tar Struct Clothing was first created in 2008 but didn’t officially release until Late Summer 2010. We are a Chicago based series of clothing that has been influenced by rock star style. It’s edgy, raw, and constructed together piece by piece. This meaning, patchwork and flare is added onto each individual garment for a one of a kind, personal artist to consumer connection through the art of rock n’ roll clothing.
T
hey have men and women’s attire of t-shirts, tank tops, underwear, and hoodies. We will venture on to more extremities such as dresses and bathing suits later on. ;) They are working with Window Licker Records as a sponsor for all affiliated bands such as Bruiser, Starter Kit, Without A Breath and much more!
Q:
I know you have a graphic design backround, have you always wanted to design clothes?
I knew I wanted to be surrounded in art since grade school drawing/art class. It just fit me perfectly like a puzzle piece! I’ve done plenty of graphic design related projects both inside my university and out. But I really wanted to design tee shirts. At first, I wanted to design for Volcom or Hurley. That’s how I got involved with working at PacSun (I thought it was a step closer, lol) Which I have been working there for over 2 years now and am a part time Assistant Manager. After years of experience in the graphic design field, I decided I wanted to design my own brand of clothing. That is where Star Struct Clothing came into play!
Q:
Where did the name Starstruct come from?
Well that’s easy! Rock Star passion and style are the basics of our brand. Being STRUCK by it is the specialty! Whether it be by our CONSTRUCTION of custom patchwork, rips and tares or other glamor, we put them together and created STRUCT. We put together each article of clothing personally with constructing patchwork, and other glamor to make it stand out!
Q:
Who or what has been your biggest influence for your collection?
To be completely honest, my biggest influence to go forth and create my own brand of clothing is from my family believing in me. Mainly my Mom, Sister & Two older brothers. Without them, I wouldn’t of had the inspiration to tar Struct has recently rocked the Vans Warped Tour this July in Tinley Park, IL follow through with my dream. with Window Licker Records and Riot Rock Collective as our official first release to the public. This resulted with Chicago’s very own, AM Taxi and Florida’s Mayday Parade, rocking out our very own STAR F*N STRUCT! wristbands on stage in front of thousands! You can find both bands rocking out on youtube and their twitters! Find your very own Star Struct threads at STARSTRUCTCLOTHING.com, and make sure to check them out on Facebook and Twitter!

I also owe a lot to Jeff Henry who is the Owner & Designer of Unlocal Clothing Co. He too, showed me and inspired me that I could create anything if I stuck to it. If I truly love it, nothing could or would stop me.
Q:
Are you thinking about creating accessories to go along with your clothes?
Have thought about it! There might be an addition to Star Struct within the jewelry area but that will be in the future. We’re thinking of Hats, Purses, bandanas, etc. We will see how it pans out .
Q:
What other creations do you have up your sleeve?
Other than the website being designed by yours truly, we also have a Music department forming within Window Licker Records. We will be providing Compilation CD’s to every order including all Window Licker bands and more! We also have a few exclusive collections being created for future releases such as a Pin Up collection and other ideas!
Q:
Where can we buy your clothes?
Online! StarStructClothing.com We are looking at some boutiques within the Chicago area to carry our brand such as XS Boutique. Also some bigger companies such as Hot Rags, Spencer’s, Eminent or even Buckle or PacSun.
