AUGUST BOARD This board meeting we are trying something new. Before the board meeting a booklet will be sent out containing all materials used for the meeting so that those who do not attend the meeting still can see some of the information that was discussed. It will also be used as a reference throughout the meeting; however, it will not be printed. Hunger Action Month Who: Hunger Action Month is organized by Feeding America, a charity organization When: September is Hunger Action Month How: Change your profile picture to an orange hue Volunteer at your local food bank Take the snap challenge: Eat your meals on only $4.50 per day, the amount provided to the daily average person provided with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly known as Food Stamps). By budgeting $4.50 per day one can understand the challenges faced by those struggling to put food on the table. Like Feeding America on Facebook Get involved and take initiative!
