Local parents share what they’re looking forward to most when we no longer need to shelter in place.
Jenny Rose, Oceanside. The beach for sure! But since we are fairly new to the area, we are excited to get out and explore. Hiking, beach, zoo, gardens, parks and restaurants.
Alyssa Navapanich, Rancho Peñasquitos. Hiking Black Mountain and PQ Canyon, and camping at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park!
Tricia Bacerra, Chula Vista. The kids miss their teachers, cousins, friends -- even dining out at restaurants. The other day they made their own restaurant in the living room using stuffed animals, and made a parking lot for all their guests.
Cristal Carrillo, Imperial Beach. We can’t wait to spend time outdoors and feel free again, make more family memories, and celebrate my son’s 10th birthday. We had a party planned, but had to postpone it. We miss our family and friends!
