and Sacramento Kings. Some accomplishments in the Maloof’s 17 years of NBA ownership include:

Sports have always been a way of life for the Maloof family, as each of the five Maloof siblings participated in high school and collegiate athletics. Their love of sports drove them in to professional sports ownership, most notably with the NBA’s Houston Rockets

• Being the only ownership group in NBA history to take two different franchises to the Conference Finals (Rockets in 1981 and Kings in 2002)

• Leading the Kings and Rockets to 10 Playoff appearances.

• The victory of the 2005 WNBA Championship of the Maloofowned Sacramento Monarchs

39

Gavin

MalooF Co-Owner • The selling out 354 consecutive King’s games from 1999 to 2007, one of the longest streaks in NBA history. • The ranking of The Kings as first in the NBA in overall fan experience in 2001 and 2003 in a league-wide survey conducted by J.D. Powers and Associates. Even more impressive than the family’s competitive accomplishments has been the Maloof’s significant impact within the community. The Maloof’s hold high importance to impact the communities around them.

40

The Maloof’s outstanding business and philanthropic accomplishments continue to grow. With deep Las Vegas roots and a passion for all sports, especially hockey, the Maloof’s are fully committed to bringing and NHL team to Las Vegas. Not only will the Maloof’s lead the NHL team to victory and success, but they will also foster a community and fan experience that will be both powerful and unforgettable.

HOUSE Questions & Answers

Why is there a season ticket drive?

The success of the VegasWantsHockey ticket drive will demonstrate the long-term viability of an NHL速 franchise in Las Vegas, and prove that our community, without question, can support a team.

Can I select my seats with my deposit?

Seat selections will not be made when you place your season ticket deposit. However, you will be able to select your preferred section, term and price level. Those who have placed a deposit on a season ticket will be invited to make a seat selection: after completion of the arena, which will be located on Park Ave at Frank Sinatra Blvd. (between the New York New York Hotel and Casino and the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino)

I want to sit next to a friend at games. How can I make sure our seats are together? To ensure that your group is together, all parties should combine their intiial order and place the deposits for all seats under a single name and credit card. During seat seletion process, the seats can be separated into different accounts for billing purposes.

1995-Present Utah Grizzlies

In 1994, while Salt Lake was experiencing its first winter in several decades without hockey, the sport returned to Denver in an IHL expansion team known as the Denver Grizzlies. Those Grizzlies won fifty-seven regular season games en-route to a Turner Cup Championship in front of over 12-thousand a game at the McNichols Sports Arena. The Denver team would in the end, be the victim of their own success however, as shortly thereafter the NHL's Quebec Nordiques relocated to the Mile High City, thus leaving the Denver Grizzlies packing a moving van to Salt Lake. On June 14, 2005, the Grizzlies announced a move to the ECHL. Jason Christie was hired as the Head Coach after five winning seasons at the helm of the Peoria Rivermen. Moving to the ECHL brought back many regional rivalries such as Phoenix, Las Vegas and Long Beach that were ignited during the Grizzlies' IHL days. In 20072008, the Grizzlies renewed ties with the New York Islanders and returned to the conference finals for the first time since 1996 as the E-Center hosted hockey beyond the second round for the first time ever. In 2008-2009, in Kevin Colley's first season as the Grizzlies Head Coach, he led Utah back to the playoffs for the third time in four years even as the team experienced stretches of playing with 12-13 players due to injuries and call-ups for weeks at a time. Also during

the 2008-2009 campaign, four former Grizzlies in Andrew MacDonald and Trevor Smith from the 2007-2008 season made their NHL debuts with the Islanders while Joel Rechlicz and Peter Mannino, who played for Utah just this past season also made their NHL debuts. 15 former Grizzlies were on NHL rosters at the start of the 2010-2011 season. Utah advanced to the second round of the playoffs for the second-straight year capping off their best four-year stretch of the decade in 2010-2011 in the team's second season with the Calgary Flames. Aaron Dell was named Goaltender of the Month in January and Igor Bobkov in February and March, marking the first time in league history that a team has had the Goaltender of the Month in three-straight months. In 2014-2015, the Grizzlies finished one win off of the total from the year before with 37 and finished with their second best winning percentage since 1999-2000. Ducks prospect and Goaltender Igor Bobkov was voted the team MVP for the second-straight year. Utah defeated Idaho four games to two in the first round and lost to Ontario in the second round. Over the last 19 years, the Grizzlies have been at .500 or better 15 times and made the playoffs in 14 seasons. Over 200 Grizzlies have gone on to play in the NHL.
