Investments in bengol region

INVESTMENT ISSUES IN BENGOL REGION1) Lack of Investments has left Foundries in Bengal behind: 1. Investment in Technology to reduce cost of production, not by using substandard raw materials and cutting salaries and expenses. Cost cutting is short term solution. 2. Investment in Quality. 3. Investment in Training Even bribing inspectors and forming cartels to accept substandard consignments can help us in short term goals... All such shortcuts finally kills our industry in long term. Above are important steps to be taken ASAP, otherwise customers will leave us finally. 2) Yes you are right. But other parts of country , there is some level of regular investment , but in Bengal Foundry is loosing charm, because lack of strategic investments. There was a time Bengalis were the Foundry experts all over the country, we are seeing a big down trend in that too. 3) The trend is changing and risk appetite and financial stability of east is much more. They are already adapting new technologies and moving ahead. They possess huge land banks and huge resource of basic domain knowledge which offsets their investment. For that matter every region has its method of working, I think it is not right to be so harshly judgemental and paint everyone with the same colour. 4) Very few of them ofcourse doing so... 5) The issue is more of politics, rather the leftist rule for decades. Otherwise, the foundry owners are quite progressive. Recently Yogyata Vikas Project (skill up gradation at shop floor ) was conducted on a mass scale at Howrah, still many more are in the queue. Target is to enlighten more than 2500 foundry workers and supervisors. Investments will follow soon. 6) Great Sir, I understand as myself was GM Foundry for BESCO for 2 years at Kolkata 7) It needs courage to sustain in Kolkata for 2 years. 8) YES I had great support from Management and the worker also... But finally I decided to come back to Bhilai... Finally as indicated by you, it was external factor.

9) ✅✅Investment in Quality and training is very poor in Howrah belt foundry except few org . I have seen the same in many foundry. 10) no respect and recognition to RnD job at easter sector of foundry owner. thatis why they still going with outdated technology 11) Dear Shree Mishrajimy - want to make just a short comment about East & Kolkata in particular. I have been 11 years of engineering education & job at beginning if my career in Kharagpur & Kolkata in time when first United Front govt with Ajay Mukherjee was CM & Juitibabu Home minister - CPI (m) Strong hold - was gheraoed also live - Almost 20 hours. Still my saviours were CPI M leaders only. My most preferred city today also is Kolkata. It is absolutely different culture - work wise, social ,& Foundry knowledge centre for me at least. Wont fill details of history here. Crows are black only & are every where. As Manish has rightly said each region has its own peculiarities.
