CLEANING AND MAINTANANCE Maintenance arrangements All repairs and conservation is undertaken by CCT staff or contractors.

We appreciate your desire to help but the best way to do this is to inform us of any issues in the church. Please contact the CCT with any issues at the church, and also log it in the Common Room Diary via the Common Room website via the Member Host page (www.thecommonroom.so). Please include details of the issue, who you informed at the CCT and your name. Churchyard Maintenance The churchyard at St Lawrence is in the care of Norwich City Council, and maintained by them. Any projects around using the churchyard space, such as gardening project, should notify the council.

Hypodermic syringes and sharp objects Discarded Syringes and Sharp Objects (Sharps) can be extremely dangerous. The collection, removal and disposal of syringes and Sharps are the responsibility of the local Environmental Health Department.   

Do not touch these items The matter should be reported to the CCT and the local Environmental Health Department for arrangement to be made for the safe removal and disposal of these items. The collection and disposal of syringes and sharps is a specialist task covered by specialist legislation and should not be carried out by Member Host (MH). In the event of an accidental injury relating to needles or sharps   

Encourage the wound to bleed Wash the wound with soap and water (preferably running) Apply a waterproof dressing

Anyone receiving a needlestick injury should seek immediate medical attention from your G.P. or the local Accident and Emergency Department. The person should inform the medical staff that they have received a needlestick injury and give details. The MH must record the details on the accident /incident form and notify the Trust Contact of the incident, as well as send a copy of the recorded details.
