32 AAGAMS IN JAINISM The word "Jain" has originated from the word "Ji". "Ji" means "to win". Those who have completely won over attachment, passion and malice are called Jain. According to the command of the Almighty. Jain are those who try to win over attachment, passion and malice in oneself. The sermon of Almighty good is knitted in the form of "Sutras" by gandharvas and is called "Jainagam". Jain Agam literature is the origin of other Jain literature. STUDYING IN INDIA VS STUDYING ABROAD I find India is as sophisticated as any western country if a native Indian move from a small place to bigger place, step by step. India is a very huge country as far as learning is concerned. The main title is STUDYING IN INDIA VS STUDYING ABROAD. The main factor one must take into mind is India is not just a single country as we are made to believe it is combination of many kind of culture, regions, systems and of course 4000 years civilization that has made India as the best in the world. India is the best u just cant compare India with any other ABORAD ANY WHERE. I have not been to any place on earth and no intention to visit any place on earth even after my death,i am so confidant of not visiting any country on this earth either for a tour or for studying on any subject or for making business or again study purpose. INDIA CANT BE COMPARED TO ANY COUNTRY ON EARTH. I am from Karnataka and let me detail u just one state i am living how much it has places to study and also for business purpose or even for earning or for any situation u opt or become of. BANGALORE. This one major city was a small place just sixty years back, i am not from Bangalore but know the growth of Bangalore since fifty years and can say it has grown having just 100 cars at that time to more than one million car all in a few decades time, and u name the quality of education it is there to be found and also it is possible to find suitable job par excellent over abroad. IF U WANT TO SPEAK ENGLISH JUST CHOOSE BANGALORE. Friends let me tell u frankly a ten year stay in Delhi wont give u enough fluent English speaking but
the moment u land at Bangalore every other person use hundreds of English words and in one go You become enlightened with English usage that u can’t get in any other city in India . MYSORE CITY.
U want to learn and love to enjoy just student life amidst natures gift of clean road and greens Mysore is very good and u love to bring ur parents to stay at Mysore and u can say Mysore is good over abroad. Indian culture is so intact and it is all south Indian makes u feel tranquil. SHIMOGA. I have named a small place that belongs to me, today this small place is so lovely, nature is just a mile away from the place u live, rivers, mountains and a drive in the forest just few miles from this place is a real learning place feel for u, young people should study in this place and i bet my place is par superior than any place abroad, here life is so cheap if u can get just ten thousand rupees a month from ur parents the life and education life will be like king like. don’t u agree. BOMBAY,DELHI,CALCUTTA,MADRAS,AH MEDABAD,POONA I can name hundred more. The above mentioned cities are today like international famed one, and if any one read this review and advantage of studying in India, he or she will have a chance to visit hundreds of places to learn and in the young age it is India is the best to learn and get real feel of educated. ABROAD EDUCATION IS SIMPLY A CONCEPT NOT A REAL EDCUATION FEEL. Students should never get westernized and studying abroad spoils their natural Indian behavior and Indians have a special nature that has lively concept of trait.
INDIAN TRAIT CANT BE EXPLAINED. LET someone write how trait of Indians is so dif it is unification of India in one word. if u find any fault or to add pl suggest i will re edit so those who want to study abroad i will make them converted to back to India as i love India. i am forced to add more as the subject is exhaustive and i have quoted just Bangalore as an example. This review need to be amended added as the quality of people in India is quality of life is western and quality of people is Indian. How many endorse their son or daughter to study abroad. Though the parents may be proud of their children to study abroad as a pride feel but if one take into overall aspect during the study time, the most student life, the way India moves along with the studies are totally absent, and one who study abroad is deprived of events at homeland. India was nearly 650 kingdoms rich with dif culture. Britishers united India as one entity and became republic bringing common civil code and other rules and regulation, but the basic India is totally diffrent in hundred variation. ANY OTHER COUNTRY CANT BOAST AS UNIQUE AS INDIA. If a student study abroad he will get tuned only to comfort of easiness, transport easiness, and of course the infrastructures in most western countries may be par excellence over India. TO STUDY ONE NEED NOTHING OF SUCH COMFORT. Calmness and comradeship is absolutely essential part and this is totally absent abroad, total loneliness spread in the mind of a boy or a girl and they start to think of setting their own life and style thus causing a local marriage also, but this may not suit fundamentally.
STUDY ABROAD IS DIFFRENT FROM SETTLING LIFE THERE. You went there to study but married a girl or a boy there and settled, will it really make life happy. NO no no,it is a big no. During the study life a boy or a girl is totally young and their aspiration is to learn and study which should be far superior to India, but in actual they are deprived of many things thus socialising cause them to engage themselves with the local person may be from India or from other Asian country or even the place they visit. Now i realise this review need lot of revision once again, it is just not easy to explain what is meant by study in India to compare with abroad, may be in comment i will be able to succeed. My determination to convince young boys or girls is please study in India, there is more life here than u expect in abroad problems faced by Indian students in Australia and other abroad places. The life of a student is to enjoy life of study and friendship with other like minded ages and if it is thwarted by ugly incidants the feelings will give greater pain than to learn anything. WHERE IS THE NECESSITY TO LEARN ABORAD. I have already named many centers and hundreds are there and each state has got enough colleges and of course it is cheap compared to abroad say U.S.A or England. DONT STUDY WORK AND STUDY BASIS. When a student goes abroad and also work, he or she is actually competing with the local and it enrages them because when u give ur service for less money over their higher demand it affects the local population and who so ever get unemployed will fist curse, then start teasing and also abusing later it can even become beatings to killings too. LIFE IS TOO IMPORTANT HENCE BE CAREFULL TO STUDY ABROAD. CHANGES ARE TAKING PLACE AT ALL OTHER PLACES SO ONE MUST THINK OF LIFE.
WELL THIS REVIEW HERE I HAVE DEVIATED SO I STOP HERE FOR SOMETIME.
DIY: JAR LAMP A low-budget DIY you can do even with two left hands.
Additionally, you need a lamp socket needed. At Big Bazaar we found one ready with the wire already to some super useful. Tools have a nail and a hammer to the opening in the lid. And paint the lid and the lamp socket to paint.
What do you need? A jar of course. There is only one requirement, and that is that there should be able to in a lamp, so the jug opening must be large enough. You can look for vintage jars. But you can also just go buy the Casa as we did. For a few bucks you already own. A lamp you need, and preferably a nice because it's very visible. We chose a light bulb with filament much in it, exactly as they did Edison. You can also opt for a more ecological alternative if you often will use the lamp.
The first step is the hardest. The lid should be a hole where the fitting fit through. Draw a circle therefore first on the lid with the fitting as a template. Then use the nail and hammer to knock holes in the lid. First, create a button which allows you some space between the holes. And then make a second round now and save between holes. The inner part will still hang on but with a well-aimed hammer that comes immediately. But watch out for sharp edges. Save now you're at two additional holes left and right in the lid to the hot air from the jar to leave your lamp inside.
Now insert the fitting through the hole and screw the cap screw from underneath as that was with him. Turn the whole not too tight otherwise the lamp may hang crooked.
Attach the wire with tape and paint the fitting and the cover in the same color for the best results. Let dry and you can turn the lamp inside and the lid on the jar screws.
Voila, it's that simple. Now only your lamp hanging on the place you want. The best result do you get through three jar lamps together to hang at different heights, or hang them in a row next to each other. Do you want to work and you still have questions, please let us know!
THE FOG CITY - IGATPURI is a town and a Hill Station municipal council in Nashik District in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is located in the Western Ghats. The station lies in Nashik District between Mumbai and Nashik Road on the Central Railway. There is a major presence of the Indian Railways within this small town. This is the station from where 25000 AC KV traction on OHE begins for CR trains starting from Mumbai CST. The station is famous for its scenic surroundings, wada pao and idlis sold by vendors to commuters traveling in the train. The exit of Igatpuri railway station signals the proximity of Mumbai on down route. Holy Family Convent High School is the oldest English medium school run in the town. Other English school "Wonderland High School & Jr College". There's an Arts, commerce & Science College. Igatpuri is surrounded by the highest peaks in Sahyaadri i.e. Western Ghats, most of them are forts built in Satavahana dynasty. The International Centre for Vipassana meditation called Dhammagiri, supposedly the largest Vipassana Center, is located here. This region consists of those mountains which are accessed by trains going from Mumbai CST to Kasara and Igatpuri. Local trains only go up to Kasara, and don't climb the Thal Ghat from Kasara to Igatpuri. Hence to go to Igatpuri, one has to either take a long distance train or reach Kasara by a suburban train and then take a bus uphill. Tourism is the most significant segment of the Igatpuri's economy. Following are the places most visited by tourists :
Bhatsa River Valley: The Bhatsa River valley is situated at the end of the Thal Ghat, just before entering Igatpuri from Mumbai. Situated about 3 km from Manas Resort. The valley lies in the basin of the majestic Bhatsa River. The valley is a picturesque spot with lush vegetation and majestic rocks formed by the river that runs through it.
Arthur Lake: A few kms from Igatpuri, lies a huge and placid Arthur Lake, set like a huge jewel amidst the dense greenery. The lake is formed by the waters of the Pravara River in the Bhandardara region.
Amruteshwar Temple: Built in 11th century AD, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Constructed in a distinct Hemadpanti style, the temple is surrounded by lush green fields and Mount
Kalsubai the highest mountain in Maharashtra. From here a further excursion leads to the Ratangad Fort. One can access this temple by road or a 8 km boat ride on Arthur Lake.
Tringalwadi Fort: It is situated at an altitude of 3,000 feet above the sea level. Since it is located very high, the fort offers picturesque scenery of the whole locality, especially Kulang and Kalsubai mountain ranges. The fort attracts trekkers also. The top of the fort is shaped like a Turban. A temple dedicated to lord Hanuman is nearby. An architectural marvel, the fort can be accessed through a narrow pathway, down to the Tringalwadi Lake. Just few kms away from Tringalwadi Lake is Talegaon Lake formed by the small Talegaon Dam.
View of Myanmar Gate, Dhamma Giri, Igatpuri. Dhamma Giri Meditation Centre: Founded by S.N.Goenka, Dhammagiri is a math which offers courses in Vipasana (insight meditation) a technique taught by the Buddha in India, 2,500 years ago. The large Golden Pagoda, the central theme of Dhammagiri serves as a landmark for Igatpuri. The math attracts a lots of people from various parts of India as well as abroad.
Ghatandevi Temple: Just ahead of Igatpuri, after crossing the camel Valley, comes across a small road, which leads to the Ghatandevi temple. According to the locals belief, Ghatandevi is the Protector of Ghats. The mountains of Durrar Utvad, Trimak and Harihar forms a spectacular backdrop. Behind the temple lies the Tringalwadi Fort.
Camel Valley: A few metres away from Bhatsa river Valley, on the right is the camel valley. On the other side of the valley is a waterfall formed by the rain waters and one have to walk over and look down to find a slop that falls over 1, 000 ft. The waterfall is the chief attraction of this place. The Five Waterfalls A little further from Ghatandevi, the rough road leading to the railway line begins. Across the railway line, while climbing down, falling one below the other, are five waterfalls that form which are main attraction for tourists in Igatpuri.

FINANCIAL PLANNING: WHAT ARE COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID Financial planning is a detailed process of understanding one’s financial status and milestones and then coming out with a comprehensive solution. However more often than not, financial planning is looked at more from a quick fix solution. I often come across people asking me which product I should invest in. The question is not about where to invest, but why to invest, which will decide your asset allocation. However the habit of jumping to fast solutions sometimes end up having adverse consequences. The common mistakes which I have come across while people plan their finances are as under:1) Current status and Way ahead:Financial planning can often be compared to a long distance travel. The first thing we do when we plan our travel is understand which places we want to go to. Then we decide on the affordability of the same. Then we decide on the mode of transport, whether the travel has to be completed by plane, bus, train etc. Then finally we buy the ticket and get our travel plans implemented. Similarly in financial planning; the first step should be to understand where I want to go, as in to decide your goals or milestones to be achieved. The second step should be to understand your current financial position which is your assets, liabilities, cash flows, taxation etc. to exactly know where you stand as of today. The third step should be to choose the asset class and products if required to reach the goal. Finally, the plan needs to be implemented because “A financial plan not implemented is a futile excersise”. However we more often than not first choose a product and get impressed with its features and invest in it not realising whether the same fits into our scheme of things. So it’s like first choosing our mode of transport and then deciding on the location. 2) Listen to advice, implementation can wait:In the process of financial planning, we come across a few people who are very excited about the whole exercise initially. They are keen to take advice and understand their financial status from a financial planner. However, taking advice is just a small percentage of the entire financial planning exercise. The process actually starts after the plan is presented. The implementation is of crucial importance because, a delay in the same will affect the effectiveness of the suggestions and
achieving one’s milestone could become difficult. Similarly regular financial plan reviews are extremely crucial because there would be changes in one’s goals, incomes and expenses. One needs to know where he has reached in comparison to his goals in the financial planning excersise. 3) Emotional planning for logical decisions:Financial planning deals a lot with financial behaviour of the individual. We often see people investing in markets at the highest point and refrain from investing when valuations are indeed attractive. Similarly we tend to follow fads a lot, so if gold or real estate seems to be doing well we end up allocating a major part of our portfolio towards such assets. This hampers our portfolio allocation. However what causes a real dent in our path to effective financial planning is our expenses which are more often than not driven by emotional needs. It can be a small purchase in a shop or a big purchase like buying your home. We tend to base decisions on emotional counts. We often come across cases where the budget to buy a car was Rs. 4 lacs but ended up spending more than double the amount. Another common example is that of home rennovation which always over shoots the monetary limits assigned. So every time there is a cash outflow its extremley important to ask whether what we are giving into is a need or a desire. 4) Short term memory :I often conduct corporate seminars on financial planning and I have seen a trend in the questions asked by particpants at various market conditions. When markets are doing well the questions are more about assets which are growth oriented and less biased towards security of ones asset class. Similarly when markets start tapering down everyone is on look out for guranteed return products. This is a problem, as our portfolio needs to be well balanced and has to be reviewed from time to time. We tend to forget the past as to how certain assets behaved and tend to focus all our attention only looking at the immediate present. This can prove expensive in the long run. The mistakes mentioned above are just a few of the several mistakes which we do in managing our finances. These errors, if not tended to, can lead to bigger financial blunders in the long run. However it is never too late to try and get your finances in place. All it requires is a proper guidance and a strong financial discipline.
HOW TO GET STARTED WITH FINANCIAL PLANNING Cliche - Unless you know where you are headed, you won't get there. Fact - Unless you know where you are headed, you won't get there. Anyway you look at it, knowing where you want to be is the all-important first step, and the rest follows. To draw a parallel in the world of financial planning , you first need to decide what you wish to achieve. Put simply, you need to begin the financial planning process by setting objectives. The objectives could range from buying a car, setting aside money for children's education to providing for your retirement. Typically, there will be multiple objectives, which can range from short-term to long-term ones. The trouble is that most individuals tend to ignore the "What" part i.e. what do you want to achieve? Instead, they start off with the "How" part i.e. how will you achieve the same? This in turn, leads to an ad hoc and directionless investment pattern that may not yield the desired results. The right approach is to decide on the "What" i.e. objective and then follow it up with the "How" i.e. a dedicated investment plan. There are some pointers that must be borne in mind, when you are setting objectives: Firstly, at any point in time, you are likely to face multiple objectives. For example, assume that you are a 35 year old individual with a 5 year old child and are yet to own a house property or provide for your retirement. In this case, providing for the child's education , accumulating a corpus for buying a house property and retirement planning are some of the pertinent objectives on hand. Now what you need to do is - prioritise. Start off with the objective that is most pressing and then provide for the others. Secondly, you are likely to find yourself in a situation, wherein despite the presence of clearlylaid out objectives, you lack the means to provide for all of them. In other words, you may not have sufficient funds to meet all the objectives. A typical reaction (which can prove costly in the long run) is to postpone investing and "wait for an opportune time". Our advice - never delay
investing. Instead, the key lies in starting off as early as possible and giving yourself adequate time; begin with the investible funds that you have and make up for the shortfall at a later date when hopefully you will have more funds at your disposal. Finally, setting objectives is a very personalised activity, i.e. it has to be right for you. The activity should not be influenced by external factors like your friends, relatives or peers. This is vital since what you set out to achieve is what you will eventually land up with. Ensure that you put in adequate thought before arriving at the objectives. How to get there: Having discussed, how to set objectives, let's now take a look at how you should go about achieving those objectives. Becoming a crorepati (Rs 1 crore is Rs 10 million) is often viewed as the pinnacle of affluence. Let's assume that you are a 30-Yr old individual who wishes to retire at the age of 60 years; this gives you an investment horizon of 30 years. Furthermore, you have decided that you need a retirement kitty of a crore to take care of your post-retirement expenses. We shall assume 3 scenarios, wherein investments made to achieve the stated objective (becoming a crorepati), yield returns of 12% pa, 15% pa and 17% pa. Become a crorepati: Objective (Rs) 10,000,000 Tenure (years)
30 Case 1 Case 2 Case 3
Rate of return (%) 12
15
17
Invest Anualy(Rs) 41,437 23,002 15,445 Invest Monthly (Rs)
3,277 1,796 1,197
As can be seen in the table, if your investments yield a return of 12% pa, then you need to invest Rs 3,277 per month or Rs 41,437 pa (over 30 years). If you take on higher risk and the investments yield a return of 15% pa, then the required monthly and annual investments drop to Rs 1,796 and Rs 23,002 respectively. Finally, if the investments yield a return of 17% pa, then you need to invest Rs 1,197 per month or Rs 15,445 pa.

the bottom of the mystery himself/herself. That, in my opinion, is why this suspense drama works. Frankly, it's the sort of film that's extremely tough to pull off, but Reema has a strong control of the material and together with her efficient team pulls off the trick with aplomb and composure.
Before analyzing the movie, I just wish to state one thing. You haven't watched a suspense thriller like TALAASH on the Hindi screen. Ever. Also, all those sms-es prior to the release pertaining to the 'killer' are humbug, bogus and phony. Another clarification. TALAASH is not remotely similar to KAHAANI. A lot of space was devoted to the imaginary tale that TALAASH and KAHAANI were similar in nature. But you realize it's an ill-founded rumor as the reels of TALAASH unfold. It's also alleged that TALAASH borrows from a novella called 'Act Of Providence'. Then there's an assumption that TALAASH borrows from SHUTTER ISLAND... Similarities apart, TALAASH stands on its feet for the reason that it merges conspiracy, tension and tragedy with dexterousness. Add to it the turn of events, the razor sharp dialogue and of course, the suspense... TALAASH takes the suspense angle to a new altitude altogether, emerging into an exceptionally constructed mystery. Aamir Khan plays an investigation officer, Inspector Shekhawat, who is informed about the accident and subsequent death of a superstar. The case turns into a life altering chase for Inspector Shekhawat when he is forced to reel under the repercussions of a disturbed married life [Rani Mukherji] and come face to face with his suppressed grief. Being on his investigative quest, Inspector Shekhawat meets a sex worker [Kareena Kapoor], who further adds shades of mystery to the puzzle. What looks like a simple car accident investigation turns into a haunting mystery as further investigations show many anomalies were stringed to the death of the victim. TALAASH is dramatic and absorbing, both. Director Reema Kagti takes up an attention-grabbing premise and along with co-writer Zoya Akhtar spins a tale that makes the viewer a participant of sorts. While the cop tries hard to solve the jigsaw puzzle, the spectator, with his mind wide alert by now, gets intrigued by what he observes and perceives and is keen to get to
The finale, sure enough, is all important in a film of this genre. In this case, it's astonishing, powerful and also heartrending. It ends up as an emotional film that tugs at your heartstrings. The film delves into deep, dark secrets and that makes the conclusion one of the most satisfying wrap ups one has witnessed in a movie of this variety. I could just go on and on about the merits of the film, but I shall not reveal any further and spoil the fun for you. I suggest, experience it yourself! Though Aamir has portrayed the role of a cop earlier, he brings something new to the table with his spellbinding performance in TALAASH. The earnestness and authenticity with which he enacts his character cannot be expressed in a few sentences. That would be doing gross injustice to the actor's abilities, frankly. He holds the camera in every frame and charges assertively through the film, making you believe in Inspector Shekhawat's journey in entirety. It's a standout piece of acting, unquestionably. That Aamir is the best actor of his generation comes to the fore yet again! Both Rani and Kareena are given a moment in the sun, despite Aamir dominating the film with a powerpacked performance. Rani is superb as the troubled wife, while Kareena is terrific as the hooker. Together the two actresses deliver admirable performances that would definitely merit a mention in award ceremonies next year. The sequences between Aamir and Kareena in particular are simply fantastic! Nawazuddin Siddiqui sparkles in a significant role, enacting his part with remarkable ease. Raj Kumar Yadav is efficient enough. Shernaz Patel leaves a stunning impact. Every actor in the film -- in a brief role or otherwise -- stays fresh in your memory after the screening has concluded. On the whole, TALAASH is an outstanding film. A taut psychological thriller that keeps you guessing till the end, it leaves you spellbound, leaves you mesmerized, leaves you with an exclamation, 'Wow!'. An absolute must watch for all movie buffs. You just can't afford to miss this one!
