Located at the intersection of South Haven Street and Toone Street. The site is 184,000 sf near Canton Waterfront Park in Baltimore. It is 7 stories includes 2 levels of parking and amenities. The development boosts 500 residential units on levels 3-6. 7,500 sf of leasing, residential lobby, service area, and a double height fitness amenity.

Residents are also within walking distance of Canton Square, premier restaurants and the Rails-to-Trails path.

Design showcases arched floor to ceiling openings at level 1 garage, cross bracing at stair towers. Three large courtyards at level 3 and Mezzanine units located at the 6 level that spans to the 7th level. Material palette includes varies color charcoal, burgundy, tan, red brick, metal panels, fiber cement.

Areas worked on: sections, elevations, stairs and unit layout development.

2 BEDROOM UNIT

KITCHEN SAMPLES: 500 units are located on the 3rd-7th levels. Each floor is comprised of studio, 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom + den, 2 bedroom and 1- 2 bedroom mezzanine units. Tasks responsible for include designing kitchen layouts and managing the overall unit matrix.

New Carrollton is the second building to be constructed of 4 proposed buildings. It is a 5 story, mixed use residential building, and located adjacent to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) headquarters. It will be in the center of a transit hub that includes access to the future purple line, Amtrak, and the Capital Beltway.

The building is broken into two buildings, building A houses two levels of parking and 3 additional floors of residential housing that overlooks a courtyard. Building B has 5 levels of residential housing and surrounds the pool at level 1. Residents will have access to a small coffee shop and clubroom at the first floor and a "birds nest" amenity space on the 5th floor.

PHASE 1: COMPLETED

New Carrollton is a 5 story residential building with 2 floors of parking and 5 floors of residential. The building is broken up into 2 portions, the west portion comprises of parking with a courtyard at level 3 and residential housing. The East portion is residential housing with amenity at the first floor and a "bird's nest" amenity space on the 5th floor. To comply with code, the building is categorized as 2 buildings, building 1 (garage) is classified as type I-A construction and building 2 (parking) is a III-B construction. Building 1 will be separated from building 2 with a horizontal 3-hour assembly meeting the provisions of IBC 510.2. Assigned task included code research on the building occupancy and creating plans to represent areas within the building.

The elevation skin includes a variation of fiber cement panels and 2 types of brick colors. Project responsibility included building the exterior building shell in Revit and research exterior building materials and wall assemblies. Coordinated with disciplines to locate roof drains, exhaust vents on the exterior and locate fire rated walls.

Images below are plans for a mock wall that showcases the variations of materials and transition of materials at balcony, brick, window, and fiber cement panels.

Window typology were unique in terms as quantity and types desired for elevations. This project had a total of 17 large window types that varied with each elevation. Coordination with structures and window vendor were key to bringing together the overall vision.

Along with building the exterior shell, it was critical in understanding wall types and assemblies. Areas of responsibility included drawing wall types, walls sections and details of unique conditions around the building, under the supervision of Project manager.

THE STANDARD AT BLOOMINGTON

The Standard at Bloomington is an off campus student housing that is located south of Indiana University. It will span over 7.2 acres and consist of 3 buildings and connected by 2 sky bridges. Students will enjoy amenity features such an indoor basketball court, fitness, yoga, golf lounge, game room and outdoor pool.

Buildings 1 and 3 surround 2 courtyards, while building 2 houses the main garage. All buildings include study lounges and private group study rooms.

The grouping of buildings gently slopes off E. 14th St. between N. Dunn St and N. Walnut St and borders a rail road track to the south. Building 2 encloses the main building garage that will serve all 3 buildings. While buildings 1 and 3 enclose 4 courtyards and will house the majority of the student residential units.

Areas of work include working along side of Senior Architectural Designer to locate, identify and layout units for all three buildings. Other tasks include designing kitchen layouts and managing the overall unit matrix for all three buildings.

BROAD + WASHINGTON

BUILDING 1-GARAGE: TYPE I-A CONSTRUCTION

BUIDING 2 - RESIDENTIAL: TYPE III-A CONSTRUCTION

CONSTRUCTION: 2022 - 2024

This 1,200 unit, 15 story multi use retail project is located located at south Broad Street and Washington Avenue in Philadelphia. The site is at the end of the "Avenue of the Arts," which will provide residents with a connection with the arts that Philadelphia is known for. The building is broken into four quadrants with a series of L-shape towers.

Giant Grocer will anchor the corner of Broad St. and Carpenter Street, while 59,215 sf of retail will be located at Washington Ave.

The Amenity deck comprises of 4 pool decs, 1 splash pad and dog run. Each residential tower has a view into the courtyards on the 3rd level.

Areas worked on: Worked closely with Senior Architectural Designer to create diagrams and preliminary floor plans for neighborhood presentations and the Civic Design Review committee (CDR).

The exterior skin comprises of a mixture of different metal panel colors such as black, burgundy, white and gray. The brick is a variations of black, green, white, brown, and tan color. The design team comprised of a team of 8, each tasked with portions of the building. Areas I was tasked with are the development of 1,200 units along side 1 other Arch. Designer, the modeling of the exterior skin and assisting on the production of the construction documents under the lead Project Architect.
