ARISHTANEMI BHAGAVAN - 22 The being that was to be Bhagavan Arishtanemi, in his earlier incarnation, was Shankh, the eldest son of king Shrishen of Hastinapur. One day some citizens and wayfarers came to the king and informed him that the highways approaching Hastinapur and the surrounding area were being terrorized by bandits and smugglers. No traveler or villager was safe from the attack of the bandits. Robbery and murder became a daily routine for them. The citizens requested he king to protect the masses. the king deputized prince Shankh to go and punish the bandits. Prince Shankh was an accomplished diplomat and strategist. He planned and conducted his campaign in such a way that he apprehended the leader of bandits without any bloodshed. While he was on his way back he heard the cry of help of a young princess abducted by a Vidyadhar (a lower god); prince Shankh challenged the Vidyadhar, defeated him and saved princess Yahomati. when these young people saw each other they fell in love and got married. In due course prince Shankh ascended the throne. Once a scholarly ascetic visited Hastinapur. King Shankh went for his Darshan, an asked him, "Why am I so deeply in love with Yashomati that all my desires to renounce come to a naught." The ascetic said, "Your marital ties are many a life-time deep. For last six lives you are being married to each other, this is the seventh birth. That is the reason for such intense and deep feeling of love for each other." The king asked, "When these ties will be broken?" The scholarly ascetic replied, "In your ninth incarnation you will be born as Neminath and she as Rajimati. In that birth you will be able to break this tie of love and become twenty second Tirthankar. Rajimati will also follow you on the path of renunciation and get liberated." The Birth as Arishtanemi Knowing all this Shankh had a deep feeling of detachment. He gave his kingdom to his on and became an ascetic. As a result of high spiritual practices and deep devotion for Jnan he earned the Tirthankar-nam-and gotra-karma and reincarnated in the Aprajit dimension of gods. Bhagavan Rishabhdev and twenty one other Tirthankars were born in the Ikshavku clan. The twentieth Tirthankar Munisuvrat was born in the

Harivamsh clan. The great king Vasu was also from Harivamsh clan. After a long time this clan saw another illustrious king Sauri who was the founder of the famous Sauripur town. Sauri had two sons Andhak Vrishni and Bhog Virshni. Andhak Virishni had ten sons, the eldest was Samudravijay and the youngest Vasudev. The being that was Shankh descended from the Aparajit dimension of gods into the womb of queen Shiva Devi, wife of king Samudravijay of Sauripur. The fourteen great dreams indicated that this being was to become a Tirthankar. On the fifth day of the bright half of the month of Shravaan queen Shiva Devi gave birth to a son. As per the convention 56 goddesses of directions arrived and performed the birth celebrations after the post-birth cleaning. During the naming ceremony the king conveyed that as the queen had seen a disc with Arishta gems, the new born will be called Arishtanemi. Vasudev, the younger brother of king Samudravijay was a charming and handsome person. His senior queen Rohini had a son named Balram (Padma) and junior queen Devaki had a son named Shrikrishana. Balram and Shrikrishna were the ninth Baldev and Vasudev. During those times the whole area of central India had become a disturbed area due to prevailing conspiracies among various kingdoms. Cruel Kamsa and oppressive Jarasandh (the Prativasudev) were the worst of these feuding principalities. In order to be away from these everyday problems and as per the advise of an astrologer, the Yadav clan, including Samudravijay, Vasudev, Ugrasen, Shrikrishan etc. migrated from Mathura sauriur to the west coast. Shrikrishan constructed the large and beautiful town of Dwarka on the sea coast and near the Raivatak mountain (Girnar). Its grand architecture and strong fortification made it heavenly beautiful and unconquerable. The Power and Prowess of Arishtanemi One day while wandering around, youthful Arishtanemi reached the hall of weapons of Vasudev Shrikrishna. Seeing the divine weapons he first lifted the Sudarshan Chakra (the disc weapon) curiously and whirled it playfully. He then lifted the giant bow, Sarang, and bent it as if it was a thin cane. After this he lifted the Panchajanya conch, put it to his lips and blew it hard. The piercing loud sound emanating from the great conch shocked the town. Shrikrishan rushed to the armory. Seeing Arishtanemi playfully handling the he giant and heavy weapons belonging to Vasudev, Shrikrishan was

astonished. He asked "Nemi! did you blow the Panchajanya?" Nemi innocently replied, "Yes brother! It is so cute I could not contain myself." Shrikrishan knew that is weapons were beyond the capacity and strength of any warrior in the world. He was astonished and pleased at the same time, that his young cousin was so strong and powerful. He wanted to test Nemi’s strength further; he invited Nemi to the gymnasium for a friendly trial of strength. First Shrikrishan raised his arm and held it straight asking Nemi to bring it down. Nemi forced Shrikrishna’s arm down without any apparent effort. After this Nemi raised his arm and Shrikrishana, in spite of all his strength could not force it down. He even put all his weight on the outstretched arm but as if it was a beam of steal, the arm of Nemi did not move even an inch. Shrikrishan was very pleased knowing about this unprecedented strength of his cousin. He thought that this great individual, much more powerful than him, is capable of becoming a Chakravarti. but how could he become a Chakravarti if he does not change his attitude of detachment for all worldly activities. Shrikrishan formulated a plan. He asked Nemi to marry and start his family life. Nemi still did not show any interest. Shrikrishan now consulted his queens and organized a spring festival. The ladies dragged Nemi Kumar to the pool for water games and there they used all their guile to pursued him to agree for marriage. Shrikrishna also requested once more. Nemi presented a smiling but thoughtful look. With his divine knowledge he became aware it was the marriage celebration that would initiate him on the path of liberation. As such he did not oppose the proposal. His silence was taken as a sign of affirmation and it was joyously announced that Nemi Kumar had finally agreed for marriage. Nemi Kumar was filled with despair and a feeling of detachment. He said to the elephant driver, "If I agree to be the cause of the butchering of so many living beings my life and the one to come will be filled with pain and misery. So, I will not marry. Immediately arrange for the release of all these creatures; turn back and head for Dwarka." The driver looked at him in astonishment. Nemi Kumar said, "This is an order." The driver went and opened the gates of the fenced areas and cages. The animals jumped and ran away into the jungle. They were saved from the torture of death. The driver came back and turned the elephant towards Dwarka. On the way Nemi Kumar took out all the valuables and ornaments on his body and handed them over to the elephant driver.

The news spread panic in the marriage procession. All the seniors of the Yadav clan tried to change the mind of Nemi Kumar, but in vain. Even Shrikrishna could not dissuade him from his determination. Nemi Kumar said to the elders, "As these animals were prisoners in the cages, we all are prisoners in cages of karma which are much stronger than these fences. See the feeling of joy evident in the animals released from the cages. Know that happiness is in freedom, not in bondage. I want to tread the path of breaking this bondage of Karma and embrace eternal bliss. Please do not stop me." When Rajimati, dressed as bride, heard of this act of Nemi Kumar she could not tolerate the sting of sorrow. she fainted with shock. When she recovered she started crying and again lost consciousness. After a yearlong charity, Nemi Kumar sat in a palanquin named Uttarkura, and, passing through the town of Dwarka, arrived in the Raivatak garden. He got down under an Ashoka tree and pulled out five fistful of hair and after taking off all ornaments and the royal dress. He became an ascetic along with one thousand person on the sixth day of he bright half of the month of Shravan. Shrikrishan was deeply touched by this incident; he blessed his younger cousin and wished him success in his mission. Arhat Neminath spent fifty four days in deep spiritual practices and then went to Vijaynat hill (Girnar). On the fifteenth day of the dark half of the month of Ashvin, in he afternoon, he was observing a two days fast and was meditating under a bamboo tree when he became an omniscient. Establishing he four pronged religious organization (Tirth) he became the twenty second Tirthankar. When Rajimati recovered from the melancholy she decided to follow the path taken by Neminath. Prince Rathnemi, the younger brother of Neminath, tried his best to seduce Rajimati. But she could not be distracted from her goal. When Rajimati came to know that Neminath had become an omniscient, she went to the Samavasaran of neminath along with many of her friends and took Diksha. She lost herself in penances and other spiritual practices and in the end got liberated. Bhagavan Arishtanemi got liberated, at the age of one thousand years, on the eighth day of the bright half of the month o Ashadh. A number of historians accept that Arishtanemi, he cousin of Shrikrishana, was a historical figure who greatly contributed towards vegetarianism, compassion and Ahimsa. This is the point where Jain prehistory fuses with history.

READY TO GO FROM SCHOOL TO COLLEGE ??

background or past life. It is quite possible that as a child, he was not allowed to go out of his home, play and freak out with friends. These individuals start believing that their home is their only world and they are not safe outside. Such a mindset soon becomes their personality. Personality also influences what we think, our beliefs, values and expectations. What we think about others depends on our personality.

Before you say you are ready think about it, do you have a personality that will make you a Collegiate and not a school kid ? Every individual has his own characteristic way of behaving, responding to emotions, perceiving things and looking at the world. No two individuals are similar. You might like going out for parties but your friend might prefer staying back at home reading his/her favourite book. It is really not necessary that if you like partying around, your friend will also like the same. Here comes the role of personality. What an individual sees in his childhood days and most importantly his/her growing days form his personality. How an individual is raised plays an important role in shaping his/her personality. Personality is nothing but the aggregate conglomeration of memories and incidents in an individual’s entire life span. Environmental factors, family background, financial conditions, genetic factors, situations and circumstances also contribute to an individual’s personality. In a layman’s language, how we behave in our day to day lives reflects our personality. How an individual behaves depends on his family background, upbringing, social status and so on. An individual with a troubled childhood would not open up easily. He/she would always hesitate to open his heart in front of others. Some kind of fear would always be there within him. An individual who never had any major problems in life would be an extrovert and would never have issues interacting and socializing with others. You really can’t blame an individual for not being an extrovert. It is essential to check his/her

In a layman’s language personality is defined as the personal qualities and characteristics of an individual. Personality is how we interact with others. Personality is a sum of characteristics of an individual which makes him different from the others. It is our personality which makes us unique and helps us stand apart from the crowd. Determinants of Personality Following are the factors which help in shaping one’s personality: Heredity - Heredity refers to factors that are determined once an individual is born. An individual’s physique, attractiveness, body type, complexion, body weight depend on his/her parents biological makeup. Environment - The environment to which an individual is subjected to during his growing years plays an important role in determining his/her personality. The varied cultures in which we are brought up and our family backgrounds have a crucial role in shaping our personalities. Situation - An individual’s personality also changes with current circumstances and situations. An individual would behave in a different way when he has enough savings with him and his behavior would automatically change when he is bankrupt. An individual’s appearance, character, intelligence, attractiveness, efficiency, style determine his/her personality. What is Personality Development ? Personality development is defined as a process of developing and enhancing one’s personality. Personality development helps an individual to gain confidence and high self esteem. Personality development also is said to have a positive impact on one’s communication skills and the way he sees the world. Individuals tend to

develop a positive attitude as a result of personality development. An individual’s personality refers to his/her appearance, characteristics, attitude, mindset and behavior with others. Let us go through the importance of personality development.

Personality development grooms an individual and helps him make a mark of his/her own. Individuals need to have a style of their own for others to follow them. Do not blindly copy others. You need to set an example for people around. Personality development not only makes you look good and presentable but also helps you face the world with a smile. Personality development goes a long way in reducing stress and conflicts. It encourages individuals to look at the brighter sides of life. Face even the worst situations with a smile. Trust me, flashing your trillion dollar smile will not only melt half of your problems but also evaporate your stress and worries. There is no point cribbing over minor issues and problems. Personality development helps you develop a positive attitude in life. An individual with a negative attitude finds a problem in every situation. Rather than cribbing and criticizing people around, analyze the whole situation and try to find an appropriate solution for the same. Remember, if there is a problem, there has to be a solution as well. Never lose your cool. It would make the situation worse. It is essential for individuals to behave well with people around. Being polite with others will not only make you popular among other people but also earn you respect and pride. You can’t demand respect by being rude with people around. Personality development plays an important role in developing not only your outer but also inner

self. Human being is a social animal. One needs people around. An individual needs to have that magnetic power which attracts people towards him. You need to have that charisma of yours. Personality development helps you gain recognition and acceptance from the society as well as people around. Personality development plays an essential role not only in an individual’s professional but also personal lives. It makes an individual disciplined, punctual and an asset for his/her organization. An in-disciplined individual finds it difficult to survive in the long run. Personality development teaches you to respect not only your Boss and fellow workers but also family members, friends, neighbours, relatives and so on. Never make fun of anyone at the workplace. Avoid criticizing and making fun of your fellow workers. One should never carry his/her attitude or personal grudges to work. Office is not a place where you can be rude to others just because you had a fight with your friend last night. Personality development sessions help you differentiate between your personal as well as professional life. It is really essential to keep a balance between both the lives to lead a peaceful and stress free life. Personality development helps an individual to inculcate positive qualities like punctuality, flexible attitude, willingness to learn, friendly nature, eagerness to help others and so on. Never hesitate to share information with others. Always reach office on time. Some people have a tendency to work till late. Late sittings not only increase your stress levels but also spoil your personal life. Sitting till late at the office indicates that an individual is extremely poor in time management skills. Personality development helps you develop an impressive personality and makes you stand apart from the rest. Personality development also plays an essential role in improving one’s communication skills. Individuals ought to master the art of expressing their thoughts and feelings in the most desired way. Personality development makes you a confident individual who is appreciated and respected wherever he goes.

10 COMMANDMENTS OF SUCCESSFUL INVESTING Let me unveil the 10 commandments of successful investing today. These commandments strictly followed can make you a successful investor; make you richer. The successful legendary investors like Benjamin graham, warren buffet have followed these principles. So why not you‌? 1) Decide your investment strategy and stick to it: An investor may invest in mutual fund SIP and when the market continues to fall he will discontinue his SIP. But market crash is the right time to continue your SIP. Because, during the market crash you will get more number of units and the averaging works out in your favour. Another investor may decide 50:50 as his debt:equity asset allocation ratio. When the market goes up he may want to invest more in equity and hence he may change his asset allocation to 30:70. Actually when the market goes up one need to reduce his equity exposure to bring the portfolio back to his predetermined asset allocation ratio. Don’t change your strategies midway. You know what is best for you and this applies to deciding with foresight the ideal investment strategy for you. Once the strategy is set, do not fluctuate in your decision each time you decide to invest. This would only mean losses instead of profits. 2) Conduct your own research on stocks: It is not advisable to just depend on hear say and decisions of your neighbor, friend, relative or tips from the media or your stock broker and invest in stocks. It may seem easy but could amount to gamble. Being an informed investor investing your hardearned money needs you to ensure if the investment would meet your financial goal. This could be done through research from various sources.

3) Learn to overlook short term fluctuations: If you want to be a successful investor, you need to understand that it is futile to be affected by shortterm fluctuations of the stock market. Investing in good and reputed portfolio ensures good quality of your investment and capital appreciation in the long run. The short-term volatility of the share market has got nothing to do with the long term performance of your investments and achieving your financial goals . 4) Resist investing in penny stock: Some investors have a common misconception that it is better to invest in penny stock than in high value stocks. This is wrong as whether you buy stock at Rs.5. You need to see the background of the company before looking at the price of the share. 5) Discard the losers and pamper the winners: There is a tendency among investors to sell off appreciated stock and to hold on to depreciated stock in the hope that it would rise. It is wrong, as it is possible that the shares which are not doing well may continue to underperform and the shares that are doing well may continue to perform in the future. It is better to acknowledge you went wrong, swallow your pride and discard the loser stocks and lessen your losses. Your decision lies in deciding to suffer a one-time loss for future longterm gains. 6) Look before you leap Even good company shares bought at the wrong price can be a poor investment choice. So devise some strategies like SIP, asset allocation to avoid this mistake.

7) Adopt an open-minded investment strategy: It may be advisable to consider investing in good companies, however it is wrong to overlook the point that small start-up companies would make losses. Even such companies with good strategies and growth plans could contribute to long-term capital appreciation. Always have an open mind in taking your investment decisions. 8)

Base your investment strategy on the future: Investment decisions based on past happenings may not always be right. It is better to consider the happenings, but give more importance to the present and future prospects of the investment. An informed decision based on the fundamentals and mission of the company helps in long-term wealth creation.

10) Adopt a long-term perspective: Adopting a long term prospective is advisable if you want to be a successful investor. If you want to get short term results, then you will be able to cultivate only coriander leaves. If you want to grow a large banyan tree then you need to wait for years. So if you really want to be richer and create wealth, you need to be a long term investor. You could have seen a lot of success stories of people, who bought a good stock 10 or 15 years back and accumulated a good amount of wealth now because of the appreciation of those stock prices. But have you ever heard of a person accumulating wealth by trading in the stock market or moving in and moving out of the market? By trading in market you may make profits in a few transactions, but you will not be able to make profits forever. There is a lot of difference between making profit in a single transaction and being a successful investor forever. Knowing Vs Doing

There is a huge difference between knowing what we should do and actually doing it. The knowledge piece appears quite sexy; being interested, learning something new, coming up with that cool idea. The doing part sounds comparatively like routine work, no matter how easy this work may be to do or how obvious that it should be done. 9) Consider tax friendly investments: Making investment decisions based on tax considerations may prove counter-productive. However minimizing taxes and maximizing returns after taxation would help. The long term capital gain tax is nil. So if you invest for a time horizon of more than one year you will have better post tax return.

Don’t fall into that “knowing Vs Doing gap”. Now you know the 10 commandments to successful investing and put it into practice to become richer.

SANJAY DUTT – VILLAIN OR VICTIM?

After the Supreme Court upheld the conviction of Sanjay Dutt, Bollywood has petitioned Parliament to pass legislation exempting rich, spoilt kids from the purview of Indian law. A visibly seething Mahesh Bhatt ranted, “While the poor kids make mistakes knowingly and need to be punished most severely, the rich kids and youngsters just make silly mistakes. Now you can’t punish someone for making a silly mistake. That would be plain silly.” Continuing his argument, Mr.Bhatt said, “Now Sanju baba made some silly mistakes as the young son of two insanely famous people. He became a drug addict, developed friendships with underworld and even carried a few assault rifles and hand grenades during the most turbulent phase that Mumbai has seen. Now tell me what is the point of being rich if you cannot do all these silly mistakes? How will other rich kids respect you? Look at my son, if you don’t trust me. Wasn’t he involved with David Headley? Trust me, it is all part of the tough growing up process of a rich kid. Life is not all plain sailing like that of the poor kids. We need new lenient laws for our children.” Jaya Bachchan, already famous for shedding buckets of tears in Parliament, was again crying uncontrollably when this reporter approached her for a comment. She recovered briefly enough to say, “We people in Bollywood have families, you know? Just because we are extremely rich doesn’t mean we do not have feelings. Sanju baba has such a big-heart that he went out of his way to put in a good word for

Abhishek when Aishwarya was still undecided about getting hitched to him. He is so much of a family man that he married three times. What kind of society is this that convicts such a family man and a humanitarian? I shall raise hell in Parliament demanding that he be pardoned and laws be changed.” She then called up Aamir Khan and started crying. Shahid Kapoor, the leading intellectual among the young Bollywood stars, said that the Supreme Court needs to have some youngsters as judges. The other new intellectual Imran Khan said that the principle of natural justice requires young judges to judge young people. “If you can drink, have sex and vote after 18 and get married after 21, it is natural that we should have some judges at 21,” he said. A mournful Sonam Kapoor said, “Justice delayed is justice denied. As the case was delayed so long, he should be denied jail and be let free, yaa.” When approached for a comment on Sanjay Dutt’s arrest, Priyanka Chopra said she only wants what’s best for Shah Rukh Khan. Aamir Khan was involved in an intense discussion with cameraman about the best angles to capture his tears and emotions before making a statement. A drunk and disturbed Salman Khan was seen speeding away into the night in his BMW. Kangana Ranaut was heard screaming, “BASTARD, you BASTARD” at random people while tearing away at her hair and clothes.

Realistic filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said that the country needs to be ‘realistic about the reality of the Bollywood’. “Bollywood is a wholly different world to the rest of India. Links to underworld, drugs, rapes, pedophilia, physical assault, drunk driving and bad filmmaking are all part and parcel of the reality of Bollywood. Life here is already very difficult as it is and you cannot expect us to abide by the laws of Rest of India. It is an unrealistic expectation,” he said before demanding the unconditional release of Sanjay Dutt.

WHY VILLAIN ?

But, the confessional statement of Dutt clearly indicates that Dutt's crime was grave as stated by the Supreme Court. Given below is Dutt's 1993 confessional statement in the Mumbai blasts case Confessional statement of Dutt was recorded under Section 15 of TADA on April 26, 1993 at 15:30 hrs (First Part) and on April 28, 1993 at 1600 hrs (Second Part) by Krishan Lal Bishnoi the then DCP, Zone III, Bombay.

(i) I am having three valid license for fire arms and possess 3 fire arms as mentioned below: (a) 270 Rifle of BRUNO make; (b) 375 Magnum Double barreled Rifle; and (c) 12 Bore Gun of Double Barrel (ii) I purchased these weapons due to my fondness for hunting. I normally go for hunting with one friend of mine, viz., Mr. Yusuf Nullwala as he is an experienced hunter. I also know one friend of Yusuf Nullwala by name Kersi Bapuji Adajenia and met him three times (iii) In December, 1991, I had given dates for shooting to actor producer Firoz Khan for his film 'Yalgar'. He had taken the whole unit for shooting in Dubai. During one of the shootings, Firoz Khan introduced me to one Mr. Daud Ibrahim and also to his brother Anees during another shooting

session. After that, Anees used to visit us regularly during the shootings and also at the place of our stay (iv) Since Anees used to come frequently, I become well acquainted with him (v) I also know the proprietors of Magnum Video, namely Hanif Kandawala and Samir Hingora. I also signed for acting in one of their film 'Sanam'. Samir is treasurer of Indian Motion Picture Association (IMPA). Hanif and Samir used to come quite frequently to my house for taking dates for shooting from my Secretary (vi) Hanif told me that if I so desire, he would make immediate arrangements to provide an automatic fire arm to me for my protection. Initially, I did not show any interest but when Hanif and Samir started repeatedly telling me to acquire a firearm from them, I gradually fell prey to their persistent suggestion and expressed my desire to Hanif and Samir. They said that they would immediately provide me with an automatic fire arm (vii) One day, in mid January, in the evening, around 9.00 to 9.30 p.m., Hanif and Samir came to my house along with one person by name Salem. I had met this Salem once or twice earlier also (viii) Then these 3 fellows told me that they were coming tomorrow morning with the weapons to be delivered to you. Then they went away (ix) Next day morning Samir, Hanif and Salem all three came to my house along with one other person who is not known to me (x) They came in a Maruti Van and parked it in a Tin shed which is used by us for parking our vehicles. One person was sitting inside the Maruti Van. After about 15-20 minutes, he took out three rifles and they said it is AK-56 rifles (xi) I got some cloth from my house and gave it to them. Salem and the person who has come with him wrapped those rifles in the cloth and gave it to me (xii) When I opened and saw it, there were three rifles some magazines and rounds, they have told me that there are 250 rounds. The rounds were kept in another hand bag fetched by me (xiii) On seeing three rifles, I got scared and told them that I wanted only one weapon. Then Hanif and Salem told me to keep it for the time being and in case it is not required, we will take away the rest of the two weapons

(xiv) They have also shown me some brown coloured handgrenades and asked me whether I want that also. I do not want these grenades and you may please leave my house immediately, I told them (xv) I kept these rifles and ammunition in the dickey of my Fiat Car No. MMU 4372 and locked it (xvi) On the same night, I removed the three rifles and ammunition, kept the same in a handbag which I kept in my private hall which was on the 2nd floor of our bungalow

(xvii)Two days thereafter, since I had considerable mental tension, I contacted Hanif Kandawala and requested him to take away the weapons. He said that he would arrange to send somebody to collect the same. After two days, Hanif Kandawala and Samir Hingora along with Salem came to my house in the evening in a car. I returned two AK- 56 rifles and a part of the ammunition to them but retained one AK-56 rifle and some ammunitions with me (xviii) Around September 1992, during one of my shooting at R.K. Studio, one Kayyum, who is a member of Dawood Ibrahim gang, who had also met me in Dubai at the time of shooting of the film Yalgar approached me with a stranger. They offered me a 9 mm pistol with ammunition. When I saw it, I liked it and had a strong desire to purchase the same. They offered it to me for a sum of Rs 40,000/-. I paid the said amount in cash to them at my house and purchased the same. I do not know the name of that person who was brought by Kayyum. However, he was aged about 35-38 years, apparently, Muslim, dark

complexion, height about 5'8", fat built, moustache, medium curly hair, wearing shirt and pant. I will be able to identify him if brought before me. He also handed over 8 rounds of the said pistol

(xix) On 2nd April, I left for Mauritious for shooting of the film 'Aatish'. There I was informed by a casual contact that Hanif and Samir have been arrested by the Bombay Police for their complicity in bomb blasts (xx) On hearing the news, I got frightened as these fellows had given me the AK-56 rifles and they may tell my name to the police to involve me in the bomb blasts case. I contacted my friend Mr. Yusuf Nullwala on telephone and asked him that something is lying in a black coloured bag which is kept in my hall at the second floor of my house and it should be taken away immediately and destroy the things completely which are there in the bag, otherwise, I shall be in a great trouble. By this time, the news about my possession of AK56 rifles had appeared in the press and on coming to know about this, my father asked me about the truthfulness of this news, but I denied the same. My anxiety about the whole episode became unbearable and I decided to return to Bombay in between. My father informed my flight details to the police and I was picked up by police as soon as I landed at Bombay and I confessed the whole things to them.

really senseless political drama and cases of mistaken identities have been added..

There is a reason why I hate movies form the 80’s, barring a few. They are blatantly ridiculous and have all the ingredients that can leave us confused and question our senses and when a movie from that era is remade there is nothing more that I could have expected. Needless to say, it falls way below my expectations.

As for the acting , it is as pitiful as the plot. I don’t know why an actor of Ajay Devgn ’s caliber who has won national awards has gone for such a stupid role which totally undermines his acting prowess. Tamanah looks beautiful would be an understatement. She plays a perennial damsel in distress but is nothing compared to Sree Devi in the original. She over acts in most of her parts. Apart from the leads another disappointment in the movie is Adhyayan Suman who achieved a feat in terrible acting. Paresh Rawal happens to be an only saving grace in the movie and the only reason you would likely take a risk to watch this movie.

When director Sajid told at a press conference yesterday that he does not even want half a star for his movie I never thought he would go this far. He did not want it for a reason – The movie does not deserve it and as mouthshut does not allow me to give it a half star rating, I’m about to draw Sajid ire upon myself.

What can I say about Sajid’s direction. Well it is no less compared to what Farah (his sister ) or Shirish (his brother –in –law) had to offer. And trio completes what I can call the most Trilogy of ridiculousness in the form of – Tees Maar Khan, Joker and Himmatwala.

The movie is not a complete copy of the original but just a whimsical take of it, many of the original characters in the 80’s himmatwala are missing while new idiotic one’s are introduced. Plus there is much more masala including silly item numbers, fights with tigers, a really annoying plot surrounding a village election – which I think was an unnecessary change from the original. Many disappointing additions are made to an already inane plot – an attempted gang rape, some

The Songs though was good enough but the lyrics are nothing new and have been taken from the original. Lack of originality is becoming a serious cancer in Bollywood these days. I don’t have any more himmat to write about this movie. My Rating 2 / 5
