2nd TIRTHANKAR AJITNATH
The queen gave birth to a son on the eighth day of the bright half of the month of Magh. Inspired by the popular lore, the king named the new born as the Ajit. The same night vaijayanti also gave birth to a son who was named Sagar. Then both the princes came of age they were married. Time passed with the fusion of happiness. When king Jitshatru became old and wanted to devote the last part his life to spiritual pursuit, he called his younger brother and asked him to take over the throne. Sumitra had no desire for the kingdom, he too wanted to become an ascetic. Both the princes were called and offered the kingdom. Ajit Kumar was a naturally detached person since childhood, and so he too declined. At last prince Sagar ascended the throne. Ajit Kumar became an ascetic in his youth and went into remote and dense forests for his meditation and penance. His personality and the intensity of his lofty practices cast a pacifying influence all around. Natural enemies in the animal kingdom, like lion and cow, wolf and deer, snake and mongoose used to come and sit around him peacefully.
The soul that became Bhagavan Ajitnath, in its earlier incarnation, was the great king Vimalvahan of Susima city in Mahavideh area. He led a pious life in spite of the available princely grandeur. At an appropriate time, he became an ascetic under Arindam Suri. Meditating about the omniscient and liberated souls and indulging in harsh penance, he purified his soul to a level where he could earn the Tirthankar-nam-and-gotra-karma. Completing his age, he reincarnated as a god in the Viaya-anuttar-dimension. After completing his age in the dimension of gods, he descended into the womb of queen Vijaya Devi, wife of king Jitshaturu of Vinita town. Queen vijaya Devi saw the same fourteen dreams. This was a queer coincidence. When the augers were consulted they informed that Vijaya Devi will give birth to a Tirthankar and Vaijayanti to a Chakravarti (monarch of six continents). During the period of the queen’s pregnancy, the influence of king Jitshatru enhanced to an extant that even the enemy kingdoms sought and negotiated friendly treaties with him. it became a common practice to say, "King Jitshatru is invincible (Ajit)."
After a twelve year period of deep meditation and other spiritual practices attained omniscience on the eleventh day of the bright half of the month of Paush. The gods created the divine pavilion and Bhagawan Ajitnath gave his eloquent and magnetic discourses. Thousands of people accepted the path of renunciation. King Sagar, during this period, conquered the six continents and became Chakravarti. King Meghvahan and Vidyadhar Bhim, the ruler of the island of Rakshasas (demons), were the illustrious contemporaries of Emperor Sagar. Once they went to a discourse of Bhagavan Ajitnath. There, Vidyadhar Bhim was drawn towards spiritual life. He became so detached that he gave his kingdom including the famous cities of Lanka and Patal Lanka to king Meghvahan. He also gave all his knowledge and miraculous powers to Meghvahan. Besides this he gave a divine necklace of nine large and shining beads. Meghvahan was the first king of the Rakshas clan in which the famous king Ravana was born.
Death of Sagar’s Sixty Thousand Sons Emperor Sagar had thousands of queens and sixty thousand sons. Eldest among them was Janhu Kumar. Once all the princes went for an outing.
nothing is left he would be contented with the pleasure of serving his guests. During the drought there were many occasions when the king remained unfed and thirsty.
When they arrived at the base of Astapad hills, they dug up large ditches and canals. In their youthful abandon they flooded these canals with the water of river Ganges. This flash flood inundated the houses and villages of the lower gods known as Nag Kumars. The king of these gods, Jwalanprbh came and tried to stop them in vain. The unruly princes were intoxicated with the regal power. At last Jwalanprabh lost his temper and turned all the sixty thousand princes to ashes.
As a result of this sublime feeling of compassion, Vipulvahan acquired unique purity of soul and earned the Trithankr-namand-gotra-karma. Although, after the drought normalcy returned, the torture of the living world by the nature left a mark on Vipulvahan’s psyche. One day while he was standing on the roof top he witnessed dense rain clouds being scattered by wind. A feeling of intense detachment grew in him. He handed over his kingdom to his son and took Diksha from Svayamprabh Suri. After completing his age he reincarnated in the Anat dimension of gods.
This sudden death of all his sons was a traumatic experience for Emperor Sagar. He handed over the empire to his eldest grandson, Bhagirath, and took Diksha from Bhagavan Ajitnath. When his last moments were approaching, Bhagavan Ajitnath went Sammetshikhar. With one thousand other ascetics, he commenced his final meditation. He attained Nirvana on the fifth day of the bright half of the month of Chaitra.
3RD TIRTHANKAR SAMBHAVNATH
A long time after the Nirvana of Bhagavan Ajitnath, the city of Kshempuri in the Airavat area of Mahavideh was ruled by king Vipulvahan. He was a soft hearted and compassionate ruler who loved and cared for his subjects. Once when there was a devastating draught and the population was deprived even of a few drops of water, the king opened his grain yards for the public, his kitchen for the monks and ascetics and his treasury for the import of food grains. He instructed the caretaker of his personal kitchen that the doors of his kitchen should be open to all and sundry. All guests should be given priority over himself. Whatever little is left should be served to him. If
From the Anat dimension, the being that was Vipulvahan descended into the womb of queen Sena Devi, wife of king Jitari of Shravasti. While this being was still in the mother’s womb there were sufficient rains and abundant crop. One day when the king and queen were happily watching the lush green vegetation all around, from their roof top, the king said, "My dear! This time even the waste-land is filled with grain crop. It seems that all this that is impossible, has been made possible (Sambhav) due to the auspicious influence of the pious soul you carry in your womb. We shall call our son- Sambhav." On the fourteenth day of the bright half of the month of Margshrish, the queen gave birth to a healthy son and he was ceremoniously named Sambhav Kumar. The little prince grew up in royal comfort but he hardly ever took more than cursory interest in the luxurious life style. At the appropriate age Sambhav Kumar was married and coronated. After a long and peaceful reign he became an ascetic on the fifteenth day of the bright half of the month of Margshrish. After a fourteen year period of spiritual practices, he attained omniscience. Arhat Sambhavnath gave his first discourse on the ephemeral nature of the mundane existence. For a long period he worked for the spread of religion. He got Nirvana on the fifth day of the bright half of the month of Chaitra.

Eat well and relax • Photocopy your hall ticket and keep one copy at home in case you lose your bag • Parents should remain calm and not add to the child’s stress levels
With the HSC examination set to kick off in a week, college principals have a word of advice for anxious students. “Relax, stay cool, and don’t stay awake too late before your papers,’’ said Father Frazer Mascarenhas, principal of St Xavier’s College. As for last minute tips on what to revise over the next one week, the verdict is unanimous. Principals feel it is essential for students to revise previous year’s exam papers. When it comes to humanities, teachers advise students to focus on the objective section, where they can score their best. “History papers have 26 marks worth objective questions. Try and get full marks in this section,’’ said Hawabibi Chunawala, a history teacher at Jai Hind College. “As there are lots of holidays between the exam papers this year, you don’t need to stress over the exams. You have enough time to go through your entire syllabus before the exam,’’ said Sathaye College principal Kavita Rege. “Avoid jumping questions. Attempt questions in a sequence,” she added.
• Don’t waste too much paper leaving white space in the exam paper. This gives examiner the impression that you’re unsure of the subject • Don’t overdo the preparations. Twenty minutes before the paper, close your books • After you have written the paper, take a few minutes to look through the paper before you give it in • Science students should draw neat and clean diagrams • For those commuting to exam centres by train or bus, leave well in time so that delays while travelling don’t cause you much stress • Visit your exam centre a day in advance

WHAT IS STOMACH PAIN? – PART 1
that are close to but not within the abdominal cavity. For example, the lower lungs, the kidneys and the uterus or ovaries. Your Stomach Pain Denotes...
Stomach pain, indigestion, constipation, heart burn and diarrhea are among the most common reasons people see their doctors or opt for household remedies. Most of this gastric discomfort diminishes after a few hours on its own or with some help from over-the-counter drugs like gelusil tablet or a glass of ENO or a tablespoon of ajawain. But if the stomach pain occurs more frequently then, one needs to understand that it’s the body’s way of telling you that something’s wrong.
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and stomach pain A heart burn once in a blue moon is nothing to worry about, a antacid can easily banish that pain, but if the heart burn comes back again and again, than this could be a symptom of GERD. When acid leaks from the stomach into the esophagus, it causes acid reflux or gastric reflux. Chronic acid reflux is called GERD . Symptoms for GERD are heartburn, chest pain and regurgitation (which means acid washing up into your throat, which leaves a strong sour taste in your mouth that can make you cough.) In older adults, GERD may cause breathlessness, harshness, difficulty swallowing, indigestion and vomiting.
WE TELL YOU HOW TO RECOGNIZE AND SOLVE THOSE STOMACH PAINS.
How bad is GERD
Understanding Stomach Pains
While pain in the stomach or abdominal area can arise from the tissues of the abdominal wall, such as skin and abdominal muscles, the term abdominal pain in general is used to describe pain originating from organs within the abdominal cavity. These organs include the stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gallbladder and pancreas. Occasionally pain may be felt in the abdomen even though it is arising from organs
In older adults, GERD commonly causes Esophagitis, inflammation of the esophagus. According to Livestrong.com, this inflammation may erode the lining of the esophagus, causing an open sore to form an ulcer that may bleed and cause pain. This damage to the lining can lead to the formation of scar tissue, which narrows the food way and makes swallowing difficult. Treatment For GERD
If heartburn continues to trouble you for several weeks and your condition worsens, you have to see a doctor who will give you medicines to stop the production of acid. If your problem is severe and your age is 50+ than the doctor may also recommend an endoscopy (internal examination of your esophagus). This test will reveal inflammations and narrowing of the esophagus that requires different style of treatment
Treatment For Ulcers Killing the bacteria Helicobacter pylori with antibiotics is the treatment of Ulcers. It also involves reducing the level of acid in your stomach to let the ulcer heal. If pain relievers are the root cause of the problem, than a different dose, as well as acid-reducing medications will allow the ulcer to heal. Ulcers that don’t heal should be checked for cancer. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Ulcers
It is a myth that ulcers are caused by spicy food as most ulcers develop because of a bacterial infection or as a side effect of medications. Studies have revealed that bacterium Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) may be found in the mucous layer that covers and protects the lining of your stomach and can cause an sore or an ulcer. Regular use of painkillers can cause ulcers too, which is more common in people post 50. Ulcers that occur in the digestive system are called peptic ulcers. According to betterhealth channel, the most common symptom of a peptic ulcer "is a excruciating pain in your upper abdomen between your navel and breastbone, weightloss, indigestion, nausea."
This is a very common condition in people living in cities, which is characterized by recurrent abdominal pain or discomfort associated with abnormal bowel movements. People suffering from IBS experience cramps and diarrhea after finishing a meal. These people than spen hours in the loo feeling bloated and constipated. According to badgut.com, “IBS is a chronic, often debilitating, functional gastrointestinal disorder with symptoms that include abdominal pain, bloating, and altered bowel behaviours. These are constipation and/or diarrhea, or alternating between the two stool consistency extremes." Stress and other psychological factors, such as anxiety, also may contribute to IBS. Because more serious conditions can produce the same symptoms as IBS, you’ll need certain tests to rule out other illnesses, especially if you’re older or if your symptoms are new. How Bad is IBS? Although IBS can cause discomfort, and even severe symptoms at times, it isn’t life-threatening. Like Ulcers this does not cause cancer. Treatment A healthy diet (full of fiber) and regular exercise are good starting points for handling IBS. Together, they help keep your digestive system working smoothly. Minimizing stress and addressing anxiety through relaxation techniques, antidepressants, may help reduce nerve sensitivity.
HOW TO SELECT A GOOD TV ? Considering a flat-panel TV? The latest LCD and plasma HDTVs deliver outstanding picture quality, and both display technologies have improved dramatically over the past two years. Each type has a different set of strengths that make it more suitable for certain viewing situations. In this article, we'll cover the pros and cons of each type, and explain some of the most common "tech-speak" in terms that will help you make apples-to-apples comparisons when you're shopping. You'll learn everything you need to know to figure out which flat-panel type is right for you. We'll also take a closer look later in the article at what happens inside each panel type to help you understand why you may prefer one over the other.
If you poke around the Internet you'll find a ton of information (and some misinformation) about today's flat-panel TVs. The chart below provides a quick comparison of plasma and LCD. Because of the difference in performance between fluorescent-backlit LCD TVs and LED-backlit models, we've separated them into two different rows. Display Type

LED TVs such as the Samsung UN46EH6000 combine LCD display technology with LED backlighting to create bright, high-contrast images. What about LED TVs? So-called "LED TVs" have become really popular in the past few years. This is not a new display technology. LED TVs are actually just LCD HDTVs that use an LED backlight instead of a conventional fluorescent one. While the display technology is the same, LED-LCD TVs generally have better contrast and more accurate colors than fluorescent-backlit models. For more information, see our video on LCD backlighting.
Pros: excellent contrast and black levels; effortless motion; good picture depth Cons: not as power-efficient or thin as most LCDs; generates more heat than LCDs LCD with fluorescent backlight Pros: panels weigh less than plasma and use less energy Cons: picture slightly less natural and "filmlike" than plasmas LCD with LED backlight Pros: panels use the least energy and weigh less than plasma; models with local dimming capability can have black levels rivaling plasmas Cons: picture slightly less natural and "filmlike" than plasmas What type of TV do I need for 3D?
LCD vs. plasma To watch 3D TV, you'll need a TV with a screen capable of displaying 3D video — it can be a
plasma or LCD. You'll also need compatible 3D glasses, either "active" or "passive" to match the type of 3D tv you have. And you'll need a source of 3D video, like a 3D Blu-ray player or 3D channels from your cable or satellite TV provider. For more info, see our intro to 3D, watch our video about 3D TV, or check out our in-depth 3D TV FAQ. Viewing angle - All flat-panel TVs have a great picture when you're sitting directly in front of the screen. But if your eyes aren't centered on the screen — you're viewing from off to one side, standing up, or lying on the floor — you may notice that the picture looks less bright and vivid, and you might see slight changes in color. Viewing angle limitations are more of an issue for LCD TVs than for plasmas. LCDs use a backlight, and the LCD pixels act like shutters, opening and closing to let light through or block it. This shutter effect causes increasing variations in picture brightness as viewers move further off axis. Picture contrast - Picture contrast is the difference between the brightest whites and the deepest blacks a TV can produce. It's an important performance spec — some experts consider it to be the most important. But because TV makers don't all measure contrast the same way, it can be difficult for shoppers to make meaningful comparisons between different TV brands. Contrast specs are most useful when comparing models from the same manufacturer.
The center example illustrates how good picture contrast combines deep black levels and natural shadow detail. The screen at left lacks deep blacks, while the right screen is too dark, obscuring details. What you should know about picture contrast: "Native" vs. "dynamic" contrast ratio: Native contrast ratio (also called "static" or "on-screen" contrast) measures the difference between the brightest and darkest images a TV can
produce simultaneously. Dynamic contrast ratio refers to the ultimate bright/dark range a TV can produce over time. A TV's dynamic contrast spec will always be higher, so TV makers prefer to list it. For more info, watch our video that explains picture contrast. LCD vs. plasma: Two ways to increase contrast ratio are to make whites look brighter, or blacks look blacker. LCD screens are typically brighter than plasmas, making them good choices for viewing in rooms with lots of light. Plasmas are known for producing deeper black levels, which makes them a smart choice if you do a lot of viewing with your room's lights dimmed or darkened. Some LED TVs can also achieve dramatic contrast levels. The most sophisticated type of LED backlighting employs clusters of LEDs which can be switched on and off independently. This "local dimming" approach represents the current state of the art for LCD picture contrast. A plasma TV might be for you if: You like rich, warm colors and deep black levels. You do most of your viewing with low or modest room lighting. You'll be sitting off-axis when you watch TV or movies. You want the smoothest, most natural motion with fast on-screen action, like sports or video games. If you need a screen smaller than 42" or larger than 65", LCD is your only flat-panel TV option. LCD displays are very bright (brighter even than plasmas), so they can be better choices for more brightly lit rooms, including kitchens. An LCD TV might be for you if: You want an ultra-thin TV — LCD TVs, especially LED-backlit models, tend to be thinner than plasmas. You do a lot of daytime viewing in a room with windows lacking blinds, curtains or drapes. An LCD's bright picture will be look better in bright light; some LCD screens also resist glare. Low power consumption is a priority — LCD TVs are usually more energy efficient than plasma models with the same screen size. Charity in simple terms is voluntarily giving any kind of help to those who are in need of it. This assistance that is offered to those who need it can be in monetary or non-monetary forms. Charity is done for philanthropic or social reasons. It is always a good practice to share the privileges that the Creator has bestowed upon us with the underprivileged. According to the Indian Mythology by doing charitable deeds you make your way easy towards the door of heaven. However, there is one thing that gets attached to the Charity that you do that is donations. Charitable Donation is referred to as gift or advance made in the form of land, cash, service or clothing and security towards a non-profit organization by an individual or a business firm.
While you donate keeping in heart a good cause there is a good chance for you to get certain deductions on your taxable income depending upon the institution you opt for making your donations. It is noteworthy that donations up to 10 percent of your total income would earn you deduction.
Tax Benefits of Charity in India– Section 80G – All of you whether you are an individual, an NRI or a member of HUF and you are making donations that are eligible can earn a deduction up to 50 percent or 100 percent on your taxable income. However, the percent of deduction you get eligible for would depend upon the charitable institution which you are contributing to. It is important for you to pay out your donation from exempted or taxable income. You should also remember that whatever donation you pay needs to be in cash or through cheque. Anything given in kind as a donation would not make you eligible for claiming deduction. If you have made donations to political parties and foreign trusts keeping in mind that you will earn deduction then you are sadly mistaken. However, if you make donations in aid for development of games or sponsorship of sports that falls under u/s 10(23) or to Indian Olympic Association then your company qualifies for gaining a deduction on the taxable income. 100 percent Deduction on Donations – If you give your donations to any of the following funds you will earn 100 percent deduction without any qualifying limit on the donations you make. These funds are – i. Approved university or educational institution of national eminence ii. Donations made to Zila Saksharta Samitis. iii. National Defence Fund iv. The Chief Minister’s Earthquake Relief Fund, Maharashtra v. Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund vi. Prime Minister’s Armenia Earthquake Relief Fund vii. The Army Central Welfare Fund or the Indian Naval Benevolent Fund or The Air Force Central Welfare Fund viii. The National Foundation for Communal Harmony ix. The National Blood Transfusion Council or a State Blood Transfusion Council. x. The Africa (Public Contribution - India) Fund
50 percent Deduction on Donations- The following funds are those that will provide you with 50 percent of deductions on the donations you make without any qualifying limit. These are: i. Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust ii. Prime Minister’s Drought Relief Fund iii. The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation iv. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund v. National Child’s Fund
While you donate for a social cause it is important for you to get the receipt of your donation in order to claim a tax deduction. The receipt should bear you name, the name of the trust, the amount donated and also the registration number of the trust as per Section 80G.
If you make donations for promoting family planning to a local authority or government or you donate towards the Indian Olympic Association then you would qualify for 100 percent deduction subject to 10 percent of adjusted gross total income. If the amount you donate to local authority or government is for any other purpose than family planning then you qualify for 50 percent deduction subject to 10 percent adjusted gross total income. While you make donations to NGOs you earn tax deductions. It happens so because these NGOs are government approved and they run for a social cause. The NGOs registered under section 12A or section 10(23) c) and meeting certain other conditions are also exempted from paying tax. Section 35AC – If you make contributions towards certain pre-approved projects that fall under this section; you can claim 100 percent deduction on the donations you make. Section 35CCB – This section caters to NGOs who are involved in working towards a forestration and conservation of natural resources. If you make any donation for this purpose you qualify for claming 100 percent deduction.
If you are a salaried person and have contributed your bit towards the charitable fund from your salary and if the donation receipt bears the name of the company, even then you are subject to a deduction under Section 80G and are entitled to claim the same. Prior making your donations make sure that the charitable institution you are contributing to is a registered one. As they say whatever goes around comes back, thus a small contribution made by you for a good cause not only shows your sharing spirit but can end you earning tax deduction thus lowering your taxable income. You may also take a step forward to contribute your bit towards the society by giving away the surplus food, clothes, toys, books etc that are no more useful for you. Who knows you may become the reason for lighting up someone’s face. After all there is nothing more satisfying than spreading smiles.

He resigned from NDA government in Octorber 2002 to concentrate on party work.Prime Minister tried to convince him to continue his work. However, on 23 December 2002 his resignation was accepted by President A P J Abdul Kalam. He is the grandson of Sheikh Abdullah, who formed Kashmir's first political party the Muslim Conference in 1932, which was later rechristen as National Conference. He remained the Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir 1948-1953, and also Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir two times, 1975 and 1977. After his death in 1982, his son Farooq Abdullah dominated the political arena for many years and remained the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir thrice in 1982, 1986 and 1996. Farooq’s son Omar joined politics in 1998, as a Lok Sabha member, a feat he repeated in subsequent three elections and also remained a Union minister; he took on the mantle of National Conference from his father in 2002, though he lost his own seat of Ganderbal during the 2002 state assembly elections, and so did his party, the political mandate; four years later, he fought once again from the very seat and won in the 2008 Kashmir Elections. Omar Abdullah born 10 March 1970, is the son of Farooq Abdullah and grandson of Sheikh Abdullah, both have remained Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. His mother Mollie, a British Christian,
In 1998, Omar Abdullah was elected to 12th Lok Sabha. In 1998-99, he was Member, Committee on Transport and Tourism and Member, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Tourism. He was the youngest Minister at the age of 29. In 1999, he was re-elected to 13th Lok Sabha. On October 13, 1999 he took oath as Union Minister of state, Commerce and Industry. On July 22, 2001, he became the youngest Union Minister, when he was made Union Minister of State for External affairs, a post he resigned from on December 23, 2002, to concentrate on party work. On June 23, 2002, he became the President of National Conference replacing his father Farooq Abdullah; he was re-elected as party's President for a second term in 2006. In March 2006, much to the disapproval of the centre, Omar Abdullah had a one-on-one meeting with Pakistan President, Pervez Musharaf in Islamabad. This was the first meeting of its kind between a main-stream politician from Jammu & Kashmir and the Pakistani government thereby reenforcing Omar's growing commitment to the solution of the Jammu & Kashmir cause - no matter what the stakes might be; Omar received a rousing reception by thousands of Kashmiris upon his return from there. On July 9, 2007, Omar escaped a bid on his life when suspected militants threw two rifle grenades targeted at him. The incident happened when
Omar was interacting with party workers at a party leader's house. On July 22, 2008, Omar gave a passionate speech during the 2008 Lok Sabha vote of confidence, which was praised by almost all quarters, and even won him fans on the net. He was also seen briefly, playing himself, in director Apoorva Lakhia's film, Mission Istanbul (2008), based on international terrorism. After the 2008 Kashmir Elections, the National Confernce won the maximum number of seats, and formed a coalition government with Congress party, and Omar was sworn in as the 11th Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir on January 5, 2009 at the General Zoravar Singh Stadium in the University of Jammu, Jammu, raising hope amongst the people of Jammu and Kashmir who have been reeling under insurqency and voilence since 1989. Omar Abdullah on 28 July 2009 submitted his resignation to Governor N N Vohra Omar Abdullah resigns over sex scandal allegations against him by the opposition PDP. His resignation was however rejected by the governor N. N. Vohra. After assmuming the office of Chief Minister on 5 january 2009 the human rights situation in IndianAdministered Jammu and Kashmir deteriorated from bad to worse. Within the first six months in the office Indian Armed Forces were accused of killing at least fifteen civilians including three women after being raped. The first killing took place barely few hundred meters away from the residence of Omar Abdullah only two days after he was sworn in as Chief Minister of the state. The victim, Abdul Rashid Rishi, 45, a deaf and dumb from South Kashmir’s Pahalgam was shot dead by the Army, when he was in Srinagar to meet the Ministers and seek a job for his adopted son Feroz on January 7,2009. The killings at Bomai, khaigam, Baramulla and Shopian rape and murder
of two young women in Shopian invoked a severe public anger and consequently resulted in valley wide protests and reiterated demands for freedom and removal of Indian Armed Forces from Jammu and Kashmir. In the subsequent days hundreds of protesters including the profreedom leaders were beaten up and many were arrested or detained under contovertial Public Safety Act. On 8th July 2009 alone PTI reported that "...police has arrested over 320 people..." who according to police were "fomenting trouble". Police slapped minor charges of disturbing peace to serious offences like that under section 307 (attempt of murder) on those arrested. An editorial in Greater Kashmir noted about this situation that "...ever since the new government took over the state administration has not only been handling every situation ineptly but also ridiculously... (administration) has been detaining and slapping Public Safety Acts against the voices of dissent and disagreement on absurd and ludicrous grounds that have made it a laughing stock within and outside the state...". Omar Abdullah was also accused of covering up the rape and murder of two young women in Shopian allegedly by Indian Armed Forces. The incident seriously challenged the credibility of the chief minister, Omar Abdullah. Many regarded this as his first failure as even moderates felt that the young and inexperienced Omar Abdullah had failed his first test as Chief Minister by bowing to pressure from New Delhi. A. G. Noorani, a prominent lawyer and a commentator on regional affairs noted that "He (Omar Abdullah) needed prodding by the Centre even to order registration of an FIR... this testifies the gravity of Omar Abdullah’s lapses... (and) reveals the mindset that he will follow the tradition firmly established by his father, Farooq Abdullah..."
MURDER OF A POTENTIALLY GOOD FILM
The Bahtts are well know in the Hindi film industry for obvious reasons of course, the two are very prominent though A. Erotic Thrillers with enough of sex and nudity B. Copying Korean /Spanish /Japanese /English /Greek /Latin etc, etc, etc films (They call it Inspiration) this time too they have done what they do the best A+B. Yes Murder 3 is a official remake of 2011 Spanish Movie La Cara Oculta (The Hidden Face). A little bit of this and a little bit of that, and what do we get ? Ans. MURDER 3 Vikram (Randeep Hooda) & Roshani (Aditi Rao Hydari) are a happy in love living in South Africa both set in their respective professions Vikram is a photographer, Roshani is an architect. Vikram gets an offer from an Indian Company but their condition is that he has to work from India, lovable and adjustable partner Roshani agrees to leave everything and decides to leave for India. On reaching India they buy a house in the middle of nowhere away from all the sounds and commotion of a city so they have peace for themselves. The job of Randeep Hooda is very lucrative as most of the time he is surrounded by beautiful models and stylsits, this sparks jealousy and more than that suspicion in the heart of his girlfriend Roshani, on top of that she sees some personal messages of chat between Vikram and his Stylist Naomi which adds fuel to her suspicion. She’s sad and depressed and shares her ordeal with the landlady who was the daughter of British Officer and owner of the house they bought. She reveals a hidden secret about the house to her. What is the Secret ? How Will it Change the life of Vikram & Roshani ? If you think the questions are interesting and the answers will be interesting go and see Murder 3. (CANNOT WRITE MORE SINCE IT IS A SUSPENSE MOVIE)
For those who want to know about everything else read further. Randeep Hooda plays the role of a depressed lover whose girlfriend has dumped him and left, he tries to play a devdas but fails miserably. even when hes not drunk he looks drunk and has give a very lethargic performance. Looks like Vishesh Bhatt had to pull him out his sleeping bed to give a shot. Aditi Rao Hydari’s performance is a two part performance in first half shes not very appealing and looks very ordinary, but post interval shes give a real mature performance, in the second half she’s a really intelligent, calm and composed woman if you can say. Nisha (Sara Loren) is good reminds us of Bipasha Basu & Esha Gupta at times cant call her excellent but cant write her off as well. Rajesh Shringarpure as police officer is just hamming and looks like a mimickery artist. D.K Bose (Bugs Bhargava) has a small but very amicable role. Music of the movie is nothing to rave about, unfortunately i cannot remember even the titles of the song to mention. The cinematography and camera work is average, sound effects are not up to the mark. On the whole Muder 3 is that type of a movie which has killed itself due to incompetence at many levels the story and the plot is very good but the director and the writer dont do justice to the plot. Its a movie which could have been very well made to thrill the audience and put them to the edge of their seats, but sadly it disappoints. I would not recommend this movie for theatre screening Save your money and watch it when it airs on TV or some movie channel ! My Rating 2.5/5 (1 for the small moments of thrill and excitement & 1.5 for the plot and the story of the
Aquarius - If you haven't lost your temper in the past few weeks, pat yourself on the back. If you have, apologize. Any irritation or grumpiness you feel points to changes you should make, not someone else. Speak with confidence. Those in power or influence see you can get the job done. Lead and they will follow.
Leo - It's hard for people to be objective around you now; they feel as if you are reacting to them. So pay attention to the signals. Make people feel special or at the very least act as if you respect them. Your efforts should be culminating from approx. a year or so ago. You want to be wanted during the next phase.
Pisces - Sign papers, put in applications, make decisions and act on them this week if possible. As you close out a chapter in your life, have no regrets. Be satisfied with accomplishments and what you learned from mistakes. It is the most any of us can hope for. Be your best right down to the finish line.
Virgo - If you haven't done it, complete and submit your taxes this week. Actually, you should make every effort to complete any paperwork that has to go out. Taurus - HC 17 ,18,19 rise early and go to bed late filling each day with meaning. The pressure to perform, volunteer or meet expectations should sharpen your skills, not wear you to a frazzle. Scorpio - Pick your battles. If it won't matter a year from now, then it should matter so much now. If it's worth fighting for, then go well prepared. LLC 17,18,19 rest, relax and eat right.
