UNPARALLELED ARTISTIC COMMUNITY / LEGENDARY STUDIO ENVIRONMENT / ARTIST-DRIVEN EXPERIENCES SFAI’s Public Education program offers areas of study that span the breadth of contemporary art, including traditional techniques in drawing, painting, photography, film, printmaking, and sculpture, as well as radical experiences, off-kilter journeys, collaborative public projects, and educational experiments.

Join SFAI’s diverse community of artists and scholars. Our non-credit evening and weekend class offerings present flexibility for you to pursue your aspirations. No matter your experience level, there’s a unique class to expand your skills and interests.

Figure Drawing Daniel Samaniego Build or refine your figure drawing skills through an anatomical approach to life drawing. Hugh Livingston Explore sound and music as elements for creating personal and shared space in the environment, through off-site field trips and team projects.
