Senior Expo 2019 Serves 400+ The halls and rooms of the Person Senior Wing were bustling April 27th as Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks presented the 20th annual Senior Expo. Over 400 people attended the popular event, perusing 55 exhibits that showcased the resources, products and services available for Santa Rosa’s senior community. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with experts from the financial and medical fields, estate planning professionals,

housing and transportation representatives, and many more locally-based professionals dedicated to serving seniors. Plus, since the Golden Years are prime time for fun and health, the Expo also featured many opportunities for senior travel, recreation, fitness, and nutrition.

Thank You Sponsors and Prize Contributors We wish to extend our sincere thanks to all our sponsors of this year’s Expo:

Emergency Evacuation Grab & Go Lists

What is SoCoAlert and why is it important to me? SoCoAlert is a free emergency notification service that provides Sonoma County first responders the ability to notify residents and businesses by telephone, mobile phone, text message, email and social media regarding time-sensitive, geographically specific emergency notifications. Do not assume your information is in the system. Visit www.SoCoAlert.com to register. Or call (866) 939-0911 to speak to a communications specialist who will help you complete your registration.

Evacuations can happen without warning, at any time due to any number of events from wildfires to floods to earthquakes or something man-caused. It’s scary, but it can happen—and it does. We know that thinking about these things now isn’t fun or easy. But being prepared can make a big difference, especially when you only have fifteen minutes to grab your stuff and go. A comprehensive Emergency Grab & Go List is available at www.mwgjlaw.com/grab-and-gochecklists or stop by Person Senior Wing or Steele Lane Community Center for a copy. 3
