ALL LOCATIONS Santa Fe College (SF) was established by the state government in 1965 to offer wide access to quality higher education. Since then, the college has established programs and services that fulfill its mission of educational opportunity, responsiveness to the community, economic development and innovation in the public interest.

The philosophy of the college has been, and continues to be, student-centered.

ANDREWS CENTER sfcollege/andrews

The Guy Andrews Center was established in 1985, after renovation of the historic Bradford County Courthouse. With increased enrollment, the center now occupies three locations in downtown Starke including the Cultural Building, which also houses the Eugene L. Matthews Bradford County Historical Museum, and the Lillian Stump Educational Building.

Take advantage of small class sizes and a robust schedule featuring daytime and evening hours to earn your A.A. degree or complete prerequisites for an A.S. degree. The Andrews Center has a full-time advisor and academic support specialist to help you with registration, the FASFA application, and other needs. Proctoring services are available for students who need to take the PERT exam or an exam for their online course.

The Andrews Center has a strong High School Dual Enrollment program and is home to Upward Bound, a program that offers college preparation programming for Bradford High School students who potentially will be the first generation in their family to attend college.

The summer College for Kids program offers local students the opportunity to participate in programs designed to prepare them for future college success.

BLOUNT CENTER sfcollege.edu/blount

The Charles L. Blount Center, in the heart of downtown Gainesville, serves as an outreach and educational facility. This urban hub is ideally located by the University of Florida, UF Innovate, CareerSource and East Gainesville. Blount’s Center for Innovation and Economic Development (CIED) provides services for start-up companies that drive the innovation economy in Gainesville.

Here you can take classes toward an A.A. degree, continue your education in community or continuing education classes, or complete your GED. The Learning Commons provides space for students to work on assignments, meet with writing and math tutors or schedule a proctored exam for an online class. Located off the 6th Street Rail Trail, and only steps away from cafes, restaurants and UF, the Blount Center makes it easy to bike to class in the art-filled historical heart of the city.

Santa Fe College is currently in the process of expanding the downtown center into a full-fledged campus. With a projected completion date scheduled for the spring of 2022, the new 86,311 square foot Blount Hall will become SF’s comprehensive center for business and IT education programs, as well as the college’s hub for entrepreneurial opportunities.

Located in the city of Archer in southwest Alachua County, minutes outside of Gainesville, the Ron and Norita Davis Center offers a welcoming environment where students can pursue educational and career goals while receiving personalized student support.

The center has over 40 classes to choose from, including day and evening classes, a High School Dual Enrollment program, GED exam preparation and Community Education courses. Students are able to earn an A.A. degree entirely through classes at the Davis Center, and they can also work toward A.S. degree programs.

The Davis Center features small class sizes, tutors, academic advisors, proctored exams and many additional resources. Visit the center and see what makes it unique.

KIRKPATRICK CENTER sfcollege.edu/kirkpatrick

Home to the most advanced simulation-based training facility in the state, the George G. Kirkpatrick Jr. Center is located on 160 acres in Northeast Gainesville, near the Gainesville Regional Airport, about 11 miles east of Santa Fe College’s Northwest Campus. Programs offered at the center accommodate the growing need for skilled personnel in emergency medical services, law enforcement and corrections professions in Florida and nationwide.

The Kirkpatrick Center is home to SF’s Institute of Public Safety (IPS), which offers degree programs in both Criminal Justice and Emergency Medical Services, as well as certificate programs for students who wish to attain licensure as a police officer, correctional officer, emergency medical technician, or paramedic. Most Criminal Justice degree program courses are offered at the Northwest Campus.

IPS also offers continuing education for sworn law enforcement and correctional officers.

Santa Fe College’s Northwest Campus is the largest of SF’s locations and is the home of several hands-on academic programs, as well as favorite community destinations.

Many of the programs that prepare students to enter the workforce are housed on the Northwest Campus.

The Charles R. Perry Construction Institute offers training in construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry. The Health Sciences programs prepare students to work with equipment utilized in hospitals and other medical settings.

Students in the dance, music, theatre and entertainment technology programs showcase their talents throughout the year at the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall. Students hoping to transfer after earning an A.A. degree can speak with advisors from the University of Florida at SF’s “Gator Den.” The Northwest Campus is home to the only planetarium in North Central Florida, and the 10-acre SF Teaching Zoo. An athletics complex supports five collegiate athletic teams: baseball, softball, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball.

PERRY CENTER FOR EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES sfcollege.edu/perry

The Charles R. and Nancy V. Perry Center for Emerging Technologies is located in Alachua, Florida, the heart of Florida’s high-tech corridor, about 13 miles from SF’s Northwest Campus. The Perry Center provides citizens of northern Alachua County an opportunity to receive a college education close to home.

The Perry Center focuses specifically on emerging technology degrees. The 30,000 square foot building opened in 2009 and has functioning laboratories and state-of-the-art technology classrooms. The Perry Center is intentionally located near Santa Fe High School, which offers a biotechnology program that articulates to the SF Biotechnology A.S. degree, and is across the street from Progress Corporate Park. Progress Park is a growing industrial complex anchored by the University of Florida’s Sid Martin Biotech facility.

The Alfred B. Sr. and Agnes W. Watson Center is situated on a 40-acre natural habitat of pine and oak trees known as Watson Woods. This area is often used by students and faculty as an energizing outdoor classroom. With two computer labs and a state-of-the-art science lab, the center also boasts a large High School Dual Enrollment program, allowing students to jump-start their college education while still in high school!

The Watson Center offers a mix of day and evening classes, offering its entire community access to educational opportunities. Students can earn an A.A. degree entirely at this location.

Located on State Road 21, and 30 minutes northeast of Gainesville, the Watson Center serves the citizens of southeast Bradford County, offering them an opportunity to receive a college education close to home.
