Out of the 45 percent of Americans who made a resolution in the year of 2015, only 8 percent were successful in their solutions. People who make resolutions are 10 times more likely to achieve their goals than those who do not. The top ten New Year’s resolutions are to lose weight, get organized, spend less and save more, enjoy life to the fullest, stay fit and healthy, learn something exciting, quit smoking, help others in their dreams, fall in love and to spend more time with family members.

The number of dollars extra every year it costs to eat the most healthy food per one person. On average a day’s worth of the most healthy diet patterns cost about $1.50 more per day than unhealthy meals. Over the course of a year, $1.50 a day more for eating a healthy diet would increase food costs for one person by about $550 per year. This extra cost could present a real burden for some families that are in poverty, or struggle with finances just eating unhealthy foods.

That’s the percent of people who plan to shop online for the holiday season. The estimated average amount that families will spend for the celebratory time is $935.58. In a different NRF poll conducted, over 25 percent of people say the presidential election will affect their consumer plans for the holidays. But, 43 percent say they are being careful with their spending due to the uncertainty of the election season. However, 87 percent of consumers could be convinced to spend an extra $25 this holiday season.
