Navratri happens twice in a year during seasonal change. Fasting is very popular among the Hindu society in the Navratri, there is also a scientific reason behind this fasting. This is the time when the weather changes and the body become vulnerable due to low immunity. This is why the food item such as meat, grains, salt etc. are prohibited, even also onion and salt can infuse negative energy and there are high changes of falling ill. So the real question is how to take care of our health and what to eat during the nine days of Navratri. Here are the guidelines for the same. DO NOT GO EMPTY STOMACH: Going empty stomach for long can harm the body to large extent. First, it creates acidity in person and make it difficult for a person to digest food when he consumes it. Staying empty stomach for too long time can also cause a tendency to vomit, and leads to nausea and headache. AVOID FRIED FOOD: So many peoples prefers to eat friend food which might teste like haven after a long day’s fast, but it does more harm than good. Food item such as aloo tikka, papad and sabudana are extremely popular among folks during this time, but they are very taxing for the stomach after the fast.
