TOSCA GIACOMO PUCCINI Puccini’s sexually charged thriller, in which a great singer, a rebellious painter and a corrupt police chief engage in a deadly test of wills, is presented with dual stellar casts led by sopranos Angela Gheorghiu and Patricia Racette. THE CAPULETS AND THE MONTAGUES VINCENZO BELLINI’S ROMEO AND JULIET The tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet inspired Bellini’s bel canto masterpiece. Featuring costumes designed by French fashion icon Christian Lacroix, this breathtakingly beautiful production stars the brilliant Joyce DiDonato. THE TALES OF HOFFMANN JACQUES OFFENBACH Matthew Polenzani stars as Hoffmann, a sensitive poet who searches for love and repeatedly finds it lies just beyond his reach. RICHARD WAGNER Wagner’s wondrous merger of sensuality and spirituality is a mythical tale of power, passion and answered prayers starring the electrifying Brandon Jovanovich as Lohengrin and conducted by Maestro Nicola Luisotti.
