Becca & Sydney make a weekly habit of taking the Red Line down from the Lake View neighborhood to check out the latest trends displayed along Throop Street. Since Sydney is in a wheelchair, she really appreciates the attention paid to accessibility.

Recently married, Cassie & Tisha live, work, & play in the neighborhood. Cassie is an instructor at CrossFit Chicago, while Tisha just opened a boutique along the Throop Street Corridor. To unwind, they visit bars atop the popular terrace at the lively space aptly dubbed Drink & Chew

Pursuing a Culinary Arts degree at Chicago’s Le Cordon Bleu, Ellie enjoys days when her class is held at The Creation Compound campus along the Throop Street Corridor. While visitors see, smell, and sample the class’ latest recipe, Ellie looks forward to gleaning inspiration from the various food vendors at The Shed after class.

Seniors from Wells Community Academy High School, this crew has created some lasting memories at Urban (S)Park from studying together at Ignite Café to riding bikes along the 606 Trail to anywhere in the downtown city.

The Bahar Family just moved to the neighborhood from abroad. Helping make their transition to life in the US smoother, they were very excited to have found a comfortable and affordable 2-bedroom apartment mixed-income complex right across the river from Urban [S]Park. Now that its winter, the two young Bahar children enjoy visiting the Ice skating rink at Chill Vill on the riverfront.

Program Architect at Wrigley’s Global Innovation Center, Gavin enjoys the proximity of his job and condo at The View to the Tech & Touch Interactive Space along the Riverfront (S)Park where he gets a chance to share some of his team’s latest inventions with the public.

Having seen a lot of the change over the decades throughout the city, Albert & Grace are happy to see a new type of vibrancy in this historically manufacturing area. They particularly enjoy taking walks on the north side of the river along the newly built riverfront
