Drawing For All Levels

In this beginner drawing class, learn to stop saying, “I am not creative,” and start seeing like an artist through drawing. Simple drawing skills can light the way to many other creative outlets, but here in this class, whether you are a true beginner or want to restart, there will be an atmosphere of no judgment and subjective learning.

Oil Painting, Let’s Begin!

Learn to use oils and find out what materials are safe and healthy for you and the environment while learning just as the masters did to capture light, prepare our palette, and paint freely. Pastel Portrait Workshop For All

Whether you are a seasoned artist or just beginning, this class is designed to teach you how to approach portraiture and further the student’s understanding of the use of pastels, light, and color and the mastery of capturing a person’s likeness. The Joy of Circular Knitting

Learn to knit on circular and double-pointed needles in this project-oriented course. Develop new skills while making a 100% wool yarn bowl project. Work at your own pace in a friendly atmosphere. All project supplies will be provided, just bring your knitting bag. Cover tips and tricks for knitting in the round and discuss felting as an option. No previous felting experience is needed.

The Silver River: Naturalist’s Edition *

This will be a slow-poking exploration, geared toward inquisitive paddlers more interested in learning wild lore than covering distance. Unlike our other paddle tour/ classes, this one will only cover a couple of miles in total, allowing time to drift, observe and learn about the river’s plants, animals, archaeology, history and other wild lore. If you want to see more of the river and learn a bit less of its wild lore, I recommend one of the other great courses offered here. Difficulty: Easy, out-and back paddle. Half the tour will be against a very light current.

Wild Lore of Ichetucknee River *

This 3.5-mile kayak/canoe exploration of the upper Ichetucknee River is characterized by beautiful limestone outcroppings, springs, excellent scenery and rich history, making it one of Fla.’s most famous rivers. For 14,000 yrs, these waters have quenched the thirst of Indians, Spanish missionaries and DeSoto’s conquistadors! Good for beginners. Basic lessons included.

Whether you are a seasoned artist or just beginning, this class is designed to teach you how to approach portraiture and further the student’s understanding of the use of pastels, light, and color and the mastery of capturing a likeness. See page 4 for details.

Golf For Beginners

In this beginner’s class, you’ll be taught basic golf fundamentals from putting through driving. Receive one hour of instruction and one hour of supervised practice or playing. The $30 greens fee paid at the 1st class to the golf course covers the use of golf balls and available clubs. See page 8 for details.
