For Celebrity Cruises and parent company, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, the safety of our guests and crew has always been our highest priority. Our marine safety record over our corporation’s 42-year operating history – and Celebrity Cruises’ 20year history – illustrates our commitment to the safety of the millions of guests and crew who sail with us each year. The measures we take in the interest of safety are many, with our ships often exceeding what is required by regulatory authorities. It’s all part of our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in every aspect of our business. At the beginning of every cruise, shipboard crew members guide every one of our guests through a mandatory drill known as the “muster” drill (see FAQs below for more information), to ensure they are familiar with what to do and where to go in the unlikely event of an emergency. To further ensure they are aware of their specific muster location, we identify it on each guest’s card key. The location also is prominently noted on the back of every stateroom door. In addition to the muster drill for our guests, our officers and crew conduct weekly, monthly and annual drills on every ship, and complete extensive training, certification and scenarios in preparation for the very unlikely event of an emergency, including training on ship evacuation procedures. All of our ships have sufficient lifesaving craft to accommodate every guest and crew member onboard, as well as additional capacity in reserve.
All of our ships are designed and operated in compliance with the strict requirements of the International Maritime Organisation, the UN agency that sets global standards for the safety and operation of cruise ships, codified in the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Convention. Safety-related regulations are rigorous – and we often go above and beyond what is required; for example, carrying backup mechanical, navigational and safety provisions. In addition, our vessels – regardless of where they’re sailing in the world – comply with the U.S. Cruise Vessel Security and Safety Act (CVSSA) requirements, including railing heights, access control, closed circuit TV, medical preparedness, crime allegation reporting and crew training. Our own requirements generally exceed those specified within the CVSSA. We work closely with regulatory authorities to improve safety laws, and regularly participate in discussions and studies to inform legislators of current practices and offer our perspective on regulations and standards to assure safety. Flag State authorities and other maritime safety regulatory bodies, such as the U.S. Coast Guard, from each country our ships visit also regularly inspect our ships. Their examinations focus on life-saving equipment and safety and environmental protection items. In addition to these inspections, our own ongoing system of internal as well as external (independent) marine expert audits also help us to remain vigilant, safely operate our ships and maintain effective systems.

Your stateroom includes all the luxury features you expect from Celebrity Cruises, including bathrobes and a tote bag for your use, interactive TV and luxury toiletries. We have included everything you need for your comfort and convenience, like a hair dryer, private mini-bar, water and wine glasses, private safe and dual voltage power outlets. Every one of our stateroom benefits from the friendly, personalised service that we have become famous for. Your room will be serviced twice daily (makeup and turndown), and we also offer a daily ice service in stainless steel ice buckets. Room service is available 24 hours a day, so we are always on hand with refreshments whenever you need them. There is something truly special about a room with its own balcony – it is your personal sanctuary, where you can relax and linger over a morning coffee, enjoy a romantic dinner for two, or simply sit back and marvel at beautiful sunsets. Entertainment The Main Theatre is the place to sit back and be entertained – our talented Celebrity Cruises entertainment team will dazzle you with musical theatre tribute shows and song and dance spectaculars. Our exciting custom productions like “Pulse”, “Remix” and “Edge”, are mixed with classic tribute shows that rival the very best of Broadway, the West End and Vegas. You can even enjoy the unique fun of a traditional British panto, created by UK production company, Qdos Entertainment. We have teamed up with international producer Poet Theatricals to bring you the ultimate cruise entertainment. Our award-winning European-style circus shows are extraordinary spectacles of magic and mystery. They have to be seen to be believed, and are not to be missed.
There are plenty of exciting dance shows to watch in our theatre, but if you want to take to the floor yourself, why not put on your dancing shoes. You can dance the night away in one of our nightclubs, or you can take part in events like Everybody Dance, where you will be partnered with a professional dancer for a fun and interactive dance-off, just like on TV! When the sun sets, our ships come alive with a dazzling selection of bars, lounges, nightclubs and casinos. Relax with a cocktail, meet new friends, take to the dance floor or hit the casino tables. Keep an eye out for our interactive theme parties – you may even find dancers in exquisite costumes suddenly appear to entertain you.
You can enjoy music showcased in a host of venues on board our ships – from top DJs spinning the latest tunes to guitarists playing on your way to the theatre. Our live music programme features String Ensembles, Jazz Bands, Guitarists and A Cappella performances, and you can even relax on the soft grass outside the Lawn Club for a Concert on the Green.

There are also a number of classes and demonstrations that take place onboard daily. You can learn a new kind of dance, or go on a self-guided tour of the artwork on board the ship. Some of the ships feature an art studio where you can learn jewelry making, pottery and painting.
Activites As part of our wonderful Celebrity Cruises Play activities, join a friendly game of croquet or bocce or try your hand at golf putting and other lawn games. Bowling, tennis, boxing, darts, Xbox 360 Kinect and many more video games are on board for you to try. Improve your personal best score or compete against friends. Gather together a team of friends and enjoy cooling off in the pool with a thrilling game of volleyball. One of our most popular Celebrity Cruises® Play activities, it is a firm favourite among our ships’ officers. Do you know whether spiders have ears, in which country Mount Everest is located and the year of Elvis Presley’s death? No matter. The real tests are on board as part of our modern and interactive trivia contests, including Daily Trivia, exciting Game Shows and Trivia Tournaments. Practise skills on your own, play with old or new friends, or take part in a tournament with one of our Celebrity cruise Play sports activities. Choose from a range of sports including basketball, table tennis and golf putting. Dive in and make a splash with one of our wonderful organised pool games and events. Gather together friends, or make new ones and challenge the ship’s officers to a game of pool volleyball or another interactive pool game. Travelling with kids or teenagers? Keep them active and entertained with our complimentary child, teen and youth events. Our family friendly activities are divided into four groups by age and include a fantastic selection of crafts, toys, video games, karaoke, sports and more.
