Presented annually by the Saratoga Automobile Museum, a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit institution. The Auction continues to be a premiere collector car auction for the northeastern United States. Proceeds from the Auction support the Museum’s Distracted Driving Safety Initiative, a program that reaches more than 25,000 high school students across New York’s Capital Region annually. Offered is the rare Dual Ghia. Designed in the Italian studio of Carrozzeria Ghia, it made its first public appearance at the Turin Auto Show as a Chrysler Corporation dream car known as the Firearrow. The car, following the Turin show, was then shipped to the United States where its engineless design exercise was shown throughout the major auto shows throughout the country. Total production from 1955 through 1958 was 117 cars of which 13 were prototypes and the remaining 104 built during
the production process. Presented is a beautiful 1957 Dual Ghia in striking black exterior and contrasting red leather interior. The Black Haartz cloth top and Kelsey Hayes style wire wheels compliment the cars presentation. This particular Dual Ghia is number 151, being the 51st produced. According to noted Ghia historian, Paul Sable, it was of only 71 to still exist from the total 117 built. A truly rare and beautiful example of Italian American exotic car of its time.

There have been 5 owners since new according to Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo (FGA) and historian Mario Fazio. Purchased by the current owner from a well respected and known name in the Italian automotive industry, the current owner commissioned the highly
acclaimed Carrozzeria Viscardi in Varese VA, Italy to conduct a full restoration. Finished in its original RED 501 exterior, the interior was done its its correct original black vinyl and off white cloth seating. Upon completion, it proceeded to Techno Classica Essen, where it was placed on the Viscardi display stand where it won many awards. In addition to the cosmetic restoration, the engine and drivetrain were rebuilt to the highest standard.

1949 CADILLAC COUPE DEVILLE First year for production and first year for the overhead valve V-8 engine. Finished in Sable Black over a laser straight body. The interior is luxurious red leather. This vehicle is nothing short of amazing and has been in two prominent Cadillac collections over the years.

1949 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY Town and Country, a popular Chrysler model series. The Town and Country was introduced in 1941 as a 6 or 9 passenger station wagon. In 1946, it was presented as a line of 6 and 8 cylinder sedans and convertibles. The eight cylinder sedan was discontinued in the year of its introduction, the six lasted until mid 1948. In 1949, the car was restyled and introduced as an eight-cylinder convertible based on a New Yorker chassis. A hardtop was considered but never reached production. For the ‘49 model year, however, insets were Di-noc “mahogany” decals with ash trim. This car has been restored and the decals were removed. The 933 ‘49 Town and Country were the last American-made cars in which wood would be used as a body component.

1933 PACKARD 1004 SUPER EIGHT A recent garage find estate sale car. This highly desirable Packard came from the estate of author Richard Winer. Winer wrote the book and movie “The Devils Triangle” He was a car enthusiast and toured with the car 30 years ago in South Florida. The body is excellent, Celery green paint is still good and the deep green leather interior is very nice with a bit of a patina. The black cloth convertible top is also in excellent condition. The chrome has been cleaned up nicely and the car was just fully recommissioned back to being a dependable driver’s car on a fresh set of new black wall tires. One of only 788 Super Eights built that year. 1933 was the first year for this senior series Super Eight model on the same chassis as the Twelve but the smooth straight eight 348.8 ci., 145 h.p. engine. The car is fitted with highway cruising gear and drives wonderful.

The Mark VI four-door standard steel sports saloon was the first post-war luxury car from Bentley. Announced in May 1946, and produced from 1946 to 1952, it was the first car from Rolls-Royce with all-steel coachwork and the first complete car assembled and finished at their factory in Crewe, England. The Mark VI was introduced during a severe steel shortage that was crippling Europe, this translated into a shortage of new cars for sale in the UK market. These Bentley luxury cars, while expensive, became a genuine success. This Mark VI resided in California for most of its life, resulting in no rust, a reliable drive, and impeccable leather seating. 1940 OLDSMOBILE SERIES 90 This 1940 Oldsmobile Coupe is a full custom build done by Horsepower Motorworks. The car was found in a barn where it was a project car for the last 35 years. It retains its original sheet metal. It has been fully restored and customized. Full custom chassis - full custom interior and a lot of body modifications with the original sheet metal. It has a bored and stroked 350 V8 Chevy motor now a 383 CI with a 671 blower and dual Holley Carbs sitting on top. Interior has been finished in black leather and black suede accents. Custom built dash board and Autometer gauges. Completed in the early spring of 2020, it has been to a few car show locally and in the Northeast. It has won several awards including the Best Paint at the Cavalcade of Cars. The doors have been converted to suicide doors with shaved handles and electric remote door poppers. 1955 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER DELUXE - ST. REGIS From the first McDonald’s Museum comes a pristine 1955 Chrysler New Yorker. Upon owner Ray Kroc’s death, the McDonalds Corporation commissioned an exact replica of Store #1 in Des Plaines, Illinois to honor the fast food giant. In that same year, 1984, a full size representation was constructed as a museum to highlight McDonalds heritage. To enhance the display, four 1955 model year cars were purchased to create the feel and look of that era. Included were a 1955 Ford, a 1955 Chevy, a 1955 Oldsmobile and the 1955 Chrysler New Yorker consigned to the auction. The current owner has spent thousands of dollars to its 90% originality and the mileage appears correct as the interior, chrome, and paint reflect little to no wear or damage.

1946 DODGE 3/4 TON PICKUP This rare ¾ ton long bed came to the northeast as a solid mid-western project. While it was not subjected to the harsh weather of the northeast, the truck did see a life of general use. As a result, this W200 underwent a full cosmetic restoration by two knowledgeable Dodge restorers. A full album has been completed documenting the restoration, and will be included in the sale. The classic color scheme of the green cab over black fenders shows nicely, with rare lower body panels, free of any defects. This truck runs and drives very well, and shifts smoothly – as long as you’re familiar with double clutching. It starts easily, with no smoke and has good oil pressure. The engine compartment has been done to a very high standard with period decals. This is a true original survivor, purchased by the current owner from the original owner the last week of April 2013. The original owner purchased it from Ron Corbo Oldsmobile on Feb. 24 1984 after he retired from Bethlehem Steel his son told me he was about 57 then. He never drove it in the winter or in the rain and was garage kept always.
This 1973 Oldsmobile 98 is offered with a low original mileage survivor. Completely original vehicle with great exterior and interior and numbers matching engine equipped with 455 ci V8 and 250 HP with automatic transmission.
