Walkie Talkie Getting started Installing the batteries Each radio uses 3 AAA Alkaline batteries and beeps when the batteries are low. 1. Turn the radio off. 2. W ith the back of the radio facing you, lift the battery cover latch up and remove the cover. 3. Insert the 3 AAA Alkaline batteries with + and – polarity as shown inside the battery compartment. 4. R eposition the battery cover and press down to secure.

Talking and Listening PTT BUTTON

To communicate, all radios must be set to the same channel. 1. To talk, press and hold the PTT button. 2. When you are finished talking, release the PTT button. For maximum clarity, hold the radio two to three inches away from your mouth and speak directly into the microphone. Do not cover the microphone while talking.
