The management and founders of The Haven bring a background in the nursing field in addition to having developed businesses outside of the industry. These skill sets and operating experience bring value to the organization and the franchise system. Founders Esther and Douglas Cromwell opened their first family care home in 2005 and expanded to three by 2007. Douglas is a Registered Nurse and graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2008 with a BSN. He also has a certificate in Culinary Arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania Academy of Culinary Arts in 1995. Esther has her Masters of Social Work as well as Bachelors degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. Mr. Terry Hubbard owned five businesses starting in 1984 including a full service automotive service business. He created another automotive service company in 1994, and built processes and procedures to sell the business in 2012. This was the largest distributor of a proprietary software package for independent automotive service. Through joint partnership with Esther and Douglas Cromwell, The Haven at Weaver Crossing, LLC was established in April 2013 and opened for residents in June 2013. Site Location and Assistance The Haven management team will assist franchisees with site selection. Five full days of on the job training will also be provided for the franchisee and one other member. Training at the New Facility There will be two visits to each franchisee’s location. One occurs during the implementation process. Site approval is required after the initial deposit is made and during interviews with Contractors to begin the conversion process of a Haven location. The second visit from the management team will take place during the on-site training period. On-site training typically takes place when the franchisee commences operations of their The Haven franchise model. An experienced trainer from The Haven Family Care Homes, LLC will provide on-site training for a period of three days to assist the franchisee in the commencement of operations. Ongoing Support The Franchisor will provide ongoing training and support in many areas critical to the success of the franchisee’s business, including franchise operations and client service techniques, recruiting, scheduling guidelines, and administrative procedures.
