Instructor Spotlight Stretch and Bend with Carole Strode Join Carole Strode for a Stretch and Bend class at the Bennett Valley Senior Center. This class focuses on the basics – breathing, posture, balance, flexibility, stretch and, most importantly, your brain telling your body what to do. You are never too old to “rewire your brain and gain muscle memory.”

Around Town Aging Together Sonoma County Initiative The Sonoma County Human Services Department is launching an Aging Together Sonoma County Initiative. Aging Together connects all sectors of the community to improve the health and quality of life for people across the lifespan as we age together in Sonoma County. The initiative is a response to the growing number of older adults in Sonoma County, which presents new challenges and opportunities for seniors to be physically, psychologically and financially healthy, active and connected to others. Aging Together will offer leadership and planning to address and respond to the needs of older people. For the well-being of the entire community, the initiative will provide opportunities to connect generations and help prepare residents of all ages to plan for their own healthy aging.
