Limitless Axes & Ales in Lincoln Center has long appealed to customers with its adrenaline pumping, axe throwing activity and a long list of brews, but it was time for the rest of the menu to meet the power and style of the space. To make it happen, Owner Michael Hill got to work revamping the food and drink menu at Limitless, adding more booze and more food options.

“My favorite drink is the Paul Bunyon, paired with Sriracha Black Pepper Pretzel Bites,” Michael says. The (cleverly named) Paul Bunyon is a mighty cocktail—hence its moniker—made with bourbon, cranberry juice, and an amaretto float; perfect for a lumberjack if you ask us! The slight tartness on the drink balances the spice in the pretzel bites, which are just one on a long list of new appetizers that debuted this month.

You’ll quickly notice the specialty cocktails play into the theme of the establishment, with The vodka-gin-rumtequila-Blue Curacao concoction served with a cherry drop and dubbed The Killshot while The Bollock Buster is named after the medieval throwing dagger and packs a punch with silver tequila, grapefruit vodka, gin, and grapefruit juice, topped with club soda and a swirl of Butterfly Pea.

For food, guests will have plenty to choose from including gourmet pizzas (think Mexican Street Corn Bacon Pizza and Garden Harvest Pesto Bruschetta Pizza), Mexican food, sandwiches, and plenty of appetizers like a Baked Blooming Onion, Cranberry Brie Pull Apart Bread, Roasted Nuts and Olives, Sriracha Street Fries, and more. One of the shareable options is a snack board filled with bar food staples like jalapeno poppers, potato skins, and French fries.

The Beef Crostini also deserves a sampling, made with caramelized onions and horseradish for a bold flavor that complements a cold beer any time of year.

It feels like we’ve already covered a lot of ground, but that’s not all! Don’t leave without diving into dessert. Limitless serves up S’mores Cookie Bars and Chocolate Lava Cake for those looking for a sweet finish or a way to cope after a devastating loss.
