KING LION’S ROAR I just received the sad news that our brother Lion, Bob Waters, passed away at about 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26 th. We will keep everyone informed, as we learn more about memorial arrangements. Please keep his wife, Carole Ann Waters, and family in your thoughts and prayers. We had a very pleasant evening at our Charter Night event at the Italian Inn on Wednesday, 19 June. It was great to see Frank and Billie Williams, Barbara Eastridge, and others there!! Next year we will celebrate our Merrifield Lions Club’s 55 th birthday. We need to design a new 55 th pin for this commemorative event. So, please give me your thoughts, as to what should be considered in a new, updated pin that reflects Merrifield – past, present and future. Well, I don’t have much more to say. I will see all of you at our next meeting on Wednesday evening, July 3rd. Thanks for all you do to serve the needs of our Merrifield community and Lionism worldwide!!
