The purpose of this tailored proposal is to introduce you to this wonderful sponsorship opportunity that we believe truly aligns with your philanthropic mission This scholarship is designed to provide full tuition and fees for eligible high school graduates who enroll at San Jacinto College within one year of graduation The goal of this program is to increase access and affordability for students who may otherwise face financial barriers to pursuing higher education.

THE PROMISE @ SAN JAC SCHOLARSHIP
A gift of a college education is a gift that keeps on giving.
DESCRIPTION
The Promise @ San Jac program has been developed for students who live in the SJC taxing district at the time of high school graduation. These funds are intended to cover in-district tuition, books, and required supplies for a 3-year period for full-time attendance at SJC
ELIGIBILITY
Graduate from an in-district high school Most students will be graduating from one of these in-district high schools: Channelview ISD, Deer Park ISD, Galena Park ISD, LaPorte ISD, Pasadena ISD, and Sheldon ISD Portions of Clear Creek ISD in the San Jac taxing district will need to check their address on the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD) to confirm
Private school and homeschool high school senior students who live in the SJC taxing district at the time of graduation are eligible
Students must have been enrolled at their in-district high school or, for private and home school students, have lived in the district by October 1, 2022
Students must meet all Promise deadlines
Students must accept all gift aid for which they are eligible, including Pell and state grants San Jacinto College must be the designated higher education institution on the FAFSA or TASFA application. Promise funding is awarded last-dollar, after all other grant funding is applied
Dual Credit students who have graduated from high school but have not completed a degree at San Jac may use Promise funds to complete their Associate Degree
Dual credit students who have graduated from high school and who have completed studies at San Jac with a certificate may use the scholarship to pursue an associate degree
There are no initial GPA or income requirements to be eligible for the scholarship
