Stars in your eyes

The trek from the Observatory sector to the Franceville sector ranges from 15 to 21 kilometres, depending on the chosen route— and whether or not said route includes mountains to climb. If waldeinsamkeit is what you’re after, spend the night at Ruisseaude-la-Montagne refuge and enjoy the solitude of the forest.

See the stars like you’ve never seen them before at Mont-Mégantic’s ASTROLab, a facility devoted to all-things-celestial in the middle of the world’s first dark-sky reserve. And while it’s dazzling 365 days per year, the most out-of-this-world experience happens during Perseids, meteor showers that peak in late August.
