Heritage and contemporaty design
PaĂs textil is the melting pot, the mixture of knowledge, glances and dreams about and extraordinary pre-Columbian textile heritage survival, endurance and encouragement in contemporary Peru. We design, produce and market the highest quality craftmanship in Peru. We also work hard implementing social development projects in crafts and manufacturing, in rural and urban areas, as part of Corporate Social Responsibility Policy funded by solidary companies. We seek to rescue millenarian textile techniques, but also ensure that the keepers of this knowledge, the artisans, achieve good income for their valuable work.

The collections of this catalogue have been hand woven by Tejedores de Cajamarquilla: a group of migrant men and women living in the outskirts of Lima, in the vicinity of the Archeological complex of Cajamarquilla. We have trained the artisans of Cajamarquilla, not only in improving different textile techniques but also in handling materials such as cotton and alpaca, of the highest quality. Cajamarquilla Weavers is one of the groups of artisans we workwith
