I’m very happy I did. I plan to continue in this career path, and now it will be easier for me because I can get my license right out of high school. That training saves me a lot of money,” Frisby said.

Turning the dial, Jaren Foster 12 adjusts aper ture on a TIG welding machine. “I’ve always wanted to do welding since I was a kid,” Foster said. “It’s a family thing, and I plan on working in this f ield.”

“As a kid, my dream was to be an aerospace engineer, and precision machining technology seemed like it would help me get there. I like when I finish an assignment and get to do my own project.”

“The best part of cosmetology is working on clients and building their confidence. The hard part is all the homework and classwork we have to do. We also have tests we have to take at the end of every week.”

January 21 was the automotive technology class’s field trip to the North American International Auto Show. The show, commonly called the Detroit Auto Show, is held annually in Detroit at the Cobo

Center. Among those to go was senior Kyle Humrich. “My favorite part was looking at the new cars,” Humrich said. “It’s sweet to see them for the first time. I knew about all the different engine sizes and vehicles because of the class.”

February 28 the precision machining technology program traveled to Technique Inc. in Jackson. “We could connect the things to what we learned, but the best part was seeing the laser cutter,” Junior Brendan Clark said.
