Calling all oenophiles! Don’t miss this gorgeous ride through the heart of Townships wine country. The route also makes its way through picturesque villages like Frelighsburg and Dunham, two spots you’ll definitely want to explore. You’ll also pedal along Chemin St-Armand, a notoriously beautiful road that’s renowned among avid cyclists, and, if you’re up for it, the infamous Joy Hill, on Chemin Richford just outside Frelighsburg.

BROME-MISSISQUOI This route departs from Bedford and takes you to some of the region’s most unique historical landmarks like Walbridge Barn, the only dodecagonal barn in Quebec and the province’s smallest covered bridge (!). Ready to push yourself? Take on the toughest climb in Quebec: It spans 5.3 kms with an average grade of 9.6% (and up to 15% in some spots!). At the top, you’ll find yourself at the Mont-Mégantic Observatory perched at 1,100 metres of altitude. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Exercise caution on the return down to the charming village of Piopolis: It’s a steep ride down.

With plenty of wildlife, two beaches, activities and, of course, the mountain itself, there are plenty of reasons to visit this park. Oh, and did we mention biking? Some 30 kms of trails weave through the park, including a 10.4 km leg of the Route Verte and La Cavalière, a new 10.6 km (one-way) trail. Also new? Five beginner-friendly mountain bike trails inaugurated in 2019. When you combine fatbike and mountain bike trails, you’ll find 25 kms of fun at the PNMO.
Tucked in a forest valley typical of the Appalachian Lowlands, this national park is part of the sprawling regional bike path network that spans over 250 kms. In the park itself you can ride a 19 km path that winds around Réservoir Choinière, then cool off at the beach.
This park sits on the shores of Grand Lac Saint-François, a choice launching spot for outdoor adventures of all kinds including, of course, biking. There are some 30 kms to explore within the park’s boundaries.
Not only is this park the world’s first Dark Sky Preserve but it has two mountains (Saint-Joseph and Mégantic), the Mont-Mégantic Observatory and ASTROLab. Activities abound, including 8 kms of gravel bike path (return). Note that Parc Régional du Marécage-des-Scot’s 8 km multi-purpose path is connected to the park.
