Santa Fe College’s Information Technology Education (ITE) program offers students four Associate in Science (A.S.) degree options in: • Computer Information Technology • IT Security • Network Systems Technology • Programming and Analysis Graduates of the two-year associate level program will have the skillset needed to enter the workforce and meet the growing demand in IT careers. While earning their A.S. degree, students can also work toward earning industryrecognized certifications to expand career opportunities. After completing one of the A.S. programs, students can continue toward earning their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Information Systems Technology.
CERTIFICATES AND DEGREES DEFINED CERTIFICATE Certificate programs offer postsecondary adult vocational courses to prepare you for entry directly into employment. Certificates do not require 60 credit hours of college course work. However, students must meet specific basic skills requirements in English, math and writing. A certificate typically takes six months to two years to complete.
ASSOCIATE IN SCIENCE DEGREE The Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program is designed to prepare you for a career, but in some cases it may transfer to a bachelor’s program. A.S. programs provide a good balance of general education coursework and hands-on training with the end goal to enter the workforce. The A.S. degree typically takes two years to complete and leads to the bachelor’s degree.
