et-friendly hotels are nothing new, but how about a property that not only allows your other family members to join—without pesky weight limits—but actually caters your stay to their needs. “It doesn’t matter if you have a bunny, or a reptile, or a dog, or a cat, they are all welcome,” says Katie Elicker, a PR representative for Sawyer Hotel in Sacramento’s DOCO neighborhood. A list of nearby pet-friendly restaurants, parks, groomers, and more is available at check-in upon request. “It’s a very pet-friendly location,” Katie says of Sacramento. “There’s tons of pet friendly dining.” Within DOCO, which stands for Downtown Commons, all of the spaces with outdoor dining allow pets, including the Kimpton’s attached restaurant, Revival.
