Hello MakerThank you for your interest in participating in the Handmade in Vernon Center Maker Fair. This event is your opportunity to showcase your handmade goods‐ arts, crafts, baking & foods, photography, music, knitting, crochet, sewing, needlepoint, woodwork, pottery, health and beauty products…anything you hand make! Our aim is to host a fall sales event for a variety of handmade only items created by local makers in the Vernon Center area. The Maker Fair will be: Date‐ Saturday October 13, 2012 Time‐ 9:00am ‐ 2:00pm Location‐ Vernon Center Fire Hall Training Room Space & Set Up‐ There is limited space at the event. Please provide a description of all Maker goods you intend to sell on the Fair Registration Form. Organizers reserve the right to limit vendor participation in order to have a variety of goods at the Fair. Each registered Maker will be provided one 8’ x 2.5’ table and two chairs. You will need to provide your own table displays. Electrical outlets are limited. Please bring your own extension cord/power strip. Makers can set up their displays 6:30 ‐ 8:45am the day of the Fair. The sale will begin at 9:00am and all vendors are to stay until the end of the event at 2:00pm. Registration & Fee‐ All interested Makers must submit a Registration Form and pay a $10.00 fee via check made payable to Patricia Krosch or use PayPal online to pay with a credit card to email address contactjustcoco@gmail.com by Saturday September 29, 2012. Non‐refundable registration fees will support publicity for the event. In addition, all Makers must complete a ST‐19 Tax Form or submit a Tax Exemption Letter. Fully registered Makers will receive a registration confirmation, set up details and reminders, and Handmade in Vernon Center Maker Fair posters after the registration deadline by email or by mail. Table assignments will be given when you check into the Fair the day of the event.

Information for sellers and event operators Operators/organizers of craft, antique, coin, stamp or comic book shows; flea markets; convention exhibit areas; or similar events are required by Minnesota law to get written evidence that persons who do business at the show or event have a valid Minnesota tax ID number. If a seller is not required to have a Minnesota tax ID number, the seller must give the operator a written statement that items offered for sale are not subject to sales tax. All operators (including operators of community sponsored events and nonprofit organizations) must obtain written evidence from sellers.
