This book is created and designed for the course, Contemporary Issues in Fashion Merchandising. Cooper Hill wants to create a product line that explores the possibilities that will excite as well as educate the consumer and will have an overall positive influence on the environment. The book is our final outcome that is heavily influenced on thorough research. Our team hopes to meet all the project’s expectations and has respectfully dedicated this book to Professor Grace Canepa.

Be gentle when laundering hemp: use a gentle wash cycle or hand wash and use just a little gentle soap. One cup of white vinegar in the rinse water removes all traces of soap and leaves fabrics smelling fresh. Several drying methods are recommended for hemp - line drying, drying flat, machine drying, rolling in terry towels, or drying on the lawn! Line drying in the sun is best, yet impractical in many instances. Ironing is often optional when dried flat or tumbled at low heat. Ironing hemp is a great deal easier if you do it when the hemp is damp. And if hemp is removed from drying while still damp and ironed immediately, it is easier still.

eco friendly fabric is derived from food
production waste as it is made from the hulls of soy beans.Sometimes called the vegetable cashmere, soy is soft, easy to care for and absorbs dyes quickly, requiring less dye-stuffs. The overalluse of soy textiles are good for our planet, because it is made from fibres that are spun from the leftovers of the soy food industry.Because the plant itself is easily renewable and the fibre biodegrades more quickly than oil-based products like polyester, its use has minimal environmental impact. This fabric is so biodegradable that you could throw it on your compost pile when it wears out.
Feel of Fabric I Soy clothing is light and silky soft, with just a bit of stretch, to gently caress your body with its natural drape. It is called the vegetable cashmere because of its luxurious and soft texture, but you’ll likely agree it’s far better than cashmere because it’s so easy to care for.
