About us

A glitch is a short-lived fault in a system, a kind of failure or mistake commonly in video-games… for us, a glitch can show distortion as uniqueness or a different standard of beauty, our way out of the current world we live in. This, our first number called “Back to basics”, is a space for self-expression and self-care, appreciation for a sustainable living caring about the environment and about your mind. Through the use of three basic garments, we wanted to celebrate your body, your freedom, and show you it is possible to recycle old pieces or renew them with fun accessories to reach playfulness and authentic statement. We believe in fashion as a way to embrace creativity, joy and social development. Let´s change our present together!

AN I DEAL LIFE Finding new ways of being sustainable

Antonieta is a young engineer who has spent four years practicing a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. In this interview she wears a white button down shirt, a basic garment in everyone's wardrobe. When did you feel called to reach the ideal of a sustainable life? I studied petroleum engineering and many years worked in that sector, without worrying so much about the impact of what I did every day. Everything changed when I was out of work and started looking for living options, within them I found this new world of sustainability, which was responding to the problem of climate change. Do you consider that avoiding the use of plastics is very difficult? It is complicated here in Peru

because we still do not have enough education to avoid its use and look for other easy ways, but perhaps not so practical for some. We need to go back in time when people used to carry little cloth bags. We shall buy in bulk and not bagged and limit our processed products since the vast majority come packaged in plastic. We can find alternatives, but not for everything, we lack of more and cheaper options. What advice can you give to readers to improve their lifestyle and be eco-friendly? There are simple steps with which you can start: first and super important: always bring with you a reusable bottle of water, a cloth bag in case you decide to buy something and, at home, decrease the use of energy by disconnecting electrical appliances.

USE for love

Following the path of self-love Photography by Marko Stojkovic Styling by Sara Apaza When we think about the basics, we need to go back to the roots not only of our closets, but to our minds. What defines what is the meaning of success? Is it professional success what everybody dreams in life? Is it to have a good job? What is a good job? Do we love that job? Does it make us happy? Working for paying bills is not always priority, sometimes we just need a bit of love and caring for ourselves, like Sabrina did. This young professional rocks a basic little black dress while playing with her soulmate: her adopted dog named “Brisa.

Lima, our gray monster, lives inundated with toxic traffic. Every day queues of stagnant cars try to escape from the city's roads, however, there are few who have already decided to change to a more eco-friendly transport: the bicycle. Joyce Apaza presents one of the most important items in a closet: the black pants. She is a cyclist, young mom and crew member who tells us the most exciting thing about riding a bike..

Why are you so passionate about riding a bicycle? I love the freedom I feel when driving, the ease of moving in a huge city full of people and traffic. In addition, it is an excellent exercise that brings benefits to the body and the mind. Precisely, this last is what helps me to cope with my daily routine, since I am the mother of an 11year-old boy and cabin crew for an airline. Both tasks are extremely rewarding, but at the same time they can be stressful and cycling keeps me ready to face everything. What has the "Panther" taught you in these months? Ufff, I've learned a lot. Panther has not been my first bicycle. Some years ago I had an accident while riding down El Ejercito avenue, a public transport bus hit me and I was 3 months unable to work taking therapies to regain mobility in one of my arms. Despite this, I decided to keep driving. Every day I get more involved, I love cycling and if there is something I have learned it is resilience. To keep going no matter what.

Do you think our city would be better if the majority opted to ride a bike? Of course. There are too many cars and most drivers do not respect the rules or the cyclists or pedestrians. As our public transport isn’t efficient, many think that the solution is to buy a car, and so we have filled cars, smog and traffic, that is not sustainable. I hope that more and more we choose to ride a bike.
