confirmation to me to continue this calling on Babaji to be with us now. Now I keep asking: ‗Are you here ?‘ ―I am here ! I am here ! I am here ! Keep looking for me !‖

Gayatri Simons (UK) I pray for Babaji to come into a physical body, visible for all. I‘d love to receive darshan from Babaji. I pray he will come to Haccadown, the English ashram, not just Haidakhan. I fear that I may not be able to see him in his physical body, that there is no time, that I may not be allowed to see him or that I may not be called. I fear not knowing what to do, how to behave in front of him. I dream of him. Trishna Kläusli (Switzerland) When I saw the first picture of Babaji, I immediately knew that I had arrived home! I was so filled with love that I did not even think about where He lives or how I could find Him. But, sometime later I heard that Babaji had been in a body from 1970 to 1984 and that I had missed Him! I was very sad about it and I could not forgive myself or Babaji that I had not met Him. At the same time I felt His love and presence everywhere, in nature and in all things..... But nevertheless I wanted to see Him in form. One evening, after teaching yoga, I could hardly breathe. The following morning it was still as if the air was thinner. So I decided to stay home in bed and I listened to bhajans. When the ‗Om Haidakhandi‘ was playing, I suddenly was pulled through a kind of vortex and instantly I was in some mountains with HIM, WITH BABAJI and with a group of about 8 to 10 other people. I was His servant and we were preparing to sleep outside and we two shared a blanket. He lay down and told me to go to some people and tell them something. On the way back I sat down and looked at the stars. At that moment I realised that this life as Trishna in Switzerland is but a dream - and - I decided to go back into this Dream ! - Immediately I was back in my bed. Never again was I sad or missed Him, He had consoled me. He had shown me that He is always ‗here‘ and that if we really long to see Him, with all our heart and all our being, then He will give us His darshan. It is for this reason that I believe that the deep love and longing of humans can call, or maybe even ‗force‘, God to manifest. Janki Rani (Italy - extract from last edition) Babaji is the most important thing in our life, and because of this I am in good health. For me, He will not come. I hope I do not meet Him again !
7
Gargi (Gaby UK) Should Babaji re-manifest himself, I fear that the old devotees, including myself, might not recognise him and therefore feel alienated, and that there will be division between those who recognise him as Babaji and those who do not. For myself I actually don‘t have a huge desire to meet him again. It is almost an alien concept to me. Having met Babaji in 1983 was such an unspeakably wonderful and life changing experience, it was quite enough to last me a life time. Having finally learnt how to find God much more in the everyday here and now, I don‘t think I want to go back and project ‗him‘ into one single form. Hoping and ardently longing for his return would mean I haven‘t learnt a single thing ! Sarasvati (Rieferath) I have heard that He is already in body. For myself I try and live in the present moment. I‘m not so interested in physical forms. I seek him inside. Having said this it would be generally good if Babaji returned. It would be good for the planet. I seek him inside, because when he comes he will also go again. You know how I am much more interested in the film screen than the film itself. And yet, his physical return will be a huge and overwhelming experience. It will help many people to understand, and understanding has become very minimal. Most people operate on a mental level, but my experience is that the awakening of consciousness occurs directly through the immediacy of perception and feeling. Babaji said once to Gaura Devi, that when he returns he will come to the West. At another time Shastriji said with a lot of emotion and tears in his eyes: ―The sun always rises in the East – but now it will rise in the West.‖ Muniraji said that we all should call on Babaji to come and make an appearance. For this he gave Kharku a very simple mantra: Bhole Baba Himalaya se ao - (Simple Father come from the Himalayas) Bhole Baba ao - (Simple Father come) Bhole Baba Khao - (Simple Father be with me) Lal Baba (Haidakhan) Return ? He is here ! He is everywhere ! He is everything !

Lok Nath (USA) Babaji‘s physical presence was beyond beautiful. He glowed like gold, laughed like a brook, and contained the cosmos. I was in such shock at His leaving that I did not cry for a year - a year to the day, 14 February. After 27 years I still miss Him. A part of me is ready to drop everything again to be with Him. But, I struggle with the reality of it. The idea of writing about this came along at the same time that Jesus‘ return was predicted, for the n‘teenth time; by yet another Christian sect. I have a hard time pulling the ―return‖ predictions apart. They sound the same to me. Why do we seek the past instead of embracing the present and reaching for the future? I love the idea of Baba‘s return in the same way that I love to hear myself sing in a choir of real singers - I sound great. When I sing alone though I don‘t sound so great and know that I have lot of work to do. W.B. Yeats once wrote a great prayer. ―God guard me from those thoughts - Men think in the mind alone - He that sings a lasting song Thinks in the marrow-bone.‖ So, what I think I know in my ―marrow bone‖ is that Baba‘s spiritual presence is a blessing beyond his physical presence. His spiritual presence is an ever changing constant. His body was and could be a barrier to the urgency of me doing my own life work which, in Yeats‘ words, is to ―sing a lasting song.‖ We all have a lasting song in us, individually and as a community. The melody line is singing in harmony with Baba‘s Truth , Simplicity and Love. Creation and Baba yearn to hear our songs. At this Spring Navaratri in Herakhan, I heard fragments of our shared lasting song while we sang Aarti. It was beyond beautiful. Babaji was present, returned - beyond beautiful, enough to change the world - if we will stay with it. (Lok Nath went to India, meeting Babaji in New Delhi, in 1979. At the time of his first trip Monty Smith was practicing law in Seattle, USA. He left that life and remained with Babaji until the Samadhi in 1984. Over the years, Babaji gave him permission to shave his head, initiated him with a sacred thread, gave him the names Lok Pal, Lok Pal Singh, Swami Lok Pal, Lok Nath and lastly, as a Yogi, Lok Nath Baba, and in addition, extraordinary love, forgiveness and grace. Along the way Lok Nath went from trying to figure out who Babaji was to accepting that Baba is beyond time and space and beyond rational understanding.)

Meena Chandra (New Delhi) About Babaji‘s return: internally, I don‘t know, I have had no intimation that He has returned. But He got me here. But at present, I have not been given the indication yet that He is here physically. I‘d like to share my previous experience of Babaji - At convent school when I was 16, we had to say our prayers, but when I closed my eyes I would see Lord Shiva. Much later in1975, Mother Vimla Lal came into my life and she told me that she had been to Haidakhan - and that word struck a chord in my heart – I could not sleep that night. In 1976 Babaji came to Delhi, but it was 15 days beforehand that He had given me a very strong vision of Himself as Lord Shiva. In that vision I entered a hill and there were many people singing Om Namaha Shivaya. He taught me through visions; I have had no vision of his coming back at present. I keep asking. In my home we have a Babaji kurtir and a murti of old Haidakhan Baba. I converse with him through this murti. I used to converse with Babaji through letters, maybe twice a year. As I‘d been brought up in a Christian convent I didn‘t know how to do pujas, and so in visions He would teach me, such as: ―Now a little water‖....etc. I never visited Haidakhan when He was here in body. My first visit was in 1987 (in those days it was very difficult getting here). Now I feel so foolish that I never asked Him for anything. As I had never received chandan from Him, He once sent some for me in a parcel. Every time He came to Delhi I did go and see Him – one day with Him was enough. Munna (Chilianaula) Baba‘s Return? Really? From where? Had He gone away somewhere? Of course I know that He had disintegrated His body in early 1984. Everyone, but everyone, was devastated. And, now, more than twentyfive years after that ‗happening‘, He is planning on presenting, or has already presented, a new profile, a new guise ? I distinctly remember that when everyone was bemoaning Baba‘s disappearing act again, I was left musing about His actual departure. The physicality had certainly gone, but where could HE GO? For someone who was constantly at two or three locations simultaneously, doing several different things all at the same time, shedding one physical frame could hardly be of consequence. What would one find if one opened up the Samadhi vault housing His mortal remains? Khanna Mataji told my
11
mother soon after the event that she had been informed, in a vivid vision, that if that was done, one would find only an empty vault. I remained a backbencher for most of my time around Him (which was infrequent) and I could sit back and observe much of what went on – at times reacting to all His leelas. He always appeared to be putting across something that was not truly Him. So, now why couldn‘t He play-act the entire death bit? What did come through pretty lucidly was that here was someone who wasn‘t really going anywhere. He had decided to become a part of my conscious and sub-conscious existence and there was nowhere that I would have to go to find Him. He was here in my present ‗I‘, woven into it inextricably, like an Indian woman‘s flower lei woven into her long plait, constantly giving off the soft perfume of flower blossom. While my mother and aunt talked of all the times they had spent with Him and how terribly they missed Him, I found I had to remain pretty quiet as regards reminiscences: I had spent so little time with Him physically, and I had not even been blessed with any visionary capacities to feel His Presence through dreams, visions or insights. For me, He was the primordial Love in all of Nature‘s pluralities – love in love/hate; pleasure in pain/pleasure; joy in joy/grief; life in life/death; and discrimination in intellect. He was the reality to my own mirror image, the positivity to all the mirrored negativity. No, I am not ready to concede that He was also all the negatives. The Source is only positive, and He was that Source. Negativity could at best be only a lack of accessing positivity, not its absence. Whether or not He re-manifests among us, or elsewhere or not at all is not of any deep concern to me. This therefore leaves me not hoping, nor fearing, nor dreaming. Premchand (Francis Kundert UK) In the Indian tradition the living presence of a guru is considered essential, in a physical or apparent physical form, at least initially. One will predecease the other. They can fast track our evolution. They have the allseeing eye, all-around vision, untold shakti, and unlimited love. Only in the Tibetan tradition is there a bodhisattva ideal of one being reincarnating, to play the same role again. Karuna. Of course the Dalai Lama is a famed example but there are many others. Should Babaji reappear in the physical dimension, then that will be a great blessing, full of lilas and adventures of the true spontaneous.

Raghuvir (Holland). Well the first response is: ‗but he never left‘. Looking deeper into my heart I cannot deny missing Him very much particularly the first years after His samadhi. In time many feelings did find a place and I discovered His presence inside in a profounder way then when I was spending time with Him. I also play with the thought sometimes of getting the news that He would be sitting on His assan again at Herakhan and me racing to get there and bursting out in tears of happiness at His holy lotus feet. Re -personal fears: I never had much but when I play with the thought of Him coming back I wonder why would He come ? In His last manifestation His real work was very different from what it appeared to be. He spoke very little but mentioned stopping the hunger in India, unleashing the powers which will give shape to the Kranti and tasks like that. This kind of work is inconceivable to our human mind. Being the LORD who He is He certainly did not come to entertain a few confused devotees who cannot even do proper Puja or Service to Him or His mission. If we believe who He is, as in what we sing in the aarti or read in the books about Him, how fortunate we are to know Him, receive His love and be under His protection. What have we, His family done for Him or how do we show our appreciation for His divine attention ? We are mainly occupied with our own lives and cry out for His blessings when things are not going so well. As a family we are hardly able to work together to make His Ashrams and Centres bloom around the world. The hospitals we have made in His name are open and functioning but could be so much more; serving so many more if we would truly work together. It is particularly by the Grace of Shri Muniraj that we are still a family at all and that the hospital is still open and running. Yes these are my fears: that we are a dysfunctional group and do not really deserve to be blessed by the Lord of Lords with His divine presence. We still do not take much responsibility for our actions whether in our personal life or in our devotions. As some of us still hang on Muniraj and ask him a million useless questions, we will probably do so also with Shri Babaji if He would grace us with His presence again. These are my fears: that we are still not at all able to overcome our need to express our silly egos, at any cost; that we are unable really to work together in His name; and that we are not ready for the new world which Babaji spoke about after the kranti........Why would He come back with such devotees ? Well fears are never a happy tune, these are mine !

Lakshmi (Chilianaula) Munirajji has built many new buildings. We have prepared the best we can and everything is as well done as possible. Babaji‘s new kurtir now has a new roof. Shri Munirajji‘s kurtir is very advanced. Italian Prem Dass and many other Italians have done a very good job. The last work to be done will be ready in May or June this year. Sometimes we have to wait three weeks for electricians. There is now a lovely apartment for Gangaji too. Every Monday we perform bhajans in Babaji‘s kurtir, and there is morning and evening puja every day there. People feel very strongly the presence of Babaji there. It is always important to realise Babaji in the heart, but, of course, if I have a chance to meet Him in body, that is my blessing. But many devotees stress the importance of the physical body and they have great hopes for themselves and the whole world. All of us want this. Ambika (Germany) Yes, He is here in body ! A while ago I said that I felt Babaji had come back. I feel Him here in this place (Haidakhan Spring 2011). He is very present in body. Actually I always have this belief that He never died. I saw Him three weeks ago in a dream with white stones, like those in the river bed. He told me to take all the white stones. I walked with Him, He was on my right side and I saw his silhouette on the river bed, and the way was full of white stones. Previously, a clairvoyant man told me that Babaji said I should take in all the white stones from all of my different lives. Maybe this is symbolic of the work I do in the world as a healer. I was told that I have done this work for many lives in the past and now for the first time, in this life, I can speak openly about this. Prema - Patricia Wiley (New Zealand–organised Sondra‘s group this year) I hope for Babaji to come in form. I fear that it will be too hard for the average man/woman. I dream that it will be easy and available. I believe that there will be no form in a general sense but only a form that is recognisable to the individual who is ready. It will only be as easy as the willingness to enter into divine partnership. It is always available but most people have conditions and there can be no conditions. About dreaming: The aboriginal people of Australia live a lot in what‘s called ‗dream time‘ and they dream it into existence. They are very
14
powerful in manifesting a soul who appears in their waking dream time and who can pass on messages to other villages. Patricia went on to recount an amazing story of a multi-religious memorial service that took place in Christchurch, New Zealand just after the devastating earthquake that struck a couple of months previously. One quarter or 200,000 buildings and houses were destroyed and many people lost their lives. It was out of this suffering that the leaders in New Zealand of all the world‘s religions, prayed and spoke out loud together as brothers and sisters, during the memorial service. (Another smaller, but devastating, earthquake struck Christchurch again in early June this year).
Nila Caddy (Germany) My hopes, fears and dreams: firstly, great deep joy and gratitude for all that through his grace has come into being. Secondly, deep faith, that now, as Babaji the power of Light has manifested, only the very best will happen to all who love God and who serve God. Also that soon the New World will manifest - pink golden rose red. Babaji said many times to us: ―Soon you will see the New World‖. Of course this means an enormous change for our present world. What a tremendous task Babaji has now ahead, to bring mankind up to the Light - the light of love, which is his being, which is his home. When he announced in October 2010 that Babaji had taken on his new form, Shri Muniraj said: ―Babaji is bringing revolution.‖ What a profound transformation has to happen – how much destruction will be necessary ? He gave us the Name of God, like OM Namah Shivay, as our safeguard. During Spring Navaratri in Herakhan, where I had brought a group of 12 people, Shri Munirajji said to us: ―You will have to live a simple life.‖ A simple life – what might that mean ? - To be grateful for every breath. - To remain in gratitude and the freedom it gives, even if more and more would be taken away from us on the outer level. - To breathe in God, Babaji, and to experience that the less there is on the outer, the more the power of love and light from within. How can we fear, when Babaji is there with us! We might have to go through an in-between-phase, when our faith and love are tested, until we experience the most wonderful New World, whose Dharma is: ―Be blissful !‖

About Sombari Baba
Shri Munindra Maharaj, who is also known as Old Haidakhan Baba, had a close relationship with Sombari Baba. I have always heard that the latter was a major disciple of Shri Munindra Maharaj. I also found in some writings that they are both manifestations of the immortal Babaji. When I asked Shri Muniraj about it he said: Yes that is what I have also heard (both versions). Then he said that he has a picture of Munindra Maharaj and Sombari Baba where Babaji is sitting up and Sombari Baba sitting down which usually indicates the Guru disciple relationship. In any case he was a great saint who roamed the Kumoun and he was often seen with Shri Munindra Maharaj. Here follows a little information and a wonderful teaching about the holy fire from him.
This Lingam is in the Kakrighat Ashram where Sombari Baba's samadhi is. This is about 1½ hours drive from Chilianaula towards Almora.
16
One afternoon Bhole (Swami Rama) expressed his astonishment to Sombari Baba, and asked him how it was that the fire didn't burn him. "How can fire burn itself ?" Sombari Baba replied. "Fire is me and I am fire. The whole universe is pervaded by fire, but is anything being destroyed by fire? Fire is that which sustains life. Only those who do not know the divine nature of fire are afraid of it‖. Bhole did not understand all the implications of Sombari Baba's explanation, but he understood that fire is divine energy and embodies intelligence, just as we do. He also knew, intellectually at least, that the whole universe is pervaded by fire in the form of heat and light, but he had a hard time grasping Sombari Baba's statement, "Fire is me and I am fire." Hoping to eventually understand what this meant, Bhole posed another question: "Why do the colours of the flame change from time to time?" "Flames are the tongues of fire. They are seven in number, and each tongue has its own colour. These tongues have their specific functions. Before you start the fire ritual, you invoke the fire with all its tongues. Only then do you begin your offerings to the fire. Depending on the intention behind the offerings and the characteristics of the objects being offered, specific tongues come forward to accept them. Although all the oblations I offer into the fire contain the same ingredients, at various time I offer them to nurture different forces of nature. That is why the flames change colour from time to time." "I thought that fire rituals help us strengthen our spiritual practice—that the ingredients for the offering symbolize our karmas, and that by putting the oblations into the fire we symbolically burn our karmas in the fire of knowledge. I never thought that through the fire offering we can nurture the forces of nature. I don't understand. They are more pervasive and powerful than we are. Are they dependent on us for nurturance?"
17
Sombari Baba replied, "Everything in this web of life is interconnected. Our health and happiness are not separate from the health and happiness of others. Our inner strength and spiritual wisdom affect the world outside us, and vice versa. For all practical purposes we are totally dependent on the forces of nature. These forces, such as water, air, and light, are constantly supplying the nourishment we need. If these forces are weak, we cannot be healthy. Similarly, there is a collective intelligence. If this collective pool of intelligence is undernourished, then our individual intelligence becomes confused and disoriented. The best way to help yourself is to keep nature healthy and strong, for you are an integral part of it. "You modern children have become slaves to your intellect. Instead of experiencing the truth directly, you look for a symbolic meaning in it. Fire is a living truth. It is a link between Earth and Heaven. It is divine and resides in everything and everyone. Seated in every single cell of our bodies, it witnesses our every act. Fire is the source of our thought, speech, and action. The same fire resides outside our bodies. It is fire that initiates and maintains the process of change in everything that exists in creation. You burn your psychologically trash in the fire of knowledge, but you can burn your tangible, physical trash only in a living, blazing fire-a fire that is not a symbol of something else but rather is a self-evident reality. Similarly, you provide nourishment to your soul by offering your love to God, who is beyond names and forms. But you provide nourishment to your body, mind, and senses by expressing your love through oblations offered into fire, the manifest form of God on Earth. "Gaining direct experience of the divine nature of fire that pervades the universe and maintains the law of change is God-realization. Gaining direct experience of that same fire in the form of the Kundalini shakti within us is self-
18
realization. Attending the fire within and rejoicing in the consummate bliss that spontaneously emerges from its brilliance is yoga Sadhana. Attending the fire outside and nursing nature's forces by offering oblations into its mouth is yajna (sacrifice). For your personal fulfilment, practice yoga, but for the pleasure of the higher self who is both within and without, practice yajna. That's what God has been doing eternally. In the form of Yogi Shiva he is always meditating on Mount Kailas, and in the form of Indra he is always performing yajna in the three worlds-Earth, heaven, and the space in between. If you wish to be with God, join him in the practice of both meditation and yajna."

Haidakhandi Samaj - News from India Sri Munirajji‘s message - 4th June 2011 Construction work of Retention Walls at Haidakhan & Chilianaula Ashrams You might know that due to torrential and unprecedented rains in the Kumaon Hills last year, a major portion of the retention wall at Haidakhan Ashram was washed away in the flooded river and there was a major landslide at Chilianaula Ashram. This resulted in heavy loss and damage to property at both Ashrams. We are engaged in rebuilding and reinforcing the retention walls at both of the Ashrams to ensure that such damage to property does not happen again even during future downpours. The cost of rebuilding the walls is about Rupees 90lacs (9million) or Euros 160,000.
This unavoidable expenditure is beyond our means and we would appeal to our devotees to liberally donate to the Samaj or Hospital as per Bank details given below: Haidakhan Samaj: Name of Bank: State Bank of India (main Branch), Haldwani. Cetra Navaratri Report - Haidakhan, April 2011 It was a wonderful Navaratri. The powerful Shakti of the Divine Mother was uplifting, purifying and nourishing. As the suffering in the world is expanding it is so comforting to know and feel that the Divine is always there to replenish and reinvigorate us on our life's path. Shri Muniraj was well and able to guide us through all the 9+1 havans even if the persistent smoke gave him serious trouble. The havans were very powerful. There were sincere hopes and wishes that Shri Babaji would return to His assan this Navaratri. His Samadhi was painted in beautiful colours. His presence was strongly felt but His long awaited new form did not appear this time. Let us prepare ourselves better for His return by cleaning our hearts and stabilising our minds with His teachings and directions for spiritual practise. In the last days we numbered over 450 people from all over the world. Many new faces were there but also old devotees from Bombay and Gujarat were there for the first time in many years, and they reported feeling strongly Babaji's presence. The final fire on day 9 was a particularly powerful event for everyone who attended. It was shocking to see what damage the river has done during the last monsoon. At present a bulldozer/JCB is digging trenches along the old wall to make a bigger and stronger protection. As we can see from the power of nature in Japan and in a small way in Herakhan too, we can only bow our head in reverence to such force. It is with huge gratitude to Shri Muniraj for continuing to organise these lovely navaratries and Babaji's ashrams and samajes for our benefit. His example of Seva is one for us all to follow !

Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Indian Samaj & attended by country representatives – Haidakhan 10th April 2011 There follows extracts of the discussions at this meeting: Re- the registration of the land at Chilianaula: Shri Munirajji shared that the entire land was not registered, as is so with much of the land around both dwelt on and not. There is nothing to worry about this situation as it is normal in the foothills. There is a Government proposal that for all forest lands lived on or worked on for over 20 years, the rights to that land will be legally recognised for those people. If the proposal goes through then maybe only a small amount of money will be charged by the Government for this service. It is hoped that there will be a resolution to this issue within weeks rather than months (Uday Chatterjee). The Haidakhan/Gautama Ganga Dam Project: The Government have decided not to build any more dams in this unstable area. If they later decided a dam was needed they would build a much smaller dam. Munirajji said that nothing will happen about the dam. Other Projects: New generators were sanctioned, as were two new ambulances and a new water tanker for Chilianaula. The Samaj was reminded to look at the problem of long term visas for ashram residents. 50,000 lenses were donated to the eye hospital. An Environmental Consultant was recommended to be hired to look at sustainable energy supplies, waste disposal and water collection and storage facilities at both Chilanaula and Haidakhan ashrams. It was recommended that the International Haidakhandi Journal should be distributed in printed format to anyone in the world who subscribed for it through a PayPal account. There follows a report from Mr Shukla (Chief Advisor on all ashrams and hospital affairs) – Hospitals: Performance Review April 2010 - March 2011 (updated)

Noted below are his observations (confirmed in his email of 16th March). 1) Panchkarma Packages: Yoga lessons along with Panchkarma Therapy are not compatible. This is the cause of elevated blood pressure reported by some patients. It was a wrong practice.
25
2) Separate packages for Yoga & Meditation should be introduced which can include a little light oil therapy. 3) Panchkarma Therapy was introduced with two therapists engaged in massaging simultaneously, as per standard Kerala Panchkarma practice. It was explained by Therapists that oil massage by a single therapist was resorted to when the number of patients increased and there was not adequate strength to deploy two therapists. To do: examine how soon they could return to standard practice of two therapists for single patient 4) Steam Chambers and steaming equipment needed to be upgraded and maintained at efficient levels at all times as there were complaints of insufficient steam. Design of Chamber to be changed to enable easy entry by patients. 5) Recipes of food served to patients should be purely as per recommendations in Ayurveda and cooked as per Ayurvedic cuisine. 6) An additional Ayurvedic Physician should be recruited to supervise Panchkarma Treatment. There was only one regular physician and one part time consultant attending OPD. (Selection process was on and another physician expected to join before 15th April.). 7) Intercom should be installed in clinic and Panchkarma to facilitate communication between staff at clinic and treatment centre. 8) Each patient`s treatment and daily schedule should be on the computer and accessible to Doctor on the monitor in the Treatment Centre for effective supervision. Infrastructure a) Retention Wall: A contract has been given for rebuilding the collapsed Retention Wall between Hospital and Relax Inn. It is expected to take 4 months to complete the work. b) Power: There are frequent breakdowns of power and existing Generators are unable to take full load. Needed additional 50 Kva generator is needed. c) Water: As summer is approaching water stream from nearby Naula (spring) is thinning and our water storage tank does not get filled more than one fourth its capacity. It will mean more dependence on water tanker to haul water. Our Water Tanker is in very bad condition and beyond repair. A replacement is necessary on urgent basis. (Editor: See notes from Executive Committee Meeting 10.4.11 – Purchase of generator and water tanker has been approved by the Samaj).

Holland - Sada Shiva Dham by Bhaskaranand and Raghuvir
As you will have heard by now, we are building a new temple for our beloved Shri Babaji. So far we have been planning and going through the bureaucracy. It seemed impossible that in this natural part of our small country we would be successful but if Babaji wants it everything is possible. And we have the answer : HE WANTS IT ! We have now performed a ground breaking Puja to request Mother Earth to carry the temple and invite her from day 1. In our passion to serve Him the Dutch devotees have started the first action in this divine karma yoga project with the preparation of the first of the many pillars for His temple.
We in Holland are but a small group of people and pray that He will inspire people from far and wide to dedicate their hands or whatever may be useful in the process of this realisation of the dream. Most of the construction will take place between the Navaratri's this year. We welcome you to spend some time with us during this period. Apart from builders and the manual work to bring the materials to the right place, there are also gardens to move and large kitchens to run. Raghuvir writes: At Sada Shiva Dham we are lucky that, since the beginning
of the ashram in 1992, we have been able to continue the daily aarti and weekly havans on a regular and stable basis. This is a great blessing because it keeps the basic energy at the ashram also stable and pure. The doors have been and are always will be open for people to enjoy the ashram and give a hand in improving it more. Since 10 years or more we have also had groups coming here for their own retreat programs such as for yoga, ayurveda, satsang or other programs. We are reducing the monthly costs as much as possible and trying to help the environment, so there is now a new geothermal heating system to replace our old gas fired heating. For more information you can refer to www.babaji.nl . If you would like to dedicate some time to this project it would be helpful if you could say when you could come. You can also contact sadashivadham@hetnet.nl for other forms of service, which you feel in your heart.

THAILAND by Karkhu and Jamuna As promised here are some more details about the wonderful inauguration on Makar Sankranti in Thailand: Sri Munirajji inaugurated Sri " Sada Shiva Maha Avatar Dham" at Kamalaya on 13th-14th January 2011. Sri Maha Avatar Babaji is showering us with Blessings. Sri Vinodh Shastri came from India with Munirajji to perform the puja. The temple was designed by Robert Powell. We are deeply grateful to all who participated in the creation of this small temple and who participated and blessed the life giving ceremony. Babaji has brought every possible blessing to our lives and this is a part of the ongoing unfoldment of the grace of kindness and of love. We are all deeply touched and full of gratitude. Cisternino, Italy
My name is Giorgia, I am the Secretary of Cisternino ashram and also of the Italian Herakhandi Samaj. I read with joy the International Haidakhandi Journal. I translated a few pages of it to put them on the website of Cisternino ashram, www.bholebaba.org. I'm also sending you an extract from some writing by Janki Rani about the ashram in Cisternino, Centro Bhole Baba: ―... In the ashram we have had a dhuni – the Dhyana Yogi Dhuni – where a sacred fire is always lit, a bridge between earth and sky that connects us with the cosmic energy. The fire is a powerful means of purification and transformation that helps us to be more and more aware of the duty given us by Babaji: let the Divine Light come on earth for everybody through love. So many people
29
come to the sacred fire from all over Italy and also from abroad to meditate, to receive Babaji‘s darshan, to find that inner peace so difficult to find in our confused world. And miracles happen in our hearts: this is our greatest joy, to give others what we have received, to be instruments of the divine energy. Because it is always He who does everything. We are happy to welcome people here who love a simple life connected to the rhythms of nature, those who want to open their hearts to the life of the spirit, those who want to make light and peace shine on earth. This is, humbly, our greatest wish: to get together in unity in the great change that is coming in the world, in the advent of a New Age of harmony and love. Janki Rani
France (by Vasanti, Paris)

We are more and more looking for a place and money for an ashram/centre. We have visited so many places. Munirajji once advised us to look in the neighbourhood of Paris, but the cost was always too much. So recently we‘ve been looking in the South of France. Turkantam‘s place is in the Auvergne, but this area is hard to get to and his home is not available as an ashram. At our AGM we talked a lot about our desires to found an ashram, and then Turkantam offered to put on a concert to raise funds for it. Until last year we offered aarati once a week in Paris. I have a seminar room there, where Babaji people come together as friends. As you know, Purnananda and Mukundi live in Aix-en-Provence in the South. We offer weekly aarti at their place and a few times a year we can have up to 30 visitors for a havan (when Pujari visits). There is also a couple (Nirmal and Kala) in Brittany making aarati once a week and every evening during JulyAugust. Mukandi is president of the French Samaj. We will try to form a legal association which is charitable but this is not an easy task in France. We only have 15 members of our Samaj, which is a non-profit association and if we buy a place with large donations these can be taxable at up to 60% ! In France it is very complicated to become a religious charity. (Mukandi writes this June 2011: ―We‘ve just had an answer from Munirajji and as a consequence we are looking more seriously at the idea of using the house of another devotee for this purpose as a first step‖).

INDIA Haidakhandi Shiv-Shakti Dham Ashram in Etawah, UP, India. It is less than five hours train ride from New Delhi and is about 120 km south east of Agra
You are invited to visit the Haidakhandi Shiv-Shakti Dham Ashram in Etawah, UP, India. It is less than five hours train ride from New Delhi and is about 120 km south east of Agra. There is a 3 foot murti of Shri Babaji, as well as 7 murties of deities (Ganesh, Kartikay, Parvati, Shivling, Nandi, Durga, Hanuman) surrounded by trees, plants, and flowers. The ashram is changing the life of visitors through its Yoga camps, fire ceremonies, monthly health clinics, and bhajans singing. You can feel the positive energy change that the ashram has brought to nearby villages. The story of the founding of this ashram is as follows: Shri Babaji appeared in the dream of Shashi Agarwal and inspired her to build an ashram in her village Damodarpur, Etawah, to transform the life of all the nearby villages. Her brother, Pramod Gupta, worked for eighteen months to finish the construction of the ashram. Shri Munirajji gave the name—Haidakhandi Shiv-Shakti Dham. Shastriji conducted the opening ceremony to inaugurate the ashram on 19th June 2006. Haidakhandi Universal Ashram at Crestone, and Ramloti have provided constant encouragement to help build this new addition to the Indian Samaj. Please go to www.haidakhandisamaj.org for more info. Germany – Berlin by Angela
The centre is in Spandau at Elizabeth‘s home. In her basement is a large temple/aarti room with a murti, where they perform daily puja and aarti once a week. Many attend her monthly fire ceremonies that she performs in the fireplace in the temple. In addition 15 to 20 people meet at my place in Kreuzberg, Berlin for monthly bhajan singing: 2 or 3 on harmoniums, Malti always plays, Moti on the dolag (drum), Kamala when she‘s in Berlin, Uma comes and Krishi too, but we have lost Vijaya to Switzerland ! I always suggest that people go to aarti at Elizabeth‘s. I have a small altar and the group that comes are Babaji people with one or two others joining as well. They come to sing, enjoy the energy and have satsang together.
Germany – München, Bayern by Hamsa (Hans Schilling)
We have a small centre in mine and my wife Shakti‘s house, where we perform aarti twice a week and havan once a week. About 5 people come, but twice a year we have between 20 and 40 when the padukhas visit from Rieferath mid-summer and mid-winter. There are many devotees in Bayern but it is a very big county. For instance Priya who comes every Sunday has an hour‘s drive each way. In the garden there is a small dhuni hut – Shakti dhuni – which can seat 9 persons, and a little Hanuman temple surrounded by bamboo. This is a quiet place despite a number of buildings nearby. There is a Christian church 50meters away and nearby a Muslim centre and a synagogue. Germany – Oberstaufen, Allgäu by Krishna Kumar The House is run as a Guesthouse and AyurvedaPanchkarma centre in a Hillstation in Bavarian South. We offer daily Havan and monthly Aarti to the divine. A beautiful dhuni has been inaugurated at Pentecost with a Yajna, and Haidakhandis attended from Austria, Switzerland and Germany. This place came into existence with the blessings of Shri Muniraj, and from an idea to combine two important aspects of the Ashrams in India: Spiritual Practice and Healthcare. You are welcome to visit. Please contact: karl@karlzauner.de

United Kingdom by Habiba www.ombabaji.org.uk
The meeting to review the future of the UK ashram at Haccadown, Devon took place on 9th April 2011. Everyone present expressed appreciation for the ashram and no one felt it should be sold. Here follows extracts from our meeting report of June 2011: New people continue to find their way to Haccadown. Gayatri Simons, our resident pujari and house manager, has been making connections with the Hindu community in Exeter, and she has spent some days at the Dutch ashram to train as a fire pujari. Munirajji‘s granddaughter (Pooja) and family visited us for Navaratri. Havans continue at Haccadown on full moon weekends, with silent fires on other Sundays. Babaji‘s UK ashram needs a replacement roof: we have begun a fundraising programme for the 10,000 tiles needed, and if you can help with the actual work, please contact the ashram via: pujari@ombabaji.org.uk We need someone with roofing experience – for the main house, and felting inside the dhuni. There are other ashram requirements, such as hanging bells and chains and small mats to sit on, for the temple and dhuni. Also ‗eco‘ paint for inside the dhuni/house, a workstation to cut logs: does anyone have one, or able to get hold of one? Roses: would anyone like to donate some rose stocks, and/or climbing roses? Maintenance workers and karma yogis always needed ! The date of the AGM has been set for 23 July. Please consider putting yourself forward to join as a member and/or the Committee. The posts of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer need to be filled. The UK Samaj also needs a new webmaster, who does not need to be a committee member. We anticipate that the monthly committee meetings will be held mostly on Skype, minimising the need to travel (as often Committee Members live at different ends of the country). We extend a hearty invitation to everyone from whatever country to visit us. We are located only 8 miles from Exeter airport which is served by many airlines and in particular: Flybe www.flybe.com (e.g. Amsterdam, Paris, Geneva, Hannover, Düsseldorf, Innsbruck, Verona and 5 destinations in Spain, etc.).

USA Children, Our Future and the Haidakhandi Universal Ashram When I think of Babaji‘s teachings of truth, simplicity and love, I often think of children. Our children carry such innocent LOVE, which they often give freely to all. They also tend to blurt out the TRUTH without any filters and they are often very content with a SIMPLE stick or rock and can play with it for hours. We are so grateful that so many families with children feel at home at the Ashram for they represent the future of this world. We have several programs for children at the Ashram. Each month they come up for our Bal Gokulam; this is two hours dedicated to the children: teaching them simple yoga, chanting, puja and stories about the gods. Twice yearly, at the end of Spring and Fall Navratri, we honour the children with small gifts, crowns, sweets and lunch. During the last week of July each year, we hold a family week with a special program for the children each morning. During this time they do karma yoga, chanting, arts and crafts, hiking, hatha yoga and other fun activities. Some kids have been coming for over ten years and are now serving as junior counselors. The last two summers a couple of the young adults who began coming to children‘s camp ten years ago came to serve at the Ashram for the summer. They fit in so quickly and were great karma yogis. Being a parent educator, I have also provided talks, classes and consultations to parents and families on respectful and cooperative parenting skills. The Ashram has been a refuge for some parents (particularly new ones) after a trying day in the home. They always seem to leave a lot happier, more hopeful, with some new parenting skills and maybe even a loaf of fresh pumpkin bread or some yummy fruit. Throughout the year our children come up with their parents for aarati and other ceremonies. They seem to particularly love the twice-monthly fire ceremonies. Many of the children have been attending and hearing the sacred mantras since they were in the womb of their mamas. For many, it is their first outing after their birth and it is no surprise that some of their
34
first words include swaha and fire mony (ceremony is a tough word for a young one !). From an early age they learn to sit respectfully at the fire and make the offerings of samagree. When we are explaining the protocol to new participants, I often ask the children to tell the new visitors about offering and they tell them verbatim about using the right hand without the ego finger, leaving anything that falls on the ground for the white ants and to repeat the word swaha as they offer. Early on in the history of the Ashram, I asked Shri Muniraji if it was alright for the children to offer at the fire. He responded that it was not only alright but that it was actually very good for them as they can work off their karma at such an early age. We often have classes of children that come to the Ashram for tours, chanting, karma yoga and fire ceremonies from schools both nearby and far away. The questions that the children ask are often profoundly deep and touching. One little girl wanted a statue of Lakshmi for her birthday and her mom and dad say that she loves to dress the murti, offer prasad and a pretend aarati lamp to her. The children all know how to do the aarati at the end of the fire ceremony and do it with so much care. We often receive comments from visitors about how impressed they are with the children‘s respect and knowledge of the ceremonies. We are so grateful for the children at the Ashram; they bring such freshness, joy, love and a divine look in their eyes. There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child. It is very true and we are so grateful at the Ashram to be part of that village for these beloved gifts of God. by Ramloti
Spain (Maria in Valencia)
We have had an ashram in the north, in the Basque country for 3 to 4 years now. 20 years ago Mavi founded an old ashram in Valencia but now that one has closed. It was Sondra Ray who brought to Spain the main connection to Babaji in 1989, via her LRT workshops. Purnima, who has been 17 times to Haidakhan, had a dhuni in her house however even this has gone: she recently sold her house. It has been she who has translated the Teachings of Babaji and other Babaji books into Spanish. Shri Munirajji supported her in this karma yoga.

Announcing a new book published by the American Samaj:
From Age to Age Stories of Haidakhan Babaji By Giridhari Lal Mishra (Shastriji's brother)
THE FIRST APPEARANCE IN THE WEST OF AN EXTRAORDINARY MEMOIR DEDICATED TO THE MAHAVATOR WHOSE LOVE WATCHES OVER AND GUIDES US THROUGHOUT ALL TIME
From Age to Age is the first translation, into any language, of a memoir that has been passed from hand to hand for generations. Written in Hindi by an attorney of northern India, initially published half a century ago, From Age to Age is Mishra‘s record – meticulous, matter-of-fact, brief and erudite – of the ravishing presence of the figure first introduced to the West in the now-classic Autobiography of a Yogi. There, He was Mahavatar Babaji, the Yogi-Christ of Modern India; here, we follow the author on journeys in and out of the village of Haidakhan as he tracks His appearances, disappearances and reappearances throughout much of India. At the heart of the book: 40 stories that call on a legend, the memories of local residents and Mishra‘s personal history with his teacher, the famous Mahendra Baba, to render, with jewel-like clarity, the life of an extraordinary avatar. Appended to this edition, an epilogue set in Haidakhan in the 1970s and 80s when Babaji reappeared. Published by: American Haidakhan Samaj, Crestone, Colorado ISBN 978-0-578-08546-3

An inspiring example for everyone". The birth of the New World and the cleansing of the old world have been shown to me by Babaji. This has been written down in books II and III: 'Keys of Creation - A Divine work'. (Title given by Shri Muniraj). These two books, which follow on from book I are still to be published in German and English.

Letters to the Journal
Shri Muniraj Maharaj ki Jai ! by Raghuvir
Muniraj was born in 1929 in Chiliyanoula area and he met Babaji in 1971.
He immediately knew he had found his Guru when he met Babaji. He had met several great masters and saints before, but here a deep Guru disciple relationship began immediately. Shri Muniraj was closely involved in all the building construction made through the years in Herakhan. He would send all the construction materials on horseback, and later by truck. Everybody who came to visit Babaji in Herakhan went either via Shri Muniraj's house or his shop, and each visitor was touched by his devotion to Babaji and by his organization for their trip to the Ashram. Similarly all the food for the ashram which was not grown locally came though his shop ‗Hind Traders‘ of Patel Chowk, Haldwani. This was a service to Babaji and to all of us, it continued from day one, right up to today. In 1978 Shri Muniraj, together with Sadhu Baba (Dr VVS Rao), made plans to build a big, beautiful temple for Babaji. With help and donations from many, the Anand Puri Ashram was inaugurated in Chiliyanoula in 1979. During important functions Babaji often put Muniraj on an assan and instructed people to make pranaam to him. He told several people that Muniraj was their guru. Muniraji looked visibly embarrassed on these occasions. In 1981 Babaji sent Shri Muniraj and Sadhu Baba around the world to conduct several havan's and aarti's and connect Babaji's centres.
38
When Babaji took Mahasamadhi in 1984 most people looked for guidance to Shri Muniraj as to how Shri Babaji's movement was to continue. Now 27 years later we can see that Herakhan and Anand Puri Ashrams have tripled in size, and that also many new beautiful ashrams and centres have flowered in many countries in Babaji's name. Many hundreds, if not thousands of people come from all over the world and take spiritual guidance from Shri Muniraj who leads them humbly onto the path to Shri Babaji's lotus feet.
Particularly in his personal practice he has always been a shining example to us all. Always performing his duties and never in any circumstances missing a day. This proves the deep and solid connection that he has with the Divine. Since 1984 a standard question from people to Muniraj has been: When Babaji would come back ? Until recently he would give a standard answer: "Where did He go , He is here" or "You can find Him in your heart". But a couple of years back Muniraj started to build a new kutir for Babaji in Chiliyanoula saying that we had better get prepared for Babaji to come back. Then finally after 27 years the news came late last year that Shri Babaji had re-manifested. Maybe in one or more years time will be that call, that email or the SMS will zip around the world that Shri Babaji is sitting on His assan in Herakhan again ! Whenever, however this will be, it is most important that we establish our bond with Babaji in our hearts that we can communicate with Him there. This will intensify and beautify being with Him in physical form. But when this news does come, most of us will be thinking: ‗when can I take the first plane to India‘? Particularly in these confusing times, where the known worlds of religion and government are insufficient in providing us with a tranquil base in our life, it is important to keep up our daily practise to establish the Divine in all aspects of our lives.
39
Shri Muniraj has to face many physical challenges in this life and as time goes on it has not become easier for him at 82 years old, but in his dedication to Babaji he is still surpassing us all. Look how he is determined in his present condition to go to Russia (most probably his last tour to foreign countries). This is new territory for him and as we have been able to witness the growing number of devotees from that part of the world and it is obviously an important mission for Babaji. Hopefully you can join him there on this mission so we can together in Babaji's name (re) plant the seed of Sanatan Dharma in that part of the world. We can receive this message from Shri Muniraj with enthusiasm, indifference, with reservations or ‗let's wait and see‘. This choice holds a great potential for our spiritual growth and relation to Babaji. We can stay within the "comfort" zone of our doubtful wavering mind or have faith. Babaji said: "EVERYTHING DEPENDS ON FAITH". With faith you will strengthen your inner relationship with Him now ! With this faith you will deepen your prayers and puja now, which will benefit your life instantly. It will spark your devotion and in turn deflate the pain we encounter in our daily lives. Whatever you choose Babaji will not love you less, His love is unconditional. You may keep your life as it is or seize this moment with this great news and make your life into a symphony to the Divine, a ballad of welcome, a path of roses for Shri Babaji to return on. Be inspired by this message of Shri Muniraj and stand with him in his effort to prepare our hearts & mind, our ashrams & centres in wonderful condition to receive Babaji.

Thoughts and reflections On giving up on daily rituals - Uday Chatterjee I‘ve been on the spiritual path for 30 years, and over that time there has been some evolution. A few years ago I felt rightly or wrongly that I did not have to follow this trick of daily rituals because I was on something called aja paja. This is like constantly doing a jappa in your mind while you‘re doing all the other things in your daily worldly life. Then I was in Haidakhan during Navaratra. There were two old Babaji devotees. I knew them but never have talked a lot with them. They came to me just two years ago and each one of them completely independent from each other had a message for me. Because I wasn‘t very closely acquainted to them they each put their message in a very humble way. They told me that I should follow a certain practice, by doing my puja each day at a fixed time. On reflection I could see right through it. I knew that Babaji had used them to deliver this message. Otherwise there could not have been a logical reason. Once I reflected on it, it made a deep impression on my mind. I realised I had deviated from the path and those people independently had reminded me to get back on. It made a great difference to my progress as it gave me a great deal of peace and tranquillity. I‘m saying this to emphasise that given our times, that if our heart is open, then Babaji sends very clear messages, holds our hand and walks with us on our path. Kabir says: ―When the heart becomes clean and pure like the water of the Ganges, then Hari, the Lord, runs after you, calling your name.‖

The Story of www.planetbabaji.com by Lal Baba On the 7th January 2010, Haidakhan went on-line ! For the last year and a half there has been a daily update to the homepage with fresh uploaded blog‘s from Haidakhan, Chilianaula or Haldwani. The idea was to send a daily picture to your desktop. The start of this project was unbelievable difficult: in the end I had to go to Germany to acquire the right software. The first major project was sending a new daily photo page during Navratri in Haidakhan. About 400 photos a day were arranged on the pages and then uploaded with a "speed" of around 10 kbps (in Germany we surf with up to 100,000 !). But it worked ! 52 nations clicked on this site and people from every continent enjoyed this "cyber-navratri". This service has now been running for two more Navaratris. Planetbabaji now has its own web-office in a newly built little house on the side of the hill overlooking the ashram. It is sited there for optimal signal. I have to work during the night when there is an electricity supply, the web is quiet and quicker and Europe is on-line. Filming movies to download to the site takes time and needs to be done in good light. During morning aarti is the best as the light is very soft. There are continuous leelas - many times the web-stick doesn‘t work, because shops don't put all money that you give them, onto the account; very often there is no electricity, even for 2 days or more; daily inspiration is needed to create good photos of the very best Babaji places. Soon solar panels will be installed to solve the electricity supply issues. For my personal situation I am planning that there will be a 5 Euro per month to access the site. This charge will include a 1 Euro donation for the eye camp. This is a shame but I cannot continue to provide this service without finances. This job takes so much time. Finally, in Chilianaula a life-stream is planned. This is not possible in Haidakhan as there is no broadband facility. With the Grace of The Lord my plan is to provide a life-havan on the last day of Navaratri 2011. This will give you the chance to see life, what‘s happening there. SWAHA ! Editor:
