College for Kids (CFK) is a program with engaging instructors where students can experience being on the college campus in a safe environment, learning in the same classrooms that are used by college students while having fun. College for Kids provides academic day camp activities for children ages 10-14 during the summer, where students can attend classes in arts, crafts, science, engineering, technology, robotics, sports & much more.

Make Unique Origami Cards
Create your own beautiful and unique cards using the ancient art of origami - the art of folding objects out of paper to create both two-dimensional and threedimensional subjects. Island Hopping The Cedar Keys *
Nature still rules in the Cedar Keys area of Florida’s Big Bend. Its a low, wet country where land merges gradually with the sea, shrinking and expanding with the ebb and flow of tides. Shore birds, dolphins, horseshoe crabs and a menagerie of plant and animal species make this a fascinating area to explore by kayak. Difficulty: Moderate paddle on open water. Three hours of paddling may be tiring to some.

This round-trip (up and back) paddle on the upper Santa Fe River will take us to the confluence of Olustee Creek. The high, sandy banks speak to a fascinating story about this area’s formation and geology but might not appeal to those who prefer wetland communities. Possible wildlife includes gators, upland and hardwood bird species, wood ducks, deer, beaver and otter. We could even see capybaras! Difficulty: This is a round trip paddle, meaning we’ll paddle upstream, against a very light current for the first half of the tour. Not suitable for those with limited physical abilities or endurance.

RAPE AGGRESSION DEFENSE PROGRAM (R.A.D.)
The Santa Fe College Police Department and Alachua County Sheriff’s Office proudly present the Rape Aggression Defense Program, known as R.A.D., and the Self-defense Awareness and Familiarization Exchange Program, known as S.A.F.E. These programs are self-defense courses specifically and only for women. The RAD program was founded by a former campus police officer. The program’s instructional objective is “to develop and enhance the options of self-defense, so they become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked.”
How do I register for RAD or SAFE?
For RAD classes, contact Santa Fe College Police Department Officer Sarah Howard at 352-395-5519 or sarah.howard@sfcollege.edu.
Please provide your name, email address, phone number and which class dates you would like to attend. SAFE classes are introductory 2-hour classes and can be scheduled directly with Santa Fe College Police Department Sergeant Mark Barley by calling 352-395-5519.

College opens the door to new opportunities. The Santa Fe College Achieve program supports every student in our district who wants to go to college. SF Achieve provides students with access to mentorship opportunities that prepare them for college and scholarships that help cover tuition and books. Our community will, in turn, have a strong workforce built upon the legacy of our local families.
Mentorships
Every local public high school has an SF Achieve Specialist offering college coaching to students and their families. That support will continue when students enroll at SF.
Scholarships
All SF Achieve Scholars get free college textbooks. Eligible SF Achieve Scholars will receive the SF Achieve scholarship, which kicks in where financial aid leaves off, covering tuition for up to 60 credits.
Partnerships
A generous gift from the MacKenzie Scott Foundation helped launch SF Achieve, but the future of the program is in our hands. Now is the time for families, educators, community members and future employers to get involved! Learn

3. Office - Hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Pay with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. We do not accept cash.
As Santa Fe College welcomes more students to on-site learning, Community Education will offer more in-person classes while still offering virtual options.
Our programs need a minimum number enrolled before a class can run — so don’t wait to sign up!

REFUNDS
You may drop a class and receive a full refund if the request is made 48 business hours before the class occurs or the posted refund deadline (see each course info for details). Please call 352-395-5193 or email comm-ed@sfcollege.edu to request the refund. After that time, you’ll need to petition for refund.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Community Education reserves the right to cancel classes based on low enrollment or other causes. The student will be notified in advance, and a full refund will be provided.

Impressionism: Drawing and Painting
This is a 4-part workshop geared to teach you how to paint with the use of light and colors. Throw away your pencils for this exploration of what it is like to see and create from this wonderful era of art! Bring any kind of paint, (watercolors/oils/acrylics and a few soft pastels), and sketch pads: anything larger than 18 inches for multimedia work. See page 4 for details.

Thai cuisine is full of aromatic ingredients, cooking styles, and dish decorations. In this interactive online class, we’ll make 3 popular and delicious Thai dishes from scratch, including Thai chicken salad (Larb Gai), Thai red curry with chicken, and Thai iced tea! See page 5 for details.

Tennis For Beginners Workshop
Learn tennis fundamentals to build a solid foundation for success. The focus will be on how to hold the racquet, the game’s rules, serve, and drills. This one-day workshop is an excellent way for beginners to get into the game without a significant investment. See page 10 for details.
