Her relationship with yoga began in the early eighties when she began teaching fitness classes and incorporated yoga for stretching and relaxation. She began practicing yoga regularly in 1998. Donna

Health & Fitness Corner Are You Sitting Too Much? There are many joys associated with retirement, including long restful days sitting in your favorite chair. But, before you sit, you should know, the latest research shows a link between too much sitting and chronic disease. But, how much sitting is too much? The result may surprise you; just four hours a day. Research conducted by Richard Rosenkranz, from Kansas State University, of more than 63,000 men found that individuals sitting for more than four hours per day were significantly more likely

to report having a chronic disease such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure. It appears this correlation is independent of other poor health choices. More research is yet to come, but the study is convincing. So, get on your feet and join us for an exercise class. We have a wide variety of classes for people of all fitness levels and abilities. Our instructors are skilled at helping students modify movements to accommodate any physical limitations. 4

Her relationship with yoga began in the early eighties when she began teaching fitness classes and incorporated yoga for stretching and relaxation. She began practicing yoga regularly in 1998. Donna

is trained in the Vinyasa Flow style and enjoys infusing ideas from a variety of workshops and instructors into her classes. With a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, Donna brings a professional awareness of body mechanics to her classes.
