Annual General Meeting-Highlights

Wakhadpada

25 years of relentless efforts towards social cause‌

WAKHADPADA is a small tribal village hamlet in Mokhada taluka in thane district. It is around 103 kms from thane and surrounded by Jawahar taluka towards west, Trimbak taluka towards east Igatpuri towards south and Vikramgad taluka towards west. Twenty three years back our then Association Leaders of our Mumbai & Goa unit decided to adopt the local Zilla Parishad school here and the gesture has been carried forward by the subsequent office bearers of the unit till today. Soon our Bank’s Wakhadpada branch was opened near this school and the Association placed its deposit at this branch initially as a goodwill gesture. Every year the school children are provided books, pencils, uniform, raincoats, etc during the opening of acadamic year in june and during the Diwali festival crackers and sweets are distributed to over 230 students studying in this school. The Mumbai and Goa unit of your Officers Association has been carrying on this social activity all these years. Some of the office bearers have undertaken to bear the educational expenses of some orphaned students. Our Bank was kind enough to sponsor the solar installation under the CSR scheme. Today all the 8 classrooms of this school are provided with fans and light and the school children are delighted about this. The school teachers are putting in their effort and are planning to make the school/ village Digital. The local panchayat has provided the school with a projector, and the school teachers are making all out efforts to use the solar electricity to further develop the school and also the village. A small gesture of providing solar power is creating a sort of revolution in this tribal village .A lot needs to be done still and lot of things can be done. Our efforts to bring smile on the face of the school children in particular and the villagers in general will continue. Any staff intending to contribute for this noble cause can get in touch with any of the office bearers.

(earlier – M/s DHS India Pvt. Ltd.) is available on the website www.Portal.Medibuddy.com Process for Availing Claim from Banks Buffer Amount after full Insurance cover amount is exhausted. Many of us are unaware that additional amount can be claimed after the full cover of Rs 4 Lakhs is exhausted. This facility is available for all critical illness ,but the rider here is that the employee has to make specific request and apply in the normal course duly recommended by the Zonal authorities. Once the claim is rejected by the TPA/Insurance company with the reason “Sum Insured exhausted”, the employee has to apply fresh and claim under buffer. As usual the request has to flow from the employee -Branch- Zone (duly recommended)-Head Office-TPA. Please note ultimately the funds from the Buffer amount will be released and paid by the insurance company only. The nodal officers at zonal office has to be very proactive to ensure that the employee is not deprived of the claim due to non-forwarding /delay in sending of claims to Head office on the ground that the Insurance cover amount is exhausted. It is necessary for the zonal authorities to sensitize branch Managers in the matter. Special care needs to be taken especially during the fag end of September every year when the existing insurance policy is going to lapse. Some important tips for availing medical claims smoothly and avoiding rejection Ensure the claim form is filled and all necessary prescription ( duly certified ) with original invoice , original reports etc. are duly sent to the TPA.
