The purpose of this workshop was to resolve at different scales: (Urban - Building - Room - man) the purpose of a lot located strategically as centrality in the town of Copacabana. The urban plan is generated from a historical and spatial study, which connects the lot with other important places in the town. The proposal of the building as such, has 17 housing blocks, divided into 4 types of blocks that have plenty of variety of shapes and so great the study of households surveyed in the area, on the other hand the project has a focus on environmental and studied tree species that can be implemented in the project, taking into account the contextual importance of being bordering the Rio Medellín river which acts as the linchpin of the city and its various neighboring municipalities. Material strategy goes hand in hand with the industrial theme that is highlighted in this place, representing a clear identity in the tectonic proposal.
history The lot is framed not only in the history of a town in Antioquia, if not also, in the most important transport system in this region for many years, the railroad of Antioquia. Even you can see the ferreras way to the front of Medellín River.
arborization Being the lot a 'flood zone "Medellín River, the plant wealth should remain in place and the project must encourage growth is not only in the bank, if not also bind the native vegetation to the project as such.

IMAGINARY Place overall intervention is justified from the connectivities pedestrian mobility, where everything can be optimal public space. in these two imaginary we have the view from the cemetery and the houses where that first floor becomes a small retail space, like a small neighborhood shops, bakeries, stationery, etc.
aviary Ecotourism attraction for copacabana is very important, so bird watching is essential to take into account in the proposed linear park. the aviary becomes a resting point for birds that travel from Santa Elena to the river across the creek Medellín “Piedras Blancas”

directors: Arq. Julian Carmona, Arq. Monica Pab贸n, and Arq. Victoria Sanchez THIRD PLANT FLOOR
The workshop aims to make an architectural intervention in a building already established that was speculated to be in a heritage building. The building is one of the academic block of the Pontifical Bolivarian University of Medellin. The scale of analysis of the site survey, the study of the building itself and its relationship with the environment (neighborhood Laureles). Intervention is subtle, exalts the existing building and the identity of this (the central courtyard) falls, being the central vacuum revealing the first floor, circulation retains its linear and continuous estructur against vacuum. The manifold circular cubicles located in the green areas are opportunities for alternative spaces for recreation for students of the faculty of Ingenierias. The project respects the random placement of internal trees on the lot of the building to keep their dynamics of movement and ownership of the place.
